Got the filler out today and stuck the cars and boxes ro the highway. Bit o sand and paint next.

With the release of Escalation it was a kick up the behind to get my nurgle baneblade finished.

I wanted it to look plague tower esque, lots of wood, rusted metal, cobbled on top of a captured baneblade.

The main cannon is meant to be loaded with slime by the two daemonic parasites on the back.

I built it before the new rules were out so it has av14 sides and no sposons, meh.

Got to build crew next, need lots of guys loading and faffing around, and a twin heavy bolter crew for the front.

Bightblade looks great and I'm impressed by the highway.

How did I not notice this thread until now? Those elevated road sections are awesome! Have you thought of doing chunks of collapsed roadway partially submerged in the effluvium of the swamp? You know as rubble bits to place in between the still intact parts of the roadway?

Ive added some pics below of the highway in a huge apoc game at a mates gaff, you can see it with a bit more paint on, still needs weathering though

Ive got some paint on the Blightblade too!

Got the painting on the Blightblade completed, solid day of hobby.

I hit the lower sections, tracks etc with a lot of FW weathering powders. Sealent went a bit shiney, meh.

I wanted a real rough look to the entire tank so I applied lots of sponge weathering, overall I was quite happy with the results, got to build all the crew next, the heavy bolter team for the front are on their way to completion.

That genuinely looks bizarre when I finally get around to my Epic plague towers I'll use that as inspiration thank you.

Nice work mate. I love the look of the blight blade. great job on modeling things up with lots of conflicting colors.

OMG That Blightblade is amazing! I agree, great use of colors all around. What did you use for the parasites on the back? Looks like Skaven Abomination?

Got the first two of the demolisher crew painted, officer and slime swabber ( I like to imagine the machine spirit of the gun is appeased by the liberal application of daemonic slime)

The plague marine is going to be pointing over the side and directing the whole thing.

Got a mutant loader and a spotter to paint next.

New army time!!
Going to a team tourny in Brighton in April and I want to take something fun and new!

Gonna do DA Guard, blob with Azrael, executioners with power field libby, all the silly toys. And fully converted into a mechanicus army.

Lets do this!

I have finished building the Fabricator General that I will be using as Azrael, to represent the 4++ that he gives to the unit he joins I have built the model with an arcane mini void sheild generator on its back!

Heavily inspired by the FW magos model I wanted him to be insectoid and towering over the other adepts!
