What I'm interested in is whether GW will mention members of the 13th that aren't Wulfen.

And conversely, whether there will be special rules that allow me to use the new Wulfen as part of another great company. I know I'll undoubtedly be able to take a whole unit, but this makes no sense from a fluff perspective; what I want is an option to take the odd one or two in a squad of Grey Hunters, similar to the old Mark of the Wulfen rules. I just can't see how your average great company would allow whole squads of them to be running around.

I hate the new models, by the way, like I've hated almost every new Space Wolf release recently. I'd do my best to get hold of some of the old Wulfen models.

What I want to know is when we are going to see a break from this seemingly never ending tide of new stuff for flavour of space marine X and Space Elf/Commie and see an update for the armies which desperately need it such as the Imperial Guard, Chaos Marines, Sisters of Battle, Dark Eldar, Orks, etc......

Didn't Guard literally just get a load of relics and new formations?

Guard got a formation and some relics but are still using a 6th edition codex. And it's not really optimized for 7th edition since there's still a crapton of interactions that doesn't work (hot button topic right now is whether or not you can take Commissars, Sanctioned Psykers and Priests in formations).

That and they really shouldn't need to buy 2 books to use their army in 7.5 edition. Space Marines and Tau at least can get away with it cuz they have their own core formations and decurions in their book, the ones in Damocles just adds some extra flavour.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

Back when the 13th company rules came out I had a TON of unmade marines and a bunch of junk genestealer bits from a trade. So.... I ended up using the Wulfen rules to represent a marine force that was lost to a Genestealer infestation. All of the "wulfen" were Marine/Genestealer hybrids. I'm glad I no longer have to use them as bloodclaws.

I like everything about the new models above the waist. I really dislike the feet and hope that a good armored alternative is available. I actually like the bare arms and dont mind the heads. The weapon options all look pretty good and I love the axes.

The rules don't set them into the auto include territory which is a good thing. I think they will be a strong unit that will have its place in some army builds and be a strong component.

See pics of my Orks, Tau, Emperor's Children, Necrons, Space Wolves, and Dark Eldar here:

More like heralds the coming of the rule of imperium again. Now all they need is to boost guard.

And the real meelee armies are still garbage water.

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

This is serious shark-jumping, even for GW.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Interested to see some new Daemons or maybe formations.

As to the Wulfen, they're great, I just hate that they make other armies (Orks) cry tears of jealousy.

God those rules and weapons are absolutly horrendous.

I hope that the campaign ends with the Inquisition and High Lords of Terra Branding SW as Deviant Mutants and banish them, then they will have no choice but to flee, whorship Khorne and be renamed Blood Wolves...*sigh* delirous dreams are delirous...

I know a guy who runs Khorne's army as space wolves. Use Juggernaughts as Thunderwolves, hounds as fenris wolves and so on. Now, he finally has reason to use those ridiculously weak Possessed. Btw, he's one of the last two Chaos Marine player in our group.

With only two or three of those formations being even remotely useful and mst of the relics being fancy pieces of overpriced junk, no we did not get anything major enough to warrant being overlooked in favour of the latest flavour of power armoured mary sue.
