From a pure numbers perspective I have to say the vendetta.

From a fun / psychological perspective, my username gives it away. Look out, Marbo is right behind you.

For my Imperial Guard if has to be Lt. slap, well now Cpt. slap. (The name is because it looks like he is about to slap someone)

Lt. slap and his squad of Stormtroopers pretty much got in a 1v1 with Mugan Ra. They shot at him and managed to bring him down to one wound. The next turn Mugan Ra fires, kills 4 Stormtroopers, charges into melee, kills every squad member other than our brave lieutenant. The lieutenant strikes out twice, landing one blow fatal blow, with Mugan Ra failing is fortuned 2+ armour save.

IT is for that reason I always take my Stormtroopers when I play guard.

Oddly enough, fire warriors.

Seriously, people always ignore them, and they're always the ones who do the most damage to things. In the last game I played, I had two squads, over the course of the game, essentially kill three daemon princes and a bloodthirster through sheer weight of fire. They were aided by some missile broadsides, but most of the wounds were done by fire warriors.

Hmm. Hard to pick something that'd perform consistently, truth be told. I guess the closest thing would be my Chaplains, they usually end up killing reasonably with their own attacks, while also providing reroll goodness. Marshals giving army-wide Ld10 is definitely not a bad thing either, given that even a single casualty can send your unit running as a BT.

It'd have to be the Honour Guard, as a single unit. (Or Pyre Guard, as they are known in the Salamanders) Some people say they're overpriced, but for badass intimidation and admittedly good Close Combat value, I like 'em anyway.

But I usually include my chapter master (since that's the only way I can have honour guard...) attached to them, and that makes them even cooler.

I can't say how many Bloodletters or Nobs they killed, but it's a lot.

By bolter and honour, by blood and fire, we shall cleanse this galaxy. By Vulkan, and by the Emperor, CHARGE!

Yo Dawgs, I heard you like grimdark, so I put grimdark in yo grimdark in yo grimdark in yo universe that is obviously grimdark.

Guardian jet bikes have been MVPs for me as well. I have yet to play with them in a Kill Point mission, but with objectives on the table they easily snatch victory from defeat.

I have also been pleasantly surprised with my Wraithknight. He has shown to have the constitution of a bus station vending machine in most of the battles I have played.

For me it is my forgefiend. I primarily play against xenos, so my AP4 8 S8 shots a turn is a godsend.

My all lascannon havocs kick a lot of a** too. Nearly every turn, a other vehicle bites the dust.

For my IG, it would have to be either my counts-as Marbo (who has earned me Slay The Warlord so many times), my LR exterminator for reliably chewing through hordes and light vehicles alike, or my PF vet sergeant, who went 5 rounds with a dreadnought without dying, tying it up and keeping my objective-sitters safe. Honourable mention to the humble Platoon Infantry Squad, always punching above their weight.

For my SW, it has to me my MOTW Lone Wolf. It takes a certain kind of awesomeness to disarm a dreadnaught with just teeth, claws and attitude. He is a great throwaway unit that always kills more than he can be reasonably expected to. Great fluff too.

For my DA, the humble Prescience Librarian. Cheap, effective, and a great force multiplier.

My Tyranid Primes. I don't know why, but my opponents always think scything talons, toxin sacs, adrenal glands, and dual boneswords is nothing to be afraid of in close combat. Then they challenge him and their world falls apart.

This horror, this abomination, has thought and purpose that functions on an unimaginable, galactic scale and all we can do is try to stop the swarms of bioengineered monsters it unleashes upon us by instinct. We have given the horror a name to salve our fears; we call it the Tyranid race, but if is aware of us at all it must know us only as Prey."

This. When a 90 pt model takes out a squad of Wyches, a squad of Warriors, a Succubus and a Haemonculi by himself..you know he is worth it.

Other times my opponent will just focus his entire armies shooting just to take him down.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

My Tactical Squad Sergeants and my IG Sergeants.

My favourite SM Sergeant is just a red helm dude I painted up quickly for a tournament. Since the Dark Angels Codex dropped this year, he has:

-Overwatched a mob of 6-8 Hormagaunts with his squad and wiped them out before they even reached them (S.O.D buff)
-Finished off a Tervigon through Overwatch with his squad (No S.O.D buff)
-Finished off a Tyrannofex with a bolt shell and a krak grenade with his squad (No S.O.D buff)

And that was all in the same game.

-At a recent tournament, his squad fired at a Flyrant, and got one hit with a bolter. That bolter shell wounded him, he failed his armour save, his feel no pain, his grounding test, I wounded him again through that, he failed his invulnerable save and his feel no pain after that.

One bolt shell essentially wounded a Flyrant twice. I had crap luck for the rest of the game though

He's the reason I'm keen to get the new Sternguard, I think I'll create a squad of Deathwatch Marines and he can be the Sergeant, since he always gets his best luck against Xenos.

My IG Veteran Sarge has done this stuff since the drop of 6th:

-Killed a Daemon Prince with his plasma pistol when I had absolutely nothing left to fire
-Sniped a SM Sergeant out a squad with said plasma pistol
-Shaved half the wounds off a Riptide with his squad after executing a perfect grav chute drop
-Won me a game by climbing a building in a close match and taking the objective at the top, with only one other man left
-Ran up to an Aegis manned by Firewarriors, lost his entire squad to their fire between overwatch and shooting, passed his morale check, threw a demo charge at them, charged them and then routed them out off the objective.

But seriously, I pay for it by having sucktastic luck with my elite units I pay hundreds of points for. In the last game I used my DWK I lost a pair of them to a 60 point scout sniper rifle squad in a single round of overwatch.

My Nob bikers are my most valuable distraction.

the true MVP is the horde of boyz that gets ignored because they "will be chump change once the bikes are gone"

Although, i do have a reputation for passing more FNP rolls in one shooting phase than most players will all game.
