After a long, long time I finally finished the Panther tank, Electrocutter version. I missed several crucial parts and now they finally arrived.
Its hull is the same as other tanks have, I have only modified the engine to free up some room for the electric generator which powers the weapon.
Speaking of the weapon, it's equipped Ostrakan pattern Electrolaser array, consisting out of two coils, guiding lasers and a lot of capacitors, which uses high power lasers to ionize the air to create a conductive channel and then high-voltage electric discharge towards the enemy, outright killing it or causing severe, crippling burns or equipment damage.

Enough of talking, I belive you are eager to see it.







Pity you didn't see this thing do its job at night. It's an astonishing display of raw electric power.

After a long time, I'm back with more things to do. Today it's a special project for the local Ecclesiarchy order, namely the Order of the Silver Hand.
When on recon mission out in the subsector border, the Sisters found an abandoned and damaged Rhino APC, bearing the insignia of the Dark Angels chapter. Dark Angel marines were soon found nearby, along with dozens of rotting corpses of the Dark Eldar. All of them were dead and considering the state of decay, this must have happened about a week or two ago.
The Rhino APC was recovered and brought back in order to be repaired and reclaimed by the Order. Those Marines won't need it anyway and their Strike Cruiser left soon after, as later was found out in the naval traffic logs, so, returning it back to the chapter would be rather difficult. And because the Sisters don't have a transport vehicle on their own, they decided to keep it. And I was the one who has to repair it.

After many days of work on the Rhino, an Order representative visited me with a very unusual request. She wanted me to modify the Rhino to be able to fulfill other roles than carrying a squad. She showed me poorly drawn pictures of other commonly used variants of the Rhino, namely the Immolator version, Exorcist version and also the Repressor version, along with one I never saw before. It was a short pict-recording displaying an Astartes rhino somewhere on the battlefield that has extensive utility frame attached to it along with a vast amount of additional armor plating all over its hull. And they wanted this particular rhino to fulfill all these roles along with having the framework and armor plating added. This was easier said than done, but I guess we managed it. It's very rugged on the inside, but it will work. Passenger seats are simple to fold and put aside and the rails in the floor allow to hold the turret mechanism and large ammunition magazines or fuel source. The crew should be able to modify the vehicle by themselves, only with help of a crane. Every Guard regiment should have several of those and in dire need, some larger car repair shop or warehouse would suffice.

It is still under construction, but we are getting closer and closer every day.
So far, only the Immolator with Heavy Bolters is done. Next thing on a schedule are the flamethrowers and possibly even the Multi-meltas, but I'm skeptical about those. The Repressor shouldn't be too hard to build. The Exorcist would be a tougher nut to crack, but deep in the archives, I found an ancient system called "BM 13-16". It was a bit difficult to learn all the details because the documents were written in some very strange letters, but what kind of a tech-priest I would be if I didn't find a solution in form of a transcript servitor. It turned out that it offers a very interesting solution to a mobile rocket launcher platform. Sorry, my dear sisters, you'll get a different kind of organ.

Hello again. Today I decided to share some news from my workshop. I'm sure many of you remember the odd Sentinel thing piloted by Sgt. Hellborn. Well, I decided to make him a friend. The chassis is almost identical, the only difference is its weapon. Instead of handheld autocannon, I made a multilaser. Gatling multilaser to be more precise. Why gatling? Well, it's simple. Cooling. The immense rate of fire of the multilaser heats up the barrel very fast and because Sentinel lacks the internal cooling systems of the Chimera and like, It has to be cooled externally, by air. Three rotating barrels provide sufficient airflow to cool down the barrels. It also allows increasing the rate of fire by 30% without risk of damaging the weapon itself or its systems...

It's not finished, though. It needs minor tweaking and a neat paint job. Also, the pilot, Cpl. Silvia Loren, also known as the "Laser Lady" is still on her training course.

I've now read through your whole blog- excellent work all around! I particularly like that you've added counter-weights to the weapons arms of your Sentinels- very realistic and, as you described, how the real thing would work in reality. And the idea of adding a chain sword as a bayonet on an autocannon- brilliant! Someone's going to see that and use the idea for an Ogryn, one of these days.


The sniper is my favorite of your figure conversions- although all of them are top notch.

The Tesla Tank is too cool- Nicola would be proud!

It's not that long ago the ministry of defense ordered a new weapon to equip the new heavy shock troops that are currently being trained. It has to be extremely rugged to withstand brutal handling, very easy to maintain, very easy to operate and, what is most important, cheap to produce.

I take my inspiration in already existing Tundra 29 shotgun and decided to build from there. The very basic mechanisms remained the same, only the fire-selector was removed, leaving the weapon locked to fully automatic fire. Safety mechanism was, of course, unchanged. I named it Tundra 32 HAS, where HAS stands for Heavy Assault Shotgun. It uses larger caliber shells than the Tundra 29 design, usually firing fragmentation rounds with a solid penetrator core. The weapon frame is also more robust and it comes with a folding blade permanently attached to the weapon.

Here you can see a few of the recruits equipped with this weapon. Initial field testing showed interesting results as a 5-member group of trainees mowed down 2 out of 3 heretic Astartes on bikes and then mauled the third to death.

