So an anti GK ork army would be
Ghaz, Snik + commandos all in one unit (and hope they come on early)
3* 3 kans with KMB's or 3 battlewaggons
Mix of troups with nob PK and bosspole
Bigmek +KFF to protect the kan wall/battlewaggons
add toys and boys to taste.

Previous post advised on GK "not" casting at the right time.
I cannot stress how important it is to ask to see their book. I have started making a list of the psychic powers, what unit they can come from, and when they have to cast.
Reason~ GK players have trouble tracking it themselves. I also have a uniform policy, I do not let that slide against them, if they use it in the wrong phase, too bad. It may sound harsh, however I enforce it only at the tournment level.
Lootas are fantastic against GK in general. They have low numbers. So often its great just to unleash on 1 squad at a time and flat out kill it dead. I've learned i'm not that concerned by the Storm Raven when its empty and if its fired its missiles. Kill the troops that can score, and Dreads if you are given an opportunity.

Grey Knights come in too many forms to cover all bases.
In general they lack long range firepower. Usually assassin and dreads are the threat. So you may be able to out shoot them before they get into 24''.
Then rockets is the way to go against paladins, you should take rockets to deal with other armies tanks in any case. Also make them roll for morale as often as possible.
Purifiers need to be shot down, which isn't too hard.
You'll find that orks are actually quite good against tournament lists for GK. In general they will be just expensive marines as far as you care. Like, for example, army wide power weapons should not concern you too much.

My concerns with warbuggies and khans is that the kff specifically states as well as the Ork FAQ that the only vehicles protected by the kff are those within 6", I can not imagine getting all 9 buggies or khans within 6" of the mek or vehicle he is in... then how do you fit the green tide behind the khans to get them to squeeze within that 6". If I am making a wrong assumption, please let me know or correct me, thanks. Cheers

That is incorrect. What the FAQ says is that only units within 6'' are under the protection of the KFF. Since three killa kans are one unit and you need to have 50% of you vehicle obscured you need two within 6''. Also remember that walkers only need their base within the 6'' not the actual size of the base within. So with 2 Big meks it is pretty easy to hide 9kans and probably 9buggies although I never tried the last one

I think that for 5 points, KMBs on Kanz are something worth considering over a Rokkit.

Shoot them dead anyways? Have Thrakka and your nobz smash one unit each? What else are you supposed to do? It's not like thy are more survivable than a tactical squad. You can still charge them to finish them off, the are not immune to boyz, just very efficient at killing them. I think that for 5 points, KMBs on Kanz are something worth considering over a Rokkit.
If your tailoring, sure. Against most armies those are 45 wasted points tough, if you aren't fielding some Grotzookas anyways. KMB are an option if you are guaranteed to face a terminator army, otherwise there is a lot of better stuff you can get for 45 points.

The big one for you is might of titan. You can charge a unit with Killa Kans/Dreads, and he has to wait for his turn to cast might of titan. This gives you a chance to deal damage and break the unit, before the GK player can do a lot of damage in return.
2 Hammerhands will still be sufficiant, especially if there is a hammer in there anyway.

If I'm wrong let me know, but p 62 of the main rules gives a 4+ save for being obscured from wargear unless the codex says otherwise, and then you use the cover for squadron rules.

Actually I would give up against crowe. Too many purifiers and cleansing flames.
I rate along side any army that has land raider spam, orks are not going to win.
Actually the cheap in $ Draigowing is also a little harsh on orks.
You find in tournaments though armies are more balanced so orks do have a chance.
KMBs on kans I would be happy with, though it depends on a lot. Frankly I would be happy instant killing paladins 1/6 of the time, though 2/3 of the time is obviously cooler.

I played a game practice 1850 against a GK Draigo wing, Draigo in LR with 5 Palidins and a stormraven with libby and 5 dudes. He did not take psyfleman dreads which I think would have killed me. I was able to take out his stormraven on turn 2, then took out libby and squad with 2 khan squads and on turn 3 the help of my deff dread. He failed a couple psychic tests which helped me in that CC. He go the squad out without Draigo and my kommandos and Ghazy got in on that turn and although it cost the kommandos and a WAAGH killed all but one paladin and ghazy had no wounds. He gave up after turn 4. Don't think I will get so lucky on future games, but thinking back I do not think the Mega Blastas helped me that much so may drop them. The local Gaming Club has 2-3 that play draigo and GK, however our tournies are 24-28 spots, so chance may not face them.

For squadrons which vehicles has a cover save is irrelevant, as long as the majority of a unit has a cover save, every model in that unit can use that. The Ork FAQ doesn't change anything about that. Check squadron and mixed cover rules if in doubt.
