Can someone post a work friendly pic? FW is considered bad because of "gaming" yet Dakka isnt

Nice stuff as usual! Shame that the cc weapons are so sparse in the kit. A set of 5 shields and weapons and another set of combi-weapons would have been more to my liking.

Bolters are nice but nothing that I need as they look to similar to Goodwyn pattern guns without the banana clip.

Assault marines are super cool, love everything about them!

They've hinted at assault Terminators on their Facebook page, so I wouldn't give up hope for that!

Agreed - I would love to get just the combi-weapons!

I think it was this kit that they showed there, if I remember right.

I have to say I actually like this stuff. It's kinda got that retro-esque feel, without being as weak as many of the old designs (as nostalgic about them as we may be) actually were.

Not that I'd pay FW prices for something I could convert with relative ease and much more cheaply, but still, they look nice.

That's what was being shown at the Open Day, yes - I think it was labelled as a character upgrade kit.

IIRC, Will Hayes was talking about the possibility of doing an Assault Terminator set, given they've already got the weapons designed.

Dagnabbit! I caved and bought some Mk V AMs just last month, and then they go and release my joint favorites mere weeks later!

The 'insideaheadatron' that WOTC used to use on my mate Andy is now in the posession of FW!

Oh well, the £30 I saved by not buying the new BL Raven Guard novella has a new home.

The Assault marines are really unimaginative and lazy, they hae just taken the five MK IV guys and included Sanguinary Guard jump packs for a £11 markup... a ripoff if you ask me...

I must have four of every combi-weapon!!!

They added Chainswords and bolt pistols and Jump packs for your £11 actually
I like the terminator weapons, but i dont like the fact i have to buy so many of the kits to get what i need !!

I like all of these really, but the bolters for the terminators with extra bits look the best for me.

The heads aren't even the same. All the legs are different as well. The regular set only has two leg variants.

Except that they're new arms, legs, torsos, heads, packs, grenades, pouches, chainswords and pistols too. The only thing that looks like it might be a re-use from the previous mk iv kits is the shoulder pads and the 2 standard mk iv helms.

Whoops my bad It's hard to see the pictures on my phone (the pictures are small). Now that I am checking out on the computer they do look really good

Can anyone tell. Me what good the power mail and axe would be for a standard marine army? I don't recall any rules for these items with termies, are they a imperial armor item only? I cleanly could use them for count as thunder hammers, but are they may for sergeants ?

They're just power weapons, they have no additional rules. As far as loyalist terminators go, their only use is on characters with terminator armour or for sergeants in a Terminator squad.

While cool, the combi-storm bolters are just for characters right now...so how well would they fit onto a normal bolter do you think? Or is it a lot of combi-weapons to sit in a bitz box...?

I just wish the assault marines were a bit more, y'know, assaulty. The poses are pretty static. Something like an Imperial take on the Shadow Spectres would have been cool to see.

If you swapped the legs between the Tactical and Assault squads, they might look a bit more mobile.

Ok. The weapon pack for terminators is Bomb. Love the fact that they are making the add on combi weapons.
However...
as with many of their new Space marines, i am not fond of the marines themselves. They look stiff. No sense of dynamism to them at all. Also i wish there was a shot of the jump packs since they are presumably wearing them. Those might be worth while if they were sold seperatly.

I love the new Terminator.upgrades and Assault Marine kits. The MK IV Assault Squads jump packs are interesting. I think I've seen them on a model before but just can't put my finger on it. I like the look though.

As.for the TDA upgrades? Perfect. I have been.looking for a Combi Melta for ages now and haven't been able to.find a Terminator Compatible one. The storm.shield looks epic. I think I may buy the upgrade. It looks compatible with the regular termies but I think they used the Tartorus to showcase and sell them. The TH I don't like though. To small.

1 Terminator will be magnetised, to have all the weapons. SS looks epic, and is a great place to put some iconography. The Lightning Claws cool, the combi weapons are beautiful and the right handed power fist will be great for conversions too. The

I mean, it won't cost much to reboot my Salamanders. Just a few assault squad packs, a Tartaros pattern terminator squad, and some older pattern power armour to mix through my normal guys.
