He he they're cool. I must admit I was expecting tentacles but I understand if your trying to produce stuff fast and at low cost. Well done, I hope they serve you well.

Hehe - well, I was actually trying to give them tentacles, but didn't work out, so I just said f this, life's too short, you are going to be floating jellyfish bags.

Oh wow, these look amazing. Makes me want to hang my head in shame-- my 'nids are nowhere near as polished looking as these. I love the black and green together, very eye catching!

I like them, tentacles would have been nice but I'd imagine they'd take ten times longer to model. They still work really well and you've tempted me to model my own too, depends how's cheap I can pick them up for on eBay.

Thanks!

Ok, here are 12 more gaunts that I started on. If they are finished, then I have all my starting and reserve units painted for the tourney next month! Yah!

Had a game with my nids, and disaster struck! Stupid cat decided it was going to jump on the table panels where almost all of my nids were situated. Needless to say, models went falling to the ground.

Fortunately the damage was not too severe - hard coat seal ftw! Only a few nicks on the rims of the bases, and some arms having to be super glued again.

Biggest casualty is my one tervigons tongue - snapper when it fell to the ground.

Will fix later next week.

Oh mate that's gutting, my heart goes out to you. I had a nasty incident with my tervigon last week where it smashed into several pieces and chipped paint of. Her tongue was ok but the gant scrawling out of her lost his.

Thanks man! Finally got time to correct the damage.

Also did some work on the griblies:

Going away the weekend, but next week I am focusing again on my nids, Eldar will just have to wait for another week!

Those nids look pretty cool, like the colour contrast. Great work, keep it up.

Cheers

wow these are very striking!! I really love the high contast yellow/black armor plating!

I have never understood the logic behind painting models in several different parts, and THEN assembling it. How in the world is that easier? Would you elaborate on this-

Look forward to seeing more of your bugs! Go check mine out sometime!

Beacuse certain types of plastic kits, it is easier to paint parts without the whole model assembled. Was much easier for me to paint my tervigons without the head and side legs attached.

Same with my mawloc, esier to paint without the arms assembled.

Same with my flyrants with their wings and arms not attched.

Doesn't apply to everybody, but for me it makes it much easier at the end of day to paint them.

Thanks!
