MK IV Space Marine Assault Squad - £32:

The MkIV Space Marine Assault Squad contains five multi-part resin Space Marines clad in MkIV ‘Maximus’ pattern power armour. Containing the most advanced systems and offering exemplary protection, the assault variant of MkIV armour features an unusual jump pack design that uses a single thruster combined with smaller manoeuvring jets. This kit also contains bolt pistols, chainswords and a variety of grenades and pouches. Models designed by Will Hayes. These models are available to pre-order now for despatch commencing from Friday May 25th.

Space Marine Terminator Weapon Set - £14

Those warriors of the Adeptus Astartes entrusted with a suit of Terminator Armour are often heroes beyond compare. Paragons of the Chapter, Captains and Librarians bear the most hallowed relic-weapons into combat, while others will take up sacred combi-weapons; the blessed potency of the holy bolter embellished with an additional firearm such as a plasma gun or flamer.

The Terminator Weapons Set comprises two Tigrus-pattern combi-bolters, a thunder hammer, a storm shield, a power axe, a power maul and a pair of lightning claw attachments, as well as a right-handed power fist to enable the pair of weapons to be built. All of the current terminator kis come with a left-handed powerfist.

I suppose you have to use the kit with the tartoros pattern terminators to do a matching pair?

The Tartoros terminator fist doesn't look much different, if at all, from the standard terminator fist to me.

Not bad I like the helmets on the assault marines. The assault packs are meh. Remind me of the Sanguinary Guard packs without wings.

That's essentially because they are! I like the more compact design instead of the enormous jet engine ones or the kind of silly ones we have in plastic.

3 sets of resin weapons + the terminators themselves for a Terminator Assault Squad with mixed weapons for a grand total of £78.

Not so bad if you're building a Space Hulk line up. Probably only ever need one set.

Suspect that they've got another set or two in the works, specifically for Heavy Weapons (Cyclone, Assault Cannon) and maybe a command upgrade.

There were also rumours of different heavy weapons bounded around one of the FW open day threads I looked at:
Return of the Grenade Harness rumour
Possible Plasma Cannon or multimelta rumour

Either way, these look alright, the Mark 4 assault squad looks.... underwhelming though.

I was wondering that as well, thanks for mentioning it.

I have to be honest. I didn't think much of the Tartaros Terminators when I first saw them, but seeing them from those different angles in the assault variant pictures is making me re-think that; they actually are pretty nice.

The other assault marines are kinda ho-hum. I like the single-big-engine jetpacks in a big way, though.

I think what I like those most, oddly enough, are those holstered weapons and pouches. Those pouches in the middle are great.

I'm with you there. Originally, when I saw them, I was completely underwhelmed. Now with some painted models appearing on the internet, these weapon upgrades and everything else, I'm warming to them somewhat. Remains to be seen what other upgrades they put out. Really hoping for a librarian upgrade, with proper helmet and not bare headed like the current lot.

I've never been a fan of Mk.IV armour... but I have to say the Assault Marines are nice. And those odd Terminator suits do look a lot better with CC weapons.

Bolters or Boltguns, not stormbolters. That would have 3 barrels and look stupid.

I've got a feeling that the two included bolt guns have only one side, the other left blank for one of the supplied combi-weapons.

That set of CC weapons is simply awesome.

Great looking storm shield, good looking weapons, great parts for combi-weapons.

Even if you have nothing to do with terminators, if you play Space Marines this kit is a must-buy for every bits box.

Looking at the kit further it looks like it includes 2 storm bolters that are missing one side. Bit of a shame considering there are six combi weapons. 3 should have been a minimum.

Not so excited for the release any more. Sad face.

It is actually 4 combi-weapons, 2 of each kind.

But the guns look like they would be great for magnetizing in order to switch out what weapon you want. It's like a perfect version of the Chapterhouse kit with even more options
