No because I don't like games that last more than 3 hours, eventually I just get tired of continuing the same game / waiting through a 30 minute player turn.

Tempted, but I'm not sure. I'll be moving to Pittsburgh next month, and its a decent sized city but I'm not sure if there are any Apoc games there. Beyond that, I'm not sure what else I'd need to buy. My main army right now is Dark Eldar, and I have no intention of using them in Apoc. But if I take my 3000+ points of foot Orks, ally them with my 2000+ points of mech Guard, add a Stompa and Baneblade and go game with it? I really want those models anyway as I'm getting closer to finishing my armies paint wise, so perhaps I might as well.

Plus, I'm a fluff and picture whore.

I love Apoc. Yeah, it's kinda silly but it's also more of everything that is 40k. I wish every game were 10,000 points.

Probably not. I may eventually pick up a shadowswoard to paint (I do love the FW model for it) but I really don't have any intention to play Apoc.

That, and I am off to college next year, which is seeing me downsizing my collection. Buying Apoc would be counter productive.

EDIT: Although if it REALLY picks up at the FLGS in the three months I am here, then I might get the rulebook, but that's it.

I'll never play apocalypse. IT's just not fun for me.

However. I think this is the first time I've seen a limited edition collectors edition from GW and gone..."Yeah...I think I would pay that much for that." The collectors edition is beautifully laid out, contains everything you need for apocalypse and more, and best of all, isn't just a reprint of the standard rules with a different cover and sleeve for twice the price.

IF i were going to play apocalypse, I would get the collectors edition. But, i'm not going to, as 6+ hour games get tedius

I never played apocalypse in its previous iteration and now its just so darn expensive, I accidentally won a Shadowsword on ebay awhile back and with not wanting to invest a bunch of doh into apoc, I'm not sure if I'll ever get to use it. I had wanted to get one Baneblade and 1 more Shadowsword but it seems Canada is becoming the next Australia in prices (ie $170Can for the "new" combo kit). *sigh*

I'll be playing it, but not buying it.

We only ever play Apoc. occasionally at the FLGS, and that's when there's tons of people there, a lot of which know the rules and have all the relevant stuff. As far as I'm concerned, there's no need for me to buy any form of rules.

In terms of models, I'm not buying anything as of yet, but that's only because I don't collect any of the armies they correspond to. If something from the Ork/Eldar/Nid range comes out, I may consider buying it, if it's awesome enough to justify the probably colossal price tag.

Even then though, I probably won't. I usually play Apoc. with my Orks, since it's probably my biggest army and I already have a Stompa for that. I'm not sure if I'll be needing anything else.

I thought about it and was leaning towards yes before I saw the release. 75 bucks for the rules, 140 for one tank, so 215 if I want the two new things for my army.

Yeah, no way.

My group has played a few games. They were a fun distraction from the regular game.
As far as strategy, there is some. But any game has some level of “Strategy” in it. Though we have found that the higher the points, the more it’s about “Pushing Plastic” around and less about real strategy. (I am not saying this is a bad thing.
Like I stated earlier, as a group will get a copy just wo we can play our 1-3 times a year APOC Games.

I voted yes, with a basic purchase. Loved playing "Floor-Hammer" back in 1st and 2nd Ed, and still enjoy the occasional Apoc game these days. But since I scratch build my own titans, my expected entry into the new Apocalypse will be small for a while.

Yes, with basic purchase. I want the Redoubt with the lascannons of sillyness for my Krieg in normal games, and at least two guys in the group are buying the book, and I likely will at some point, but not immediately. We do monthly Apoc games, so the rules are worth it, but I've got a sizable enough collection to do an Apoc army as it is, and GW isn't making it easy or attractive for me to develop it specifically for Apoc.

Besides, I had to pay back my student loans this month, despite still being in university (bureaucrats are rather bothersome sometimes), so I don't feel like spending any more than my usual budget in any way, shape or form. That bunker and a krieg HQ squad is about where I'd like to stay spending wise.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.
