Armybuilder question. How/where do you get the heavy weapons for your heavies??? All I got in their equipment is options for basic/pistol/closecombat weapons, just like for other gangers. Only place I can find heavyweapons at is the stash, in gang summary. Help a ganger out

Thanks for the excellent blog Migs! Love seeing your stuff, and the regular updates are a thing of beauty. Your stuff is really making me wish that Necro would resurface around my parts, as I never got a chance to play it those years ago ...
Can't wait to see your roster, or some pics of the other gangs in on the action. Speaking of which, those wraith cawdor are insane! Good lord that's awesome stuff!
Thanks again Migs, keep 'em coming and good luck in the Hive!

I couldn't get to dakka yesterday Was it down? Well too updates today I hope. DAY7 <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]-->No pics of painted models today. Why you ask? Because I want to varnish them before taking some pictures. I got almost the whole gang painted today! Doing factory style work helped a lot and I have the hard work behind me. This means I have just the fun stuff, the final highlights, some detail, glazing and weathering to do. I also got ?Abbot?, the flamer heavy, fully finished. You will see him tomorrow. <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> I also played my first game today! What a fan game it is!! I first watched Sickbunny?s SWAT attack Hammer?s Bloodpact, before slipping away voluntarily. Sickbunny had a great start with his 50cal barret conversion (Auto Cannon rules) blowing up the pact leader from his vantage point, but Hammer got back and the SWAT moved away to lick their wounds. Both gangs are SO COOL! As soon as I get to meet them somewhere with even moderate light, I will take pics. I?ll also write full battle reports eventually, with pics, when the gang building effort is less intense. <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> I then met the winner, Hammer, in my first game. The Gang Fight game went well for the veteran guardsmen of Gauer, who used superior squad level tactics to engage in fights where they had devastating firepower superiority. The Bloodpact lost 3 ?man down? and bottled. The Inquisition confiscated the traitor settlement! Gauer and his henchmen also captured two of the mysterious pact and after thoroughly ?interrogating? them, gave them away for the custodies (Hammer didn?t want to buy the losers back). I rolled a lot better for experience than in the beginning. Ganger ?Cherokee? got WS+1 (lol) for a wonderful shot that took Fester from the Pack out. ?Loot? rolled a six for his experience and I opted for stealth, since the bugger has no guns. I rolled escape artist, which is fitting for his size. <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> This game really gave me more juice to keep going and I?m already thinking about new additions. I was very surprised to see how cool a game it is, how much fun overwatch etc. is and how it allows you to have fire teams advance and then have other cover them. It?s also great to have so many cool gangs in the campaign. <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> This is going to be fun!

Excellent news on the gang Migsula! I can't wait to see the full crew, and the gangs of the other players too.
Yeah, Dakka was in it's usual condition yesterday, most pages loaded after a few minutes.
I got the pics of that wraith gang from some necro site I think whilst I was busy researching what gang I would buy. I have close-up pics, as well as painted pics, but I suppose you already saw the painted gang. As for army builder, I don't have a clue, sorry.

Day 8 and 9 <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> The whole gang is pretty much done. You?ll see the heavies today, two very different models. A priest type of henchmen with a flamer, and a former =I= stormtrooper with a heavy stubber. Both did very well in game one and earned 11 and 10pts of experience respectively.

I usually only lurk on Dakka now, but I wanted to chime in on this thread because I felt it was worth it. I really dig the brown on the flamer heavy. There's a rich and warm chocolatey tone to it that's just wonderful. Good on you Migs.
PS. The dakka text editer makes me want to gouge me eyes out with a pen.

Simple, effective and technically good painting on that =I=. It does have an indefinite unfinished look to it though, like you're about to add some colour or highlighting somewhere. Basically, I'd have to take off my glasses and hold him a few inches away from my nose to appreciate him.

Day 10 <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> I?m posting a mammoth update today. I?ll be away on a business trip, so the daily update thing wont happen, so you get the whole current gang today J It took me a week to finish the whole gang ? they aren?t showcase quality, but neat enough gaming models that I?ll be happy to tweak after games/stat/gear-updates. <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> The gang is likely to grow of course, and I?ll be reporting of the additions in due time and also posting stuff about the games and the campaign. I?m also working on another small team of miniatures, now that I?ve found such a cool little skirmish system with narrative added. (more of this in a another thread after the trip) <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--><!--[endif]--> Thanks for the support and thanks for following! <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> (check out my pbase for pics of the individual gang)<!--[endif]-->

GW has become that guy just a bit too far into his late 30's at the club full of 20 year olds. Yeah, his stuff was hot last decade, but he refuses to accept that it's time to buy a new wardrobe. Rather than buy it, he's constantly arguing how cool his still is.

I'll say it again, you're an inspiration in discipline and determination. They might not have the same sort of finish as your Crescent Guards but they're still awesome, and even more so when we consider the time you had to complete them. Thanks guys! I'm back in town and hopefully get to enjoy the gang and play some more games now. Like a few of you mentioned, this isn't a "showcase" project like the Crescent Guard, but a fast fun project to get started with Necromunda. It'll be fun to see how the models evolve - and someday, if there's a gang number 2, I'll take it s l o o o O O O W W.

The blood - I use dark browns and reds to build up some blood splatter, then TAMYA Clear Paints. Red works the best, but as somebody stole mine and they no longer sell the stuff here, I use orange with a hint of red ink added, and it does the job. Thanks Gordy
