ever thought about doing a junction piece between the epic canals & the 28mm ones? Sorta like an open culvert draining into the main canal.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Thanks Panic for posting your detailed pics: Helps everyone see how the 40k canal goes together.

The epic version is much simpler (due to the smaller size and lower cost) - The pavements join on to the side of the fluorescent plastic rather than sitting on top and locking in place.

However, it would be very doable to have:

T-Junction and X-roads for the 40k canal
40k to Epic converter piece that looks like a drain off of some sort.

UPDATE: The T-Junction and Cross Road for the Canal are done and will be proto-typed tomorrow. If all goes well they should go on sale on Monday.

Oh! as for the annoying bits of plastic cover you had to peel off: I remove them before shipping so you don't have to

The 40k bridges are available now:

Edit: While we will continue to sell some sets on Ebay (User ID: HoneyBeeWorksUK) all our range is available at: http://www.honeybeeworks.co.uk

Well bloody hell I am impressed!!!
4 days after saying I would like something that's not even been designed yet; it pops though my letterbox!

Amazing!

My only regret is my painting table has a proper long queue of projects...
I will have to make time!

Glad you like it Panic

I was thinking about the canals and had some ideas:

Some sort of treatment tanks? You know those round tanks with the blades that go round you see at sewage treatment plants....like the below.

or some sort of pumping station that would span the canal? Again, like below...

Thoughts anyone?

yeah.
Sounds good!

Do you think you could design a insert for the G&G board?
The green area top right. it's meant to be a car park or filled with static grass.

But I think something that works with the canals could be great.

or something that goes ontop like the treatment tanks!

By request I've made a version of the Epic starter road that has notches for 3mm x 1mm magnets. This allows the road sections to be firmly linked together. (We do not supply the magnets - they are available very cheaply on ebay).

Same price £8 (about $12) for the starter kit and available now on our website:

New. Completed the 28mm scale waste tank for the Canal System.

Imperial Waste Treatment strongly denies any link between it's waste tanks and mutations.

yeah,
Looks great, it's an excellent design

I'd suggest one change and thats that the walkway and platform are not attached..
That way it can be optionally placed on the tank, in various places or left off.

Not a fan of the imperial waste logo either as it kinda ties the tank to 40k.

Panic...

Thanks Panic,

On the walkway and platform going in to the fluorescent; Yeah i considered that. I went through 2 prior prototypes where the holes just were too tight as i wasn't engineering in enough tolerance. I have got it right now but may change the design to do away with the sides going in to the fluorescent.

On the Imperial Waste logo - big sad face :( that took the bulk of the time! I dont really agree it ties it to 40k. Imperial is a fairly common term (especially for us brits! Imperial Leather isn't the soap of 40k ) and the winged bio-hazard : sure the wings envoke in us a certain 40k-ness (that was the idea) but there are also plenty of real logos and emblems very similar in RL that have wings like that.

If you want an order where the walkway/platform are not joined to the fluorescent, and with the imperial waste logos removed - let me know and i will do you some specials. It's easy to remove them from the cuts.

Canals will be fine they'll just be narrower both scales are usable with both. Roads would be more problematic and my guess is the buildings won't work well. Equally I've not seen them and I'm going by website photographs

You might want to photograph them on another surface, I find the wood table makes it hard to see the green 'slime' canal.

Absolutely methebest....in fact i have an outstanding action for panic to post some pictures of some alternative materials/colours for the canal.

He is looking for ice...and i have found a frosted sort of clear/green/glass colour which should work well.

Also got a clear brown that will be a more dirty but not toxic colour.

There are some options around a clear water/light blue too....will post them tonight.

Kid_kyoto - noted...i will try to find a better colour/surface. I was photographing them on white which didnt seem great either....will experiment.
