Unfortunately the rules won't let you stack Boyz on top of each other, so the biggest number you can have is probably in the hundreds, depending on the board size. A shame.

Play 2nd Edition, when the Ork transport rules allowed you to put as many Boyz in the transport as you could physically pile on. But, if any fell off during movement, they took a hit of the appropriate strength value.

I remember someone claiming you could tape a KFC bucket to the vehicle and allow you to transport your entire army inside.

You can never get enough boyz, that's obvious.

But I would just like to come with a friendly reminder to my green-skinned buddies:

No matter how many boyz you bring, I'll bring twice as many renegades....

...And I respawn on a 2+

I want to get enough to play a 25000 point game so that I can field 3872 orks. I got the idea from the munchin card 3872 Orcs. I would have to take 11 green tides to do it though. Each with 300 boys and nobs and power klaws. Then fill any extra points with something else like mek guns. Still that's the goal 3,872 orks.

My Armies:
Orks about 15000-16000 mostly unpainted but slowly being worked on
Militarum Tempestus about 2000 points just built
Inquisition about 2000 points unpainted
Officio Assassinorum 570 unpainted
I dont paint quickly

I think if you cannot fit models on the table, and did not want to put them in reserves you might have reached the point where you have enough boyz

There was a thread not long ago asking about the size of deployment zones. Math was done:

This should give you a baseline for how many boyz you should aim for.

Also consider:
Reserves, for when boyz move forward. Better yet, outflanking a/o deepstiking boyz, as they don’t have to wait for the other guys to get out of the way.

Transports: I’m not sure about the capacity of transports vs. the space of footslogging.

Spacing: While we can assume a 1” base, some boyz are waving choppas around, or otherwise make it hard to pack them in as tight as they should be. Extravagant boys should be put on the perimeter.

Terrain: While most things on the table will take up valuable space that could be filled with more boys, all is not lost. Buildings and multi-level ruins can help!

Assuming a box of boyz is 9inx2inx6" the average American warehouse has a storage space of 25,000 square feet which if used in it's entirety of nothing but boxes of boyz would contain 69,444,444 whole boxes of boyz each box has 10 boyz so that would be 694,444,440 boyz. I'm sure this is around all the Ork Boys ever made by GW (more than likely much higher by more than double) so lets just guess around half as much so we are looking to closer to about 347,222,220 boyz.

I think we are getting "close" to enough at this point.

It's easy to assume that people arguing an interpretation you disagree with are just looking for an advantage for themselves... But it's quite often not the case.

You've got enough boyz when you can survive, corner and catch the scatter bikes. Which of course means, you cannot have enough.
