And it'll be SC2 all over again.
I won't say Blizzard has lost me as a customer, because I'm sure the Protoss portion of SC2 will get me, but beyond that I just don't know. Diablo 3 was a MASSIVE dissapointment. There ever present milking of WoW drives me further away. The lackluster Zerg expansion for SC2, after waiting several years for it, was pretty much that final nail.

It's actually gonna suck for Activision cause feel free to look at their studios and the games they make. There's Blizzard, Call of Duty, and... a bunch of random licensed stuff. Heaven have mercy when people stop buying anything with a Blizzard logo and a CoD title XD
I'm actually kind of surprised. All these years making all that money and they haven't really expanded their business beyond the material that put them where they are. Few new IP's, and what new IP's they make don't last long (Prototype).

Well the first prototype was okay, but they utterly trashed it with 2. It was so bad.

Yeah, but let's remember this is Activision we are discussing here. The company which effectively gutted one company(Infinity Ward) and then filled it with people from another company(Treyarch) to retain the company name and keep the playerbase relatively loyal.

Hey look another expansion for WoW.
New content? It's new to people who haven't played Warcraft 2, I guess.
Level cap increase? Yup to 100, but you can instantly level to 90.
PvP areas and Arena updates? Sure. It'll be just as pointless as the other seasons.
Awesome. They've got WORLDS of unexplored areas they could flesh out and they come up with THIS gak. Here's hoping the D3 expansion and Legacy of the Void is awesome but WoW is turning into a giant pile of kiddy bs.

TheCustomLime wrote:My subscription ran out a couple weeks back and being broke as of now I decided to take a short break to reinvigorate my interest in raiding.
Then this expansion showed up and I decided to quit. I don't know, it just seems a little.. odd to make an expansion during the Orc-Draenic war (Read: Genocide). If you ever played Burning Crusade you know how that went down. Just walk down that big road from the portal. Those bones you see? Those were made from the Draenei that were killed.
Why is Garrosh still the badguy, though? Why couldn't of it been a Burning Legion higher up or maybe the Infinite Dragonflight? Or maybe, I don't know, Queen Azshara? Seriously, there are bad guys more interesting that Brown Boy.
New lore is the Garrosh escaped with help from someone who can manipulate time. (Though we killed the leader of the Infinite Dragonflight during one of the dungeons in Cata)
So he goes back in time to Draenor and gets the Orcs to Not drink the blood of mannroth and makes the iron horde, Using that iron horde he will kill everything on draenor and then go after Azeroth Now the BIG god dam loophole in this plan is that the Orcs don't have the numbers to take out the Draenei that are on draenor.
Old lore:
Only reason the orcs beat the Draenei was because of the Demonic magic they used it to Grow child orcs into full grown adult rather quickly With this they had a large enough force (while they were still mentally childern they still preformed well on the battlefield)
Gul'dan used Captured draenei to Breed with his warriors to make Half-draenei/Orc warriors to create a stronger race of warriors for the orcs to remove the remaining draenei from draenor (See. Garona)
New Lore:
No demon blood, no locks, No super steroid child army
Garrosh is a Xenophobic person... so no half draenei
Soooo how does he plan to beat the draenei when lore wise Draenei Vindicators make short work orfc warriors and without the Demon magic his horde is weak compaired to them.(both physically and numerically)
So he brings back the Tech of cannons..... I'm sorry WTF? when the hell did a cannon become more powerful than a person who can flick their wrist and remove chunks of an army quickly.
Heck the only reason the draenei lost on draenor was the Orc Zerg rush across the land with numbers... which they no longer have.
This is exspansion is basically:
"Hello I'm Chris Metzen and I have a Hard on for Orcs, So this exspansion we're going to take orcs and shove them down your throat, I mean its not like the last 2 exspansions were about orcs. Mists was about Pandas not about Garrosh trying to kill everything not orc, and Cata? that was about Deathwing and not about shoving my most favorite character THRALL in your face 24/7."

I believe the Horde could've beaten the Draenei militarily. The Draenei have a weird system of fighting relying on elite units and scouts while the Horde had those plus a ton of line infantry. Sure, a Vindicator can probably paste 3 Orcs with one blow. But there are 10 behind those three plus their bigger allies. I think all the demonic blood did was spur them on to commit atrocities.
Also, since when has Warcraft not been about Metzen's love for the Orcs? Which has turned them from noble savages to "HURRR WE IZ MADE FOR FIGHTIN' AND WINNIN'". Weren't the Orcs supposed to be nomadic before?

