Also..

The estimation doesn't hold the Fortifications I have. I can't estimate them off hand as I can't remember their points value.
Also 2 "super heavies" being a giant war zeppelin (not completed, unscheduled) and an Atomic Cannon. Both of which have custom rules and points. But I don't include them since they are never allowed to play.

Ill hold this space here *waves hands* for the full army pic, Ill go set up the troops and take one.. I need a new one. As for why I have so much.

I like building the tanks and such. Its like the next level of LEGOs, lets my imagination run wild and then I can use them in game. Its a lot of fun to me.

I started in 2004. I started with Tau and they have always been my main force. My collection now includes Tau, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Space Marines (and therefore the ability to play many chapters), Chaos Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Grey Knights, and Sisters of Battle. I also own Skaven, Brettonians, Vampire Counts and a massive Lizardman force.

My 40K collection easily spans 30,000 points

We generally play 2K games. Tournies tend to be 1850 or 1999.

Currently, I have taken to playing Night Lords, because it is a melee oriented list and I wanted to set out to prove it could be done in 6E. I have proven it.

Thank you. It is pretty large. An Electrician came over today to work on my house and couldn't beleive what he was looking at. Probably spent more time explaining it to him than he spent working.

I was fortunate on numerous fronts in my collection. I won a lot of tournies which has allowed me to afford the more expensive components. 10 Christmas's and birthdays later, as well as a lot of fortunate trades contributed also. EBay did a lot of biz with me there for a while as well. I can guarantee that my collection is worth far more than I paid for it originally, even used as it is now!

I overspent at times to be sure but my wife, even though she has never played, kind of lets me do my thing and she likes how happy gaming makes me (I REALLY do enjoy this hobby a lot). It helps that I have done well financially and could afford to splurge at times, but that has changed. My business soaks a ton of my money and has for a while, so my spending has slowed down. Current prices have made me prefer trades. I've done some out of this world good trades the last couple years. Got an entire Dark Eldar army to go with my Dark Eldar army for example (so now its REAL big) using stuff that I still had NIB from this or that event. Worked out well.

My trouble now is just finding the time to explore all the options available to me in this crazy grimdark! I love playing and I experiment a lot. This Night Lord list for example has taken me just about 20 games to kind of snip and parse. It's SUPER close to how it will be in its final form and then i will grab another force off the shelf and start all over again. I love figuring it out like a puzzle.

truly you should upload some pics of the entire collection as im sure it would bring a tear yo my eye from the sheer amazement. No doubt the sting of disbelief would cause the tear of course. Do you play Armageddon games or stick to smaller battles and just collect like mad??

I play 2K games as i mentioned in the previous post. I have only been involved in three or four apocalypse games and none of them were any fun. So I just stick to conventional games.

There actually IS a picof one of the armies on my Facebook page. It shows my Tau Shelf and the eldar one can kind of be seen above it. If you zoom in its pretty cool. Might have to enlarge the screen to view it well. Pause it to get it to "Still"

Eldar I guess 6-7000 points worth.
About 70% painted. I can field large Biel-Tan or Iyanden style lists. You'll notice I don't own a single jetbike or character on jetbike. The models blow and I don't buy 3rd party (not condemning it just not my style).

I'm probably barely above 500pts

Two SM Captains, a handful of Sternguard, a squad of five "Veteran" Sniper Scouts, and twenty Combat Scouts.

A Command team of sorts for IG.

And a WIP Artscale Tzeentch character, and a WIP Khorne Lord for Chaos Marines

I don't have a lot of disposable income, so thats all I can maintain for now :(

4 years. started with 1 little tank. Found how I could build them any way I wanted (within a few tiny limits) and then use them in a game and just kept collecting. I cut corners and get as much as I can not from GW for cheaper. Like several of the Super heavies (a Baneblade being over $100.) are actually $60 1/35th scale German Super Heavy tanks that can about the same size as a baneblade with a few modifications. Same with many of my tanks!

My armies are in my sig and are sort of up to date. About 13,000 points WYSIWYG. No idea what the points would be with non-visible options.

Necrons:
Spoiler:
Overlord, Vargard, Nemesor, Destroyer Lord, Necron Lord (x2). 40 warriors, 11 Gauss Immortals, 10x Tesla Immortals, 3 wraiths, 13 scarabs, 5 dual-role destroyers, Nightbringer, 10 Deathmarks, 10 Lychguard, 10 Praetorians, Triarch Stalker, Spyder, Monolith, 2x Tomb Stalkers. Yet to be painted: 2x Night Sycthes, Night Shroud, Tesseract Ark, Barge, Ark, 3 Wraiths, 3 Spyders, some other stuff.

Orks:
Spoiler:
Warboss, Shokk Attack Gun, 40 or so Boyz, 30 or so Grots, 3x Mekboys, 15x Burnas, 15 Lootas, 6 Nob Bikers, 1 Biker Boss, Kill Bursta, 6x Deffkoptas, 5x Grot Tanks, 5x Tanksbustas & Squigs, Grot Mega-Tank, Mega Dread, Kustom Battle Fortress, 6x Mega Armor Nobs, 10 or so Nobs, Trukk, Battlewagon, 2x Deff Dreads, 6x Kans. Yet to be painted: A Stompa is halfway painted, and then there are some Kommandos, a Trukk, 3 Nob Bikers, 5x Stormboyz, Weirdboy, a buggy, some other minor stuff. Lots of halfway built Grot tanks and a walker.

