So close to finishing the hull!
I've left the colour in this photo to help show how much putty I've gone through
Also, What are your opinions on the sand bag in front of the driver's window? I really like how it looks on other models, not sure if I should keep it on this one. Let me know!


+++ 2. Terrain +++

My group has really picked up playing all sorts of Games workshop games recent. Only problem is that we were charging our minis across unpainted MDF boards. no fun at all.
Here is a little show of how I've made some generic hills.

Crushed Pepsi cans and Styrofoam made the form of the hills, paper mache held it all together and a sprinkle of plaster of paris gave it texture. I then airbrushed some colours on until the airbrush's onboard thermostat tripped! Followed up with some green and purple washes.

I've got a feeling that this section is going to be messy, but I've taken a few photos of some practice games that I've been playing recently.

Here was a 750TG 'Scavengers' game between Hunting Rig Nobilites and an Ork Klan.
The Yeld managed to Out-of-Action the Ork Nob first turn with a volley from his laser gauntlet




Here is another battleground, scavengers game mode. I let my opponent use Astartes because they wanted to use the few models they actually owned... hooly dooly!! No wonder Astartes arent meant to be PCs! They rolled my Spyrers something proper.

A true-scale Red Scorpions apothecary and a young Nobilite accompanied by his refractor field servo-skull.
Had great fun converting these guys! This was my first attempt at magnetising minis, i may have gotten a little carried away

Awesome looking minis, the servo shield is a brilliant Idea and will definitely look the part alongside the nobilite !

@KernalTerror Cheers! Funny thing is, playing the servo skull like a physical shield in an INQ game makes it more like a meat shield than a shield generator haha!

+++ Planetary Governor +++
Finally got around to painting a Baron of Sepheris Secundus, Finally!
Deployed in his Sepherii Pattern Terminator Armour bolstered by sigillary wards. This powerful psyker provides support to the forces of the Imperium assisting the fight against the daemonic incursion that has befallen upon his home planet.
The wrist is magnetised to allow swapping of off-hand weapons.

+++ Screamers of Tzeentch +++

I had a hankering to convert tonight!
Semi-dry-fitted some screamers of Tzeentch. Once I'm happy with the pose i'll reinforce them with putty and start chaos-ifying them
I really couldn't be bothered waiting for flying bases to arrive so I smashed up an old pin-up board and made those rocky bases.
Any suggestions? I will be using clear plastic to make insect wings, but that'll happen sometime down the track.

Awesome concept for the screamers, where are the 'wings' from?

Splitting the cobra's bodies is a really smart move, nice concept !

+++ Spyrer Gang +++

90% built Spyrer Gang, still need to Milliput some seams etc but the models are mostly composed
Taking a saw blade to these minis (that are probably older than myself) was a little daunting but I think they've turned out alright!
The two models on the larger bases are my own imagining of the Spyrer Matriarch and Patriarch.

Finished construction and have begun painting!
Lil boy blue was inspired by the old WW2 bomber planes with pin-up girls painted on the side.
The name itself has a connection to the colour of the vehicle but also to the crew's beliefs about never disregarding duties to the Emperor. Always be alert, always be ready... or something fluffy like that

My cousin recently gifted me his ~2000 point 3rd Edition Eldar army. I've stripped the lot of it!

+++ Ordo Chronos +++
Yeah, I know... too many projects! I couldn't resist starting an Ordo Chronos warband though.
I've tried to include as many time keeping instruments as I can so far. I plan to add more!
Note the cuckoo clock mounted on one of the acolytes chest, and the fistful of hourglasses held by the big guy.
All of the weapons in this picture are magnetised for maximum barbie dolling.

I imagine this warband utilising many assassins, employed to ensure certain critical events do or do not occur.

From my cousins donated army, a 3rd edition Wraithlord, I've converted it into a Wraithseer. This bad boy is mostly metal and weighs a whopping 130 grams!!!
Needless to say I'm terrified of transporting this fellow around :s

Magnificent warband that Ordo Chronos, and cool concept too. So butterflying was totally worth it ! You could have a skull instead of a bird coming out of the cuckoo clock...
