We where sent to two one was less sensitive training more of a cultural learning class after school. It was a class that talked about the history of native Americans in Nova Scotia and their history. The teacher never forced us to go but said he would be looking for us so we would respect his culture.

The second was in my 3rd year of college when the teacher said who would you like to be. This guy in the corner said Angelina Jolie because of her big and did a boob jesters. Then she slammed her books down said he was a rude pig, he said she has nice assets then she stormed out of the class room. The principal of the college came in within 5 minutes and gave us a talking to about being rude and such. Then said do to no one pointing out the culprit who was the transgressor we would need to talk about this further. Got a email about 3 days later about a woman sensitivity training that our class must attend. Only the men where there along with a few other guys and we had to do the 2 hour course. Then got a piece of paper thanking us for completing the course. Which the principal asked to see later that day.

I've spent time on multiple campuses for multiple reasons, not just as a student, over the last few decades and I have never seen or heard anything like this outside of some ridiculous fantasists.

Wut.

No one ever mentioned there was a difference. I just chopped it up to she has red hair he has long hair he is white she is black and so on. No one mentioned anything about it one way or another. I just figured our great grandparents came here and this is life who's house are we going to today and what we doing. Never gave a reason why she has red hair or why he is black a second thought.

And omg that is crap 5 things to never say to a woman according to the lady at sensitivity training

1 you are looking nice today (even if you are dating her) it may creat a hostile inviromemt for other women who hear that and think they are less pretty.
2 what's your plans for tonight. ( even if you say this to other men it be considered sexually agressive)
3 talk about children or child birth with them. ( it is not your place as a man to comment on it)
4 ask them if they ate yet or would like something to eat. ( many women are worried about their weight and you should mind your own buisness.)
5 say a woman's name is doing really well in anything. ( women should not be taught to compete against ech other.)
Oh I forgot never open a door for a woman, it is personifying a male gender role and women are able to open the door themselves.
So if you leave a room and a girl is trying to get out slam the door fast or your rude lol.

Where is this from and are you making all this out?

I don't believe for a moment that an accredited institution would implement a woman sensitivity course that is so condescending to their mental faculties. It's basically treating them like children.

Bruh, I'm not even from there, and I know Canada has a huge race problem, specifically with Aborigines. So either A) you didn't grow up in Canda, B) you grew up in a small town where they hid racism, or C) you ignored it and glossed over it. Based on your infamous "shirt" thread, I'm leaning towards C.

Can't decide if this is just a massive troll thread....

Making the comment about breasts to a female instructor and then doubling down by commenting on her was a jerk move. The fact that no one would point out the punk's atrocious behavior when he didn't have the guts to own up is telling. Really, this all comes across like it came from an immature high school kid.

>So if you leave a room and a girl is trying to get out slam the door fast or your rude lol.

Yep, there it is. Or just, you know, recognize that women are actual human beings, and not just walking babymakers with "boobs".

I thought that was what he was referring to. do Canadians refer to high school as college like the British do?

Thanks for the shout-out dude

Actually, most of my impressions don't come from troll threads. DakkaDakka is the only message board I visit. Well, this and occassionally MandolinCafe, but that's just about mandolins, and doesn't have any board related to social issues or politics.

Most of my impressions come from personal interactions with people, social media, and the wide spectrum of media outlets I peruse...if you're even interested, anyways.

As do most of OgreChubb's contributions to the forum.

Seriously, his posts read like a teenager wrote them. Like Matthew or hotsauceman.

I don't know what issues he may or may not have, I don't want to sound rude, but I often find it hard to believe this stuff comes from someone who apparently owns a home and has a family.

You may want to broaden your horizons then. Social media and media outlets in general are known for their exaggerated opinions.

Hence the bit where I said I didn't want to sound rude incase he has legit issues.

If he doesn't, it all sounds like a kid trolling a forum and pretending to be an adult to legitimize his posts.

I have no way of telling which is correct, and I'm sorry if I caused offense, it's unintentional.

One of those may be true. Or maybe not. One shouldn't believe everything one reads on the internet
