Depends on how you define chaos and the warp. The Warp itself (AKA Empyrean, the Immaterium) existed long before the NEcrons did, and, technically, so did the beginnings of each of the various "chaos gods". They were not "birthed" yet, however.

as far as SM go, besides the aformentioned Dante and Bjorn, Lysander is kinda up there. Granted he was stuck in a warp storm that spit him out 1000 years into the future, but he has to hav been born 1100 or so years ago atleast.
Although its mentioned that even Lysander doesnt remember a time when Dante wasnt with the blood angels.

He is not, that just gets mis-interpreted all the time.

And I'll point out a GW contradiction.
Lysander was sucked into the warp 1100 years ago and was stuck there for that time.
He can't remember a time when Dante was not Chapter Master of the BAs. And he was a couple hundred years old when he got sucked in.

We've been over this in another thread, I believe.
As per the 5E Codex, Lysander was sucked into the Warp "in the latter years of M40" and reappeared " nearly a thousand years later". If you do have a source that is more clear on the dates, feel free to add it - but for the time being, the "sucked in 1100 years ago" looks like interpretation to me, and one that is in conflict with what the books actually say. It could just as well be 800 years.
Not to mention that time within the Warp is not necessarily equal to real time, so how long he has been away does not mean anything for his actual age either way.

Well considering the ordeals he underwent after coming out, its safe to assume it was many decades. I simply rounded to 1100.
And he was first captain when he got sucked in. And he was gone for a thousand years of real space time.
So assuming 200 years for him to become first captain. If he was immediatly sucked into the Warp upon becoming captain(not what happened) and then spent 20 years or so after reappearing being a prisoner of the Iron Warriors and then escaping and being tested for purity.
That would put him around around 1200 years in the past. So at least that long ago Dante was Chapter Master.
Therefore, Dante must be well over 1200 years old(in the 1500 range) by this account.
Of course GW contradicts their own fluff alot so its all messed up.

I just don't see the contradiction. At least I do not regard it as absolutely necessary, if you simply consider that "nearly a thousand" does not equal "1.000". And neither do we know for sure when he made First Captain.
I'm not sure if the Blood Angels are maybe different than any other Space Marine Chapter in this regard (due to their longevity), but if this would be standard for the Astartes there wouldn't be many First Captains and even fewer Chapter Masters around, especially since you'd probably expect them to hold this post for a while.
After all, now at last we know that Space Marines "only" have 2-3 times the lifespan of an average human being. And then there's battle casualties, which the Blood Angels will suffer from just as any other Chapter.

Not necessarily. Lysander's nearly 1,000 year delay doesn't show up on his service roster as more than a footnote.
(ie, there's a line that says he reappeared 1,000 years later, but there's not 1,000 separate entries of campaigns or battles he's been in during that time, because he simply hasn't been in any.)
Similarly, Dante's 1,100 years of service will not reflect time lost in either relativistic real-space travel or the Warp (and in 1,100 years there will be time lost in the warp, if not in single chunks as great as Lysander's), so he could easily have 1,100 years of experience while having been Chapter Master of the Blood Angels on a separate, "absolutist" timescale (call it earth standard or whatever) for much, much longer.
So subjectively from his point of view he's served the Imperium for 1,100 years, while from the point of view of the Imperium, he's been around for much longer.

Yeah, I'm just saying that Lysander's memories go back well over a thousand years. And he can't remember a time when Dante was not chapter master of the BAs.
Therefore, it must mean that Dante was chapter master at least for a thousand years or so.
And I've never heard of a Marine becoming Chapter Master fresh out of the scout squads. You should be at least a couple hundred before making the position.

Still ignoring that:
a) "nearly a thousand" could mean anything from 999 to ... I dunno, 800?
and
b) Lysander could simply not remember a time when Dante was not Chapter Master - literally.
or
c) Lysander was simply joking, as it would be an appropriate joke to make for someone who just travelled through time. "I cannot remember a time Obama was not President!"
At the end of the day, GW's only exact statement was the "1.100 years old". Anything else is conjecture, and as we can see hinges on several factors that are open to interpretation, regardless of you stating them as facts earlier (as you obviously believe they are, even if the actual texts say differently). If you still prefer your assumptions to what it clearly says in the books ... fine. All I can do is point the latter out.
Grey Templar wrote:And I've never heard of a Marine becoming Chapter Master fresh out of the scout squads. You should be at least a couple hundred before making the position.
Yet "a couple hundred" would, in most cases, apparently mean that the Marine becoming Chapter Master is already dead or close to dying of old age. Lysander is an Imperial Fists Marine, hence does not benefit from the longevity of the Blood Angels. Hence I assume that your assumption regarding how old Lysander was when he was made First Captain is incorrect. There is no contradiction unless you want it to be.
And I don't think anyone suggested that an Astartes would become Chapter Master "fresh out of the Scout squads". Perhaps Space Marine advancement is measured in decades rather than centuries? Once we move away from the extremes ("Scout becomes a Chapter Master" vs "it takes them ceeeenturies!"), things may suddenly start to fit together.

800 is NOT nearly 1000. IMO it means somewhere between 900 and 1000.
800 is around 800. Not nearely 1000.
Lysander's fluff directly contradicts the fluff on Dante is all I am saying.
And please, Lysander isn't losing his memories or senile. He's not saying "I can't remember anything..."
He's saying that in all his memories Dante has been Chapter Master.
