My most hated has to be Canis Wolfborn (followed closely by the stupid Khorne blood robo-tank guy)

To me Canis is badly thought out, badly executed, and badly priced. The trifecta. I mean he can't even hold the reigns on his dumb wolf (who also has a derp face) because his giant lightning claws will puncture the wolf's head if he does.

It's like something a 5 year old thought up.

I'd say the original sculpt for the LOTR Arwen model on foot was Awful! I'm quite glad they re did her.

Also the Space Marine Sgt. from the 5th edition starter box. Did a lot of parts swopping and it still looked awful.

A headswap goes a long way to improving them
Spoiler:

Aye they look awesome , but my point still stand mainly because in the picture you have provided, said person has used greenstuff on the arms to make them look more natural than the jutted "shoulder first, elbow right at the back and the arm spouting at the front all hunched look at the one in the middle on his left claw arm for example:

The shoulder is the most leaned most forward first, then the shoulder is exaggerated right at the back but in a really bad out of proportion sort of way then the arm spouts forth like Cthulu just went to the toilet. and the other two guys just look like TFG's who have lost a game and flipped a table.

The only thing I like about the mutilators is that when I saw them in person, the bulk of the model look good, but that's it. imo the arms needed more armour shown.

Also after seeing the Centurions in person, I kinda like the model the only thing I would change is removing the shoulder pads because they look to heavy on the model (now im expecting a load of flakk now for actually liking the centurions).

Just picking one model is kinda hard, so i will list my top five ones that i think Gw really could have done so much better with.

1. Abaddon, as some one already mentioned it might have looked good back in its day but now it just looks silly and needs to be re-done.

2 Chaos Hellbrute, it just looks silly with it's like tiny head and the rest of it looks weird as well. why does Sm get better looking dreads while Csm gets the joke that is Hellbrute?.

3. Morathi. For a character that is according to fluff is supposed to be very beautiful, they did a horrible job on the model it self that dosen't even show any beauty in it at all.

4. Obliterators. Well i think most other people here has covered it pretty well why theses models looks well just bad to say the least.

5. Sisters of Averlon. this one is more on the list for a personal reason that anything, i loved the old sculpts that Gw had for the maiden guards and now they just well F**** them up so badly. I mean Gw could have done so much better on this while sticking to original sculpts abit.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his need

It is not a pretty model. But at least it's better than Huron Blackheart. I noticed a pattern of everyone painting Huron Blackheart did an absolutely atrocious job of it. Till I realized it's the model itself that's atrocious.

So my top 5 would be (not in order):
Dialogus
Huron Blackheart
The Vampire Counts Zombies
Ravenwing Dark Talon
And as much as I hate bandwagoning... Nagash es no bueno.

Ouze you seem to have my taste in these things. Basically any model that makes it difficult to say "muuuum, they're not toys, they're miniatures!". It's a cliche, but some of the new kits make it hard to justify that I am not a grown man playing with action figures.

Can I add the centurions, and space marine flyers toy your list?

Now if we are talking ugliest then the blow up doll pictured above takes it.

BUT if we are talking about overall worst this is my vote. Now i dont mind the minature itself but jesus over 7 hours just to build and very fragile with pieces too small to pin. I havent even bothered to paint this metal monstrosity. Their are some 40 or so pieces. Whoever thought that was a good idea is a moron. WORST PART.......they dont give you any instructions AT ALL. Not even a picture on the box.

Although, I seem to remember that they were a disappointment even when they were released (I remember people complaining "they're just trying to get us to get the metal ones!", which of course were much better.. nothing changes.. ! )

To be fair, metal was far superior to plastic back then, simply because the plastic molding technology could in no way compete with the quality of metal casting (metal held detail better, could handle undercuts, allowed sharper edges etc) while plastic miniatures was still in it's infancy really, most of the stuff I remember in plastic from back then was just above toy quality to be honest (really high-end military models aside), if one thing could be said positive about GW, is that they really pushed forward plastic as a wargaming miniatures material...

My current hated model is that khornate chariot thing (the Blood Throne of Khorne, It's like someone took a lighter to a model of a dragster, Khorne is not all smooth sleek plates and miscellaneous fleshy bits in between, it's spikes and angles and mechanical monstrosities, and as for the skull cannon? well way to take an awesome concept and make it look really unimpressive. For something called 'the skull cannon of khorne' I was expecting something at least the size of the ogre kingdoms ironblaster...

The Emperor's Forge Mitten, Earth

In my experience, a few of the more unfavorable GW models look a lot better with a better paint job. For some reason, the heavy metal team really dropped the ball on a few of their showcase models. I remember some of the anger people had when the new plague bearers came out. I bought a few, painted them up in a more dark and gritty fashion and they looked great and eventually people came around once they realized they were actually really detailed and nurgly models. That's just one example though.

As far as older models go I can forgive GW to some extent. It's obvious they dearly need an update to bring them in line with current ranges, but these are old models from a different time when designs and taste were different from what they are now. Newer models that suffer from derpy designs have no excuse. The Blood Throne being one of them...

I really don't like the Centurions, there is nothing redeeming about them. It is a pity as I think the concept was solid.

Some of the later Inquisitor releases were pretty dire, very amateurish.

Mods, please let me know if you want this pic removed as it isn't a GW mini.

However, all the talk of Nagash, this is what I reckon he should have looked like.