These Beastmen are not like their cousins that grew up in civilization where you can go to the store when you get hungry. These grew up in deep, unforgiving forests and jungles, which makes them very tough and resilient. Their style of life taught them to be fearless, determined and brutal. Excellent attributes for frontline assault operations.

The work is slowly piling up. I got an urgent order from the ministry of defense to build a prototype of their new design that is supposed to replace the basic, ubiquitous Chimera design. We all know that the Chimera is designed to be super-primitive, super easy to use and maintain and run on basically everything that burns, but this does come with draw-back. As everything has. Well, their historians, with help of the Dialogus section of the Ministorum dug up some millennia old articles written in language that seems to like to combine several words into one super-long word that is almost impossible to read and pronounce for a man not used to it. Historians claim it comes from then ancient Terra from times where one man with a tooth-brush-like mustache tried to conquer the world but eventually got defeated by a man with a broom-like mustache from one side and two men with no facial hair from the other side. Well, anyway, back to the vehicle. When compared to Chimera, it comes with less armor, thus lower weight, but when the application of sloped armor all over the vehicle and not just the front, the effective thickness is more or less comparable. The engine being located at the front offers additional protection against enemy fire from the front and its overall smaller profile makes the vehicle a bit harder to hit too. The half-track setup makes it a bit less maneuverable in cross-country when compared to a fully tracked vehicle, but it also makes driving the vehicle much easier. It's driven as a normal truck.

Here you can see it with autocannon turret installed. Additional configurations are to be built sometime in the future. Namely, the Hellhound (Flammwagen), Hydra (Flakwagen), Manticore (Raketenwerferwagen), Basilisk (Grossekanonwagen), Trojan (Pullwagen) and perhaps the Medusa (Bigbadaboomwagen) too.

Ooh. Nebelwurfer track for the Manticore?

Nice work. How does it compare to the standard chimeras size wise?

No, I'll try to use the original manticore launcher. Or maybe with slight modifications.

Thank you, sir. The half-track (1/48 scale) is the same length as Chimera. The width was a problem, I had to widen it, adding more than 1cm to each side. Now the model is about 15mm narrower than the Chimera. The height is about the same difference as the width.
40k models have weird length x width ratios...

I had to widen the basic Hanomag kit also for the Athena Command and Control Vehicle:

I have struggled with where to put the hull weapon. Putting it anywhere on the hull would make the model look ugly, so I came up with this solution. Easy and it looks good.

So, the Rihno for Sororitas is finished. At least the chassis. Weapon systems are still in the workshop being tested and adjusted. Interior is also complete and once weapons are ready, the vehicle will undergo extensive combat testing and after approval from the Order, the vehicle will enter serial production according to the contract.

I'll provide additional documentation once the weapon systems are completed and installed.

Nice paint job. I really like how it looks with the second cupola removed. It's so smoothly dome as well..Nice work.

Yeah, that removal of the hatch is so well done I sat here for a good minute before I twigged what was missing! I really like the gold-colored bars against the purple - subtle enough that it doesn't read "Emperor's Children", which is always a risk with that combo. Love the sentinel with the multilaser too.

I shall proudly present another war machine rolling out of my workshop. The smaller cousin of the might Baneblade, Macharius heavy tank equipped with two Vanquisher cannons.
This deadly piece of Imperial tech was actually rescued from sealed cargo-bays of a millennia-old transport vessel fused into a twisted abomination of spaceships also known as Space Hulk.
Our troops boarded the vessel, drove out the Orks that inhabited the vessel and emptied the cargo-bays, capturing tens of thousands of weapons and hundreds of vehicles and aircraft, with the Macharius being one of them. Engineers then planted explosives at the ships warp engines and blew it from a safe distance, sending the whole thing into the Warp.

After taking this piece onto my workshop, I had to disassemble it to the last bit, check all the components, repair or replace all things necessary before putting it back together. The onboard system logs revealed this vehicle is actually a veteran that fought with the Kriegsmen and went through several campaigns mostly unharmed or with non-critical damages. Its grizzled machine spirit has been calmed by countless hours of recitating and chanting before it accepted it's new 'owners' and the crew is now training extensively. Keeping the machine's old name was seen as a way to honour the reinforcements that never arrived at the place of destination.

Well, here it is.

So many great conversions and scratch builds so far, I love the sentinel most of all!

The works on the halftrack chimera continues slowly, but there is still some progress. I was busy with other, non-significant tasks like equipping traitor guardsmen practice targets for Blackstone Fortress or oiling and adjusting that friendly automaton, that came with them.

Today, I found a relic from the past. An old, civilian car originating from the Holy Terra in late M2.
A bit of history, after a man with the brush-like mustache, was defeated by a man with a broom-like mustache and two men with little facial hair, the brush-mustache man's country was war-torn and dysfunctional. Their people needed a cheap and easy-to-produce car. Since metal was expensive and factories were disassembled by the broom-like mustache man (only to be left to rust somewhere in his country, never assembled again), a material called Duroplast was used. It's literally compressed cotton and some kind of resin. Powered by 2-piston 2-stroke engine, it has become a legend that was manufactured for over 20 years and Adeptus Mechanicus surely have an exemplar or two somewhere in their vaults, unless it was eaten by rodents.

Oh, that Trabant is just beautiful! Also, I'm really liking your conversion work!
