Nice use of the plastic strips as parchment!
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Word Bearers supposed to have silver trim?

Thank you!
You are correct, but I'm quite keen on gold at the moment, so I went with that instead of silver!

Just finished up my first squad of 'Bearers, and I quite like them. Easy, and quick to paint, look good from a distance, and this means I can get my 1k army painted up for a tournament I'm running in February to run as Ringer.
I'm also working on my HQ for said army, a counts as "Huron Blackheart", let me know what you think before I start painting!
And finally, I just put together a more "upright" Forgefiend. I quite like it, it's pretty imposing. Can't wait to get my airbrush so I can paint this badboy.
Gimme some feedback!
Thanks -Joe

First - sorry if I've missed it, but what are the banners made out of exactly? coke tins and milk bottles? (It looks great) Second: I like the concept of the bipedal fiend, with the following constructive criticisms: A - The legs / feet are too small for the rest of the build, looks like it's going to fall over and will constantly be doing a baby-waddle trying not to topple. Not sure how to fix it.. but longer or bulkier would likely be the way to go... B - The 'head' looks like it wants to be angled down a bit more, as combined with the arms being wide, it adds to the flailing image. Personally, I'd draw inspiration from the Serious Sam Biomechs for ideas here I think. The conversion looks clean though, and everythings nicely done, just the nature of the model like this I think. Though this has given me an idea to a Forgefiend kind of like a Gravoid crossed with a prawn with gatling cannons on its back.

Loving this thread, really like the look of your Huron counts as so far and the Word Bearers are looking great also.

They're made from plastic store cards, just melted slightly and bent into shape. I suppose butter/ice cream tubs would work too!

I thought that myself, not sure how to fix it though, maybe just make bigger feet? Straighten the legs? I'll try a few things and see what I can sort!
Honestly, the head thing, I think it's just the angle of the picture? I'll take some more tomorrow so you can see what I mean
Thanks a lot for the comments, and feedback though guys! Really means a lot that people dig this.

I think to be honest most of the possible issues with the Forgefiend are simply from the angle of pic. Looking forward to seeing it painted in the colours of the WB's.

So it's been quite a while since I last updated, so I thought I'd post a little teaser of what I'm up to right now!
On Saturday I won my local GW's painting competition with this little guy-
The competition was tough, so I'm kinda stoked that I won, the model was a lot of fun to paint too, so that was a bonus!
Right now I'm working on my first Daemon Prince, which may or may not be based on a certain character from a certain spider themed comic book...
Some feedback would be MARVEL-ous...
Cheers, Joe
