I mean, it won't cost much to reboot my Salamanders. Just a few assault squad packs, a Tartaros pattern terminator squad, and some older pattern power armour to mix through my normal guys.

But I won't do it. You can't make me.

Yes, yes you will. Embrace that fine resin crack and let it flow through your veins.

Yeah that killed my interest, I was thinking they were meant to be mounted under regular bolters.
I think they're being done this way to make them visually closer to the Contemptor design where all the dual weapons are adjacent instead of stacked.

You're probably thinking of Sanguinary Guard, minus the wings.

This is, emphatically, why I will continue suggesting nuking Guard and starting over again. It's a legacy army that needs to be rebooted with a new focal point.

Yes, that's it. I have seen Sang Guard built up many times without the wings. It looks aweful. But on these it rocks.

Well if you look at the earliest full set of terminator minis the heavy flamers were all side-by-side and this was the reason the contemptor was done with the same configuration.

Whenever I order some of the sets, I'll PM you. I plan on getting enough to arm a couple squads with these TH/SS and LCs, and Deathwing can't take combi-weapons, so they'll just be lying around unused.

It may be that the combi weapons fit snugly under bolters as well, just on that little lip under the muzzle...

Gonna be honest and say I'm not a huge fan of this whole "retro" schtick that FW's been on for the past few years. Then again, it is less money I have to spend.

The hard part is I always wanted an army of mark IV armour ever since they had that single boringly posed metal in 2nd edition. Now not only do they have tacticals/devastators, but now assault squads and fething terminators in mark IV. And a dreadnought that fits the same aesthetic as those terminators.

Seriously Forgeworld, it's not funny anymore.

I've got to be honest and say I'm a huge fan of it.

And judging by how well they seem to sell, and the fact that FW keeps making them, combined with the success of the HH book series, well, looks as if some part of the GW Empire is doing the smart business thing!

I wish they sold packs of 5 Thunder Hammers/Storm shields, i'd make Assault Terminators out of these in a heart beat.

Those jump packs look dangerous. It looks like they will turn your body into a rocker powered sled heading stright for a concrete wall,
But i want those combie weapons. I need to buy from forgworld.

So you are saying they look like something Orks should use?

They actually remind me of Rokkit Packs now I think about it.
