Maskol: my thoughts.
I would give Maskol a 7-8/10.
I would give my application of said Maskol a 6-7/10
I have learnt the following.
1) the thicker that you can apply the Maskol the better.
2) the more paper pull tabs you can seal in the better.
3) if you have intricate details in your masked area, ensure you have a pull tab that pulls towards them to pull the Maskol out of the detail, otherwise you have to use a cocktail stick.
4) pulling the Maskol off is messy, the paint flake of the mask as you remove it. It gets everywhere.
5) ensure that you haven't missed a bit with your spaying before you remove your Maskol otherwise you will have to reapply it to touch up the spray.
6) repeat stage 5 and triple check.

I'd always thought about splurging out and getting a titan, seeing how you're assembling it does help me move closer to purchasing one.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Looking at your galleries you have far more painting and modelling experience than my 8 months back in the game so I'm sure you'll be fine!
The key I have found is not to rush and really take your time and plan everything out that you are going to do and how you will do it.
Been doing a bit more spraying, I undercoated the whole of the body in one go by holding the body with a metal bar on the waist magnet allowing me to get it even all over. I've also been handing parts by the magnets on washers and string where I need to get even all over coverage in one go.
I've also started getting some base colours down on the main panels. Used a white under coat under the yellow which has made the yellow a lot more vibrant.
The contrast between the blue and yellow is quite pleasing so far.
Going to get the rest of the yellow done next and then mask it up and touch up the gun metal base coat.
Contemplating some blue / yellow stripes on the right hand side rear 'shoulder' panel.

So yesterday I finally sat down and measured and cut to length all the pistons and hydraulic cylinders for the legs/feet.
There are far too many.
I wanted to spray them to get a matching and even colour to the legs.
I came up with the following:
After a base coat of primer, they have had a coat of platemail metal for the pistons which when dry will be masked off and then a coat of Gun metal for the hydraulic cylinders and mounts etc.
NOTE:
I'm glad I took this photo before spraying as obviously the numbering system for which piston is which is now obscured!

That's a good pile of pistons you got yourself there mate
Also very nice contrast on the blue and yellow.
Don't worry about the masking part. You just need practice and multiple layers. Also, the pulling pads might do more worse than good. Have you tried pulling of the rubver with a super fine pair of tweezers? That's what i do, amd works perfectly every time

So I've done a bit more spraying,
The general base coat is down on the head, carapace and body etc.
I demo'd some stripes on the body as well, I think I like the width and alignment, however the masking was a bit poor so they will need a tidy up or redo if I have the time.
I also masked the plate mail pistons and got a couple if coats of gun metal on the hydraulic cylinders.
The wine in the background may have something to do with the poor masking of the stripes...

Stripes are looking good so far. Yellow and blue work really well together, incidentally they're also the colour I picked for my Sisters of Battle, so I approve heartily!

I feel that the blue/yellow stripes look a tad bit wrong, It might be that I expected to see black and yellow stripes though.

So got the rest of the base colour spraying done and the masking off. Finally was able to put it together quickly to check I was happy with the colour scheme (though it's a bit late now if not!).
Just need to do a bit of tidying up with the brush and then it's on to shade and detail. And the guns, I still need to paint the guns.
I have given myself a deadline of the end of September as I need to move rapidly on to the FW Realm of Battle and DA Lions Blade Demi Company which I need to get painted for jan/feb next year...

Looks amazing mate! Absolutely great blue and yellow, the contrast works good.
Though i'd say, don't bother with a deadline. This is a true monster, and after all the time&work you've put into it, it'd be a shame to rush it and skip things or do mistakes
That said, what colour do you plan the eye lenses?
Keep it up!

Holy thread revival Batman!
While some but not much progress has been made on the Warhound (it got table ready and I got side tracked with my DA), other projects have progressed including a FW realm of battle board (which I'll post separately) and currently a Legio Astorum Mechanicum Knight Army that will eventually total 8 knight however only the first four are in progress. I thought I'd add a little teaser and start a WIP thread if there is sufficient interest.

Always did like the Warhound Titan - it has a lot of character for what is essentially a human-controlled mecha.
Your methodical approach is to be applauded - you obviously put a great deal of thought into the construction and execution of your scheme. Looking at all of the work that has been put into painting so far, I can imagine there might be no small amount of trepidation when it comes to applying the weathering powders you want to try!
Very much looking forward to seeing this completed.

Part of the rationale (how I rationalised them to myself) of buying the knights was a smaller scale (and less expensive) tester for how I'm going to tackle the shade and highlights for the Warhound.
That sounds sensible right!?!
Just need to come up with some fluff for my Legio Astorum Aligned Mechanicum Knight Army.

It's been awhile...
The Legio have not been languishing completely unloved. Got a good outing at the apocalypse earlier this year where they made a reasonable account of themselves. Their ranks haven't grown until now with the release of the Knight Armigers. I really welcomed thes as I thought the big knights needed some smaller support. Though I was slightly disappointed that there wasn't a faster attcking knight unit.
I had a vision of a sort of Knight Light Cavalry unit with a lance weapon. So I'm in the process of converting a Warglaive to suit my vision.
Very much WIP:
