Under the couch

As an added tip on this... it's best to pin your minis to the base, as card delaminates (tears off in layers). If the miniatures are knocked, they can just pull off the base with a piece of the card still stuck to their feet.

Alternatively, you could achieve the same effect with thin plastic.

Thanks, Great tip! Pinning or using plastic will definitely strengthen the model. It will of course cost a little extra time or money.

I use a similar method, using Cork tiling. It breaks apart easily enough and makes great rocky out crop, and costs next to nothing.

Think im actually going to try this on my necrons ... do the concrete sandstone or grey and sand orange (or no sand) - so it has a tomb feel to it.
