I really liked Manson's soundtrack from the first one. One of the few times I'd be firmly in favor of remaking a series so soon after it's release.

I may rewatch it just for the DC, which I usually skip.

Best commentary ever is Tropic Thunder, tho. Hands down.

The first one has the best DVD commentary I've ever heard, so I remember it fondly for that. There's a bit where the director's talking about colour filters used in the flashbacks or something, and Mila interrupts with "You just saw my nipple. How committed am I?", and he replies "If you were really committed, we'd have seen both of them."

The first film commentary is wonderful - they all seem to be sitting about having a laugh and driniking etc _ I recall Mila and Michelle discussing Grand Theft Auto as the film progresses and Michelle bemoaning that she does not get to knife people. Also Mila berating the others about her name being said wrong.

Ranks alongside Underworlds commentary with Kate quizzing her husband (the director) about Sophie Myles topless scene.

I greatly enjoyed the first Resident Evil movie.

Point: I don't have a problem with someone liking something, but I have a problem with someone saying Twilight is in the Top 20% of books on vampires. You can be fine with someone liking something and disagree about the quality of said thing.

And that has to do with the subject how? Is someone's opinion less valued because of their grammer or spelling?

If the spellchecker worked for me it would be easier - also if I was not also playing MWO at the same time

Point - you have your top 20% - others have their own - its subjective - how could it not be.

There are many many horror films produced and so opinion is going to be highly varied and subjective.

My point was if you can make snide remarks, so I can go. And liking a film is subjective. The quality of said film is not. There are films that are cult classics, films like "Trolls 2". That does not make them "good".

I would suggest that your opinion on the quality of say "the Dark Knght" and my view of its complete lack of the same would be subjective. Same with Res Evil - I find it has many qualities:

Fun
Fast
Enjoyable characters
great music
great effects
Mila kicking ass

I doubt you would agree but these make it a "quality" film in my opinon. All of our opinons have exactly equal weight and importance.

I love Resident Evil as a "sit down and paint while listening to it, occasionally looking up during RE2 cuz Jill Valentine actress is hot as hell with raven hair." It's fun. I even liked the third one. After that, they all flow together and point=lost. There are 5, with a 6th on the way, right?

Is it worthy of an Oscar? Hahahahaha. No. Is it fun to watch every once in a while while painting? Hell yes.

Yesterday I was reading this post and I went and watched the first movie....still love it
