Looking GREAT! Keep it up, and they'll be begging you to join the League.

Also, check this place out for templates for scratchbuilding: http://games.dir.groups.yahoo.com/group/bwc-archive/?v=1&t=directory&ch=web&pub=groups&sec=dir&slk=1

The League of Extraordinary Riveters. You'll see them wander into your thread soon enough. Watch people's signatures.

And, yeah, you have to join, but they don't spam you. They have really great templates in there, well worth it.

I'm just a kitbasher, not a scratchbuilder.

don't know, i'd say that nuketank was pretty 'sculpted', alot of resourceful creativeness there.

At your request, here I am!

Npoe for the muzzle break, I recommend a file, and make some "vents" for the Battle cannon, you have some very interesting ideas, I would avoid the figure eight treads.

Ah, I both Kit Bash as well as Scratch build, to be a =L='er, you must also use RIVETS!

Otherwise, the shape looks tight, love the louvered engine vent concept!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Easiest if the copy of the Phaeton pattern turret, once you get more comfortable with the making of things,m the more Germanic angled turrets will be easier to tackle.

The older Leman kits used what GW called the Phaeton pattern turret

the new turret looks very good... with all those added details it looks very good...!

and with some further added details *coughsrivetscoughs* you are on the road to winning^^

and yes...for the leaque i have to see rivets aplenty first...

and brian...kitbashing or scratchbuilding...either way... the devotion of rivets is what matters!

i have no riveting enabling devices unfortunately :(

well if you have styrene rods then just slice´em! that is always a good start... or if you want more rounded rivets then you could drill small holes in the armor plates and add small beads as rivets... and shaso did many of his creations with PVA glue rivets...

^ Can't agree more! a model without rivets looks ok.. But a model WITH rivets looks awesomely amazing!

Plus it adds to the look of realism..

OH! And btw, That new turret looks amazing! did you sculp that "commanders hatch"?

Yes, he salvaged a spare rhino cupola for his tanks, I do the same thing on my scratch built beauties.

Now to see the rivets,,,,Oh yeah, I used the small tips from superglue like on Zap-a -Gap on a PVA glue bottle small enough to fit it and learned how to size the glue almost liie a candy maker in that PVA rivet method!

follow this man´s lead and you are set! sounds easy but isn´t...but when you get the hang of it you get the cheapest but good looking rivets around!!!
