I think they're hoping that people will assume that as it is a bulk bundle it must be discounted. It is quite a hassle to add up all the individual costs for the things in it by scraping around the site. That's what I think. I also think it is an appalling business model where you do not provide bulk discounts. Assuming you are looking to move volume and make use of economies of scale then it is all about volume sales and a lower unit cost is more than made up for in reduced production costs, raw material costs, etc. At present they do the opposite. It is, for example, cheaper to buy termagaunts in the little boxes than it is to buy them in the 12 packs. I know the models don't have adjustable poses but it is a termagaunt for goodness sake. You can buy a CSM attack squad of 5 models for £15 or 6 in the little boxes for £12, both types are just guys with bolters, go figure.

With the snap fit Chaos marines I cut the arms off and used spare bolter arm bits to add new special weapons troops to my squads.

The bundles changed all that.
Thanks GW!
You have a hard time going "click...click...click...click..."? ive never had a problem navigating and i go on there a LOT to do price comparisons from ebay deals.
Sir Samuel Buca wrote:Some of the bundles make sense, such as the Drop Pod Assasult, but the Legion of the Damned bundle makes so sense to me. £104.50 for 17 models, not only is it an odd price, but it's an odd number. People are still going to want to beef it out with 3 more models.
And free shipping here is £10.
Yea odd numbers drive me crazy too. I absolutely refuse to buy more Loota Burna boyz boxes unless they happen to come as a bonus (or like 5 bucks lol) because its giving me FOUR burnas/lootas and a mek. Who the hell uses the mek? I want 10flat or 15flat lootas so i need to "technically" buy a 4th box to finish my numbers - or i can grab a bunch of random weapons and goto town with greenstuff and a saw and make my own lol.

I just realized that this is one of the only times I haven't found user reviews and ratings on a companies website.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."
"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

It's interesting to me that one of the core principles of market economics is the idea that consumers will make their choices based on the best information available to them. There is an implicit assumption that a consumer will go through the ~5 minutes it will take to price compare on the internet if it will save them an entire day's salary, but it seems instead that people are often as likely to spend an entire day's salary to save themselves from 5 minutes of research on the internet.
Convenience is an interesting phenomenon, and I believe that we as a culture require more scientific research into its effects on human behavior.

I figured that the reason they don't do discounts anymore is because people buy the bundles to break up and resell on ebay below normal price. They don't want the regular sales of tactical squads and rhinos affected by that sort of thing.

Surely there should be a discount of some sort. All this comes in a single box I am assuming. They save money on packaging material, should we as customers? Forgot I was talking about GW.

So there wont be another AOBR lol
I mean how many people use the GW deffkopta instead of the AOBR version? Its expensive as hell and quite frankly i think it looks stupid compared to the AOBR one all over ebay for 4-6bucks a pop.

It is a bit of a necro.
Though it would be interesting to hear if many people have had the experience of accidentally buying things they didn't want by that bundle feature.