Actually why would the Horde lose to the Draenei anyways? The horde always was bigger, stronger, and generally had a potent magic in shamanism even before converting all of them to warlocks. The only reason they didn't before was cause they weren't corrupted and wanting to murder everything.

Well, more importantly, the Orc tribes were never united on draenor before the whole demon blood thing.
Supposedly Garrosh manages to unite them all and then powers the armies with steel age tech instead of the gakky orc stuff.
What has me most confused is.. why the hell would they let Garrosh boss them around? I'm pretty sure everyone of those warlords could kick his arse to narnia, Ner'zhul and Gul'dan are in there for christ sake, he'd be lucky with just death.

The past expansion featured Panda people (who should really have stayed within the April fools joke that spawned them), I don't think that you could describe that as anything other than childish. Blizzard has become the GW of computer gaming. Shallow but crowd pleasing games aimed squarely at young teenagers who are being farmed for as much cash as they can shake loose.

Actually it's probably because he managed to rally them all, Gul'dan and his storm-reavers did become part of the fel pact, and they got kicked out by the rest of the horde.

At least I know she's got a unique name.
My main is sadly not unique, although thats my fault, the other one is mine as well, a RP what if reality where she didn't survive a battle with the Scourge because she didn't meet her levelling partner in that reality.

Yeah, it generally won't show up on the armoury if its been untouched for more than six months though, well, it won't list items etc. Think the name comes up on a search.
edit - ah yeah, I could see why you'd think that would be a distinct possibility, unless you have an authenticator in which case it'd probably be golden.

The only reason they beat the draenei was because of the number surge from Turning all of their childern into full grown adults with "fel" magic and with all of their shamans becomming Warlocks.
lets say the orcs reproduction period is similar to humans, so ~9 months with 6 weeks before you can get knocked up agian
you start with 1000 orcs 500 female 500 male paired off, now lets say all the females are knocked up and give birth to an even split of 250 males and 250 females now you use magic turn those babies into full grown adults
so after the 6 week wait
750male 750 female agian with equal split and that all of their get pregnant. they produce 375 males and 375 females, magic to full grown adults
after 6 weeks, 1125 males 1125 females. they make 1125 more
So after ~31 months they went from 1000 orcs to over 3k (so basically you can Multiply the size of your army by 3x in a couple years, (granted thats with a 100% chance that the male impregnates a female but with magic.. high chance of that happening)
without that you have 1000 orcs under your command.
with no demon help the original horde wasn't that strong.
Also BC and Wrath were not HURR I LOVE THRALL/GARROSH exspansions
ZebioLizard2 wrote:

Physically a Draenei is stronger than an orc, however a Bloodlust orc is as strong as a Draenei. Because of the text of Wrath of the lichking (which was only a few months to a year after the exodar crashes) the draenei offered two Brigades from outlands to help the alliance troops in northrend, a Brigade has 3k-5k men so they draenei offered them 6k-10k troops, this was a small portion of the draenei military which is mainly deployed to Outland to protect it. during their time on draenor the number of draenei vs the number of orcs was probably the same, everything changed when the fire nation attacked... when they turned all of their children into adults and caused the power balance to skew towards the orcs
While shamanism magic is strong, Lore wise it is weak VS Arcane magic,
With no Demon blood and warlocks, The "Iron horde" lacks the numbers to take on the draenei, and it lacks the Fel magic firepower.
The Only thing that will make this exspanion great is If during the FINAL raid it skips through time and after you kill the "Main bad guy" You hear

This is why I wont give them a dime of my money ever again. My old account was hacked, then I fixed it, then hacked again big time, and had to call Blizzard, it was fixed. Then hacked again. So I bought an authenticator AND changed my passwords to passwords that were so complex I had to write them down just to remember them....alongside the authenticator. Hacked again. Called. Fixed. Ran several programs that searched for keyloggers and anitvirals and you name it. Nothing. OK. Hacked.........fixed.....reinstalled (only thing I could think of *shrugs*)
Guess what happened a week later? You guessed it. Hacked. Even after ALL that, they still pretended to not have a CLUE how someone is hacking my account. So I politely told them to frack off, and never gave them a glance again.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Nothing. OK. Hacked.........fixed.....reinstalled (only thing I could think of *shrugs*) Guess what happened a week later? You guessed it. Hacked. Even after ALL that, they still pretended to not have a CLUE how someone is hacking my account. So I politely told them to frack off, and never gave them a glance again. Seems like you did everything right there. Can't say I could be arsed anymore if I got hacked after getting an authenticator. Kind of makes me think that blizzard's system's been compromised somehow.
