For those interested in he-man, they actually did a remake (another one i think, not the blue jeans wearing he-man series) of the cartoon (about a decade ago, i think). It wasn't too bad (for a kids show with references for the viewers of the original), although sadly got canceled before they made it to hordak (they finished the snakeman arc iirc).
No need to worry about the movie ruining the series, it can't be any worse than the dolph lundgren movie that' came out.