Space Marines:
Spoiler:
I don't even like Marines very much, but they were my first army, and my friends who don't collect 40K use them when we play. So, despite being my least-favorite army they are pretty large, mostly because I find the Blood Raven color scheme easy to paint. Still, I'm kind of embarrassed by having Space Marines.

Terminator Captain, Terminator Librarian, foot Librarian, Terminator Chaplain, jump Chaplain, foot chaplain (not yet photographed), 5 Scout Snipers, 10 snipers with magnetized loadouts. 20 Tactical marines. Land Speeder with magnetized options. 5 jump marines. 3 dreadnoughts with many, many arm swaps, one usually Ironclad. 10 ranged Terminators, 5 claw Terminators, 5 TH/SS Terminators, all magnetized. Devastator squad. Original metal Thunderfire Cannon and attendant Techmarine. Predator with magnetized weapons, 2 Rhinos, a Drop Pod, and a Sicaran. Yet to be painted: quite a bit. 2 Rhinos with magnetized options to be Razorbacks, 3 Land Raiders with options for LRC or LRR, Stormraven with CHS extension, a Mother fething Thunderhawk that's primed but unpainted. A bunch of characters that are in various states of painting (at least 3 more librarians for some reason, a Boarding marine, and some converted Sternguard) A few more jump marines. A Chaplain Dread. Some other stuff. A Lucius Warhound that's still in the box.

Chaos Marines:
Look at my article, I abandoned these guys pretty hard when the 6th edition models came out and sucked. I also have Traitor Guard that go with them that are similarly in I-don't-care status.

White Hat: Very first WH40k model I ever painted; Imperial Guard company commander, back uniform, stark white hat. Had a long rivalry with another guard player with a black-hatted Guard commander. Sold all the cadians he once commanded, but kept him for sentimental reasons.

Death Korps are my current project, don't intend on any more 40k for a long while, GW's really getting on my nerves, but I still enjoy playing, and will likely improve my Blood Ravens paintjob once I finish the Death Korps instead of starting something new or expanding an army.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

So far some pretty amazing stuff in this thread. I'm hoping to photograph my existing non painted models just to remind myself what's waiting to be painted

Keep them coming in everyone it's great knowing what everyone owns in detail. Gives me ideas on what I need try and grab next

Orks! Orks Everywhere!

Well not that many Orks! Me and my buddies mostly play Kill Team and 500pt battles ATM as we all got back into 40k recently.

In the last couple Months i've started my Waaaaagh! and have about 1100 pts. After 22 years of playing Warhammer on and off, you'd think I could have held on to some of my many models.

But I bet I have one of the largest Man o' War collections left! Who needs Battlefleet Gothica!? PFfffft.

Talking of points when playing Armageddon can you bring in limitless armies as long as opponents have the equivalent to match or is there a limit?

I have 7,000 points of Eldar and pieces of what used to be my two Marine forces. I sold my Marines to get me some X-wing Minis built up and because I realized I approached Marines a bit half-arse, and want to do it right when I decide to do it.

My Eldar includes 3 Wave Serpents, 2 Fire Prisms, 1 Firestorm, 1 Falcon, 3 Vypers, 4 War Walkers, 2 Nightwing Interceptors and the infantry support. As I play Yme-Loc, the vehicles are what matter the most.

I also own 3 Apoc models. A Revenant, a Scorpion and a Lynx(painted to a much better standard than the rest of the army on commission, something that now frustrates me).

Farseer Faenyin
7,100 pts Yme-Loc Eldar(Apoc Included) / 5,700 pts (Non-Apoc)
Record for 6th Edition- Eldar: 25-4-2

X-wing(Focusing on Imperials): CR90, 6 TIE Fighters, 4 TIE Interceptors, TIE Bomber, TIE Advanced, 4 X-wings, 3 A-wings, 3 B-wings, Y-wing, Z-95

I got rid of a LOT of my stuff last year after making the decision to go foot Guard (and needing cash for other tabletop games I got into). I'm down to 2,000 pts (literally EXACTLY 2k) of Imperial Guard after getting rid of 3 Vendettas, 4 Hydras, 8 Chimeras, 3 Demolishers, and a Hellhound.

It seems that everyone in here seems to have some hardcore point numbers. I keep hearing numbers over that 10k mark and the truth is it's making me jeaoulous. I have added my space hulk 3rd edition BA terminators to my collections and that's boosted me to 4200 points but I'm lacking vehicle support. I only have a storm raven, a land speeder and a standard washing machine dread.

I was thinking land raider next what do you al think? Is there anything better?

Just quickly if I was to get my hands on a cheap thunderhawk with complimentary land raider how many points would it be worth give or take?
