I'm sure PP is going ape on the developers. It's a development studio and should know the ins and outs of writing code for the App store.

Why? This is a new policy for Apple. Development started on this months ago.

This policy has been out for months. They let developers know. Apearantly THG didnt listen.

It goes live when it goes live. Nothing to be done about that. I just hope their request for expedited approval actually means something. I've got a tournament coming up on the 4th and I'd really like to have it by then.

It doesn't, but it's very easy to create code that interferes with it. I have a friend that has made a few apps for shiggles, and he ran into that once or twice.

I'm planning on getting a 7" android tablet some time over the next year. Hopefully they'll have a bundle of all cards for all factions available after the initial release period.

I think he means a single bundle for EVERYTHING at a discount rather than just the faction packs.

There's one of those already in the bundles aduro. $60. The most expensive bundles. That's what laughing man was referring to.

Deck is like 7.99 I think. All hordes is 29.99. All warmachine is 39.99. All factions period is 59.99.

I could be wrong and decks could be a dollar cheaper.

Im going to do the bundle purchase. It beats 50 pounds of books. Ill probably do a cheap Tablet just for War Room. This makes handing over an expensive electronic device a little easier to stomach.

Laptop + Emulator FTW.

I would suggest the Kindle Fire by Amazon. It is only $199 and can use the Android market.

I'd recommend the Nexus 7 instead. The Kindle was kinda nice when it came out, but the Nexus 7 is the same price, and it's specs blow the Fire out of the water. Not really any reason to get the Fire right now, unless they drop the price by another $50.

I'm VERY disappointed in this app. With all of the hype and everything, you would have thought that it would be amazing, but you can't even make an army list unless you buy the faction deck!

I thought that you would be able to make a list for free, but only need the faction deck so you could have the cards available on your phone/tablet.

If it wasn't for the fact that Forward Kommander has issues on my phone, I'd use it

$6.99 is a cheap price in order to get all of the cards for your army. normally its around $15 and you don't even get all the cards. I think War Room is great except for the fact that it hasn't released for my Kindle Fire yet.

$6.99 only gets you your faction cards. It's another $6.99 to get the Mercs, and Another $6.99 if you want to use Saxon Oric.

There are tons of reported problems. Internet over cellular connection is supposedly not working yet. Lots of devices (mostly androids) are crashing. Some people are struggling to get their purchased decks to be recognized. Some people have also reported that they can't utilize lists on a second device that were built with the first device. Then there are functionality complaints like extremely small buttons and interface, very slow response times / no response times, and lack of functionality for built in device buttons like the back button. More complaints about the army list builder not enforcing any list restrictions and not applying theme bonuses (though I think this was never listed as a feature).

Developers have stated that they are working on the big three issues, device crashing, cellular connectivity, and ensuring that people are able to use what they pay for. Hopefully they get that ironed out and spend some time simply improving the app based on user suggestions. Personally, I'm going to wait for a while before I pay into the system at all.

Or, if you're like me and have multiple armies...

There's a bulk 60 dollar fee if you're building for everything.

Assuming that you paid for cards...

Pros:
I <3 being able to read card rules whenever/wherever.
You can read full rules for theme forces.


Cons:
Putting a list together can be slow.
There's no pact/contract/theme filter.
Attachments are wonky.
Full rules for theme forces have typos (at least the one or two that I looked at).

For someone like me, rules anywhere overrides mostly everything
else.

If you're only play Warmachine casually, I'd say find something else.

Works fine on Wifi on my droid bionic. It crashes when not on Wifi though.

*Shrug* I've waited this long for it to release, I guess I can wait longer for it to be fixed.

My big problem with Warroom is I want a good list builder, and Warroom is not intended to be one, yet the forced the guy who was making one to stop.

If anybody was having issues with their android phone and war room they have just put out a version that works. Well, at least on my hTC sensation. Well, I say works. I mean loads up and lets me experience the unresponsive app in all its glory.

Mine only crashed on startup every "other" time, it would load just fine (we'll just say on all odd number starts) the other times. Oh, droid bionic.

I have the same problem with my Evo. I think there's something with how it releases assets when it closes and it doesn't do it all the way.
