Dr thank you. I think I need a dr. This project is getting a bit much.

In an effort to keep the ball rolling and not lose hope in this project I am doing little work on it every day.

I added the point defense mounts, lower plate mounts and the rear rail guards. I also cleaned the void shields.

Cat walks

Also please start doodling names. We will have a poll later and the best name goes on the titan. I will also mail out a certificate of appreciation to you from Lord fabricator panda for the winning voted name.

i would probably plan murder when i would have these bended pieces by FW...i think my patience would be under an ultimate test then...in the end it would be a possible outcome that even even tho i would have paid a hefty price the titan might acquire the option for flight...

Any kit you get from FW is going to be bent. It gets hot during shipping, and is soft out of the mold. While jetpacking the model is tempting I suggest saner hands meet the world.

It's actually been going fairly well. Happy to see you Vik!

Gryphonicus - a nearly wiped out group. Fluff more or less covered here.

Mistakes are certian, but all you got to do is keep trying. And dry fit 10 times because the first 9 were not the same and the model may enter a super state of phase shift altering dimensions breifly.

I'd reference something from one of their old battles, like Ullanor's Wrath or Shield of Khedive. The Warlord in particular should be a venerable machine that has been around for ages.

these are wonderful ideas. It fits their fluff well.

Then on to progress.

I put magnets in the head of the Titan and did it correctly with respect to their fields.

I put the magents in with some of the new tools I have, namely fancy Foster drill bits. They are different than wood drill bits as their point is shorter. Thus they make simpler cylinders that dont go as deep.

Current working tool list....

I can go through each tool if the community likes, but this should be a simple guide.

Awesome stuff here mate - and thanks for the heads-up on the Forstner drill bits. I'll have to get some of those for myself.

Cheers big ears! those bits save a lot of heart ache and troubles.

On to the progress.

I have added the side units, upper arm joints, and rear reactors, and done the gap filling.

It is indeed a great model. Accompanied with all the head aches it can cause. I need to get all the Titans built by October. Hoping the rest go faster than this gentlemen. They should be finished painted by December.

Progress time!

I can finally say, short of armor pieces there is nothing left to glue for the center torso... oh and I need to create or patch the elbows as I inserted magnets for later magic.

And this is how i feel about this

I mean I have some sanding and minor gap filling to do, but I can now work on the arms and upper carapace weapons.

Looking good! I'd suggest "Aeterna" for the Warlord. "The Eternal One". It's the feminine version for interest. You could use "Aeternus" if you preferred a boy name.

You know, until I started following your thread I didn't appreciate just how much one would have to spend on other stuff just to get this thing together. My hat is off to you.

One more thing, what ever happened to that army of FW flyers you were working on?

Wait, you already have a Warlord and got another? That you would build a 2nd one is blowing my mind.

My word that was fast. I need someone like you locally to build my own Forgeworld stuff. It's sadly easier for me to buy than for me to get around to properly cleaning up/straightening/assembling it. When are you moving to Melbourne?

I like these suggestions. Thank you for the contribution.

whalemusic360 wrote:Will the magnets be strong enough? The arms weigh quite a bit.

Yeah about that. I upped my game. It took 1lb of force release the arm, and with my upped game takes close to a 10lb tug to release. It is hearty but low in friction so I am added a vertical magnet and abandoning rotational arms. Should take around 15lbs of force to remove afterwards.

They are 90% done in terms of paint job and all done otherwise.

I also have plans for a 3rd. Somebody stop me.

I will Melbourne for a decent salary and some good games . Not sure you want to buy 1 panda for your hobby needs.

On to the progress.

Assemble it flipping someone off and then mount it on your paint desk right in front of you until everything gets painted. It could be a motivator .

I like your style. Speaking of which how bad is it if I actually make the second hand giving the middle finger. The child in me wants too.

ApaceKittens wrote:Make the hand a brush holder.

It can already hold that. Paddles too. We played ping pong.

On to the progress.

Working on the plasma arms at the same time. Figure I would go faster already having the right tools out. I constantly have to educate myself on magnets as I do my work. Mostly using them to talk to my brothers in the stars.

Oh and whalemusic.. you can lift the entire torso upside down by the arms. Not recommended as that is the limit of the joints. But you can.

Thank you all for the comments. It really does keep the steam in me to get through these 6 titans.

The great thing about the dreamforge leviathans is you can change their poses and stuff after assembly until you glue the pistons into permanent place. I even painted him up without gluing him together to ensure I could play with him like an action figure. It'll rub paint off at the joints, but it's fun to change him around.

Plus the hot swap arms work just like the magnets....only without drilling.

Science knows no budget.

On to the progress

I got the plasma arms done. Just shy the shoulder weapons l and other hand. Should be starting a warhound this weekend, and sending out some pilots as a due request.

Photos for reasons.

As you can tell I need to repair/ fix the elbow joint, to cover the magnet. Not sure what to use. If any of you have ideas I am open to it. Green stuff sculpting ahoy!
