Okay, finally decided what to enter. For a Nurgle-dedicated unit, this thing moves pretty quick:

I need to get a couple of these painted, so I thought I'd enter one for this challenge as it at least somewhat fits the bill.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):

Oh cool just found this thread, rather new here.
So just finished this model today from my army blog and fits the subject perfectly

Here my entry:
I know I originally wanted to stay to a authentic more natural colour scheme though having so much fun with the airbrush and wanting to learn and try out new things with it have forced me to go a little bit wild on this one!

Before I got started on the conversionon the 10th of September:

I have now done 3 Models with the airbrush and wanted to try something new, I think it turned out quite well even though it is only my 2nd time trying flames, first time on a piece of foam board to try and get the feeling for it.
I gave the combat fighter a ghost flame paint job so the "Red leader" would stand out.

Perfect chance to introduce the first special character Duke "Blue Ghost" Skydancer a top gun pilot specialized in air to air combat, what else

Finished 12th of September

Lightning Viper DV-Z38 "The Blue Ghost"
Red Leader

Air to Air superiority combat fighter

Nice choice Zerg, I remember your death guard being well painted from previous entries.

Hello and Welcome Evil-D185

Some really nice work with the airbrush, its created a very cool effect and the little bit of weathering is a nice touch.

Good luck with trying a new painted method Dr giggles

I've thought of a use for the pile of Ghar stuff I got from the Warlord sale. Counts as Inceptors for my fledgling Primaris force. I have no idea if inceptor are any good, or what they should be armed with, but I think the C3 drones work rather well.with Ghar bombers to make flying thingies

Proof picture of the first prototype. 2 more to.joint this one.

Just finished assembling the not-inceptor. Still waiting for the bases but they fit nicely on flying bases for now. I don't know if you can mix plasma and bolters in a squad, but i only had the 4 burst cannon anyway, so it is what it is.

On to priming and a simple paint job next in a vain attempt to actually finish a project, given that these things have trumped terrain, 3 necromunda gangs, a primaris kill team and a whole bunch of tanks I promised myself I'd finish in August...

Hey guys, I'll be changing my entry. I hope this is alright. I'm entering the scout specialist for my kill team - which is about as fast as these lads can go in the squad-based scale

Don’t think you can get out of painting up a rhino for your Ultra’s so easily! You can enter up to 5 models, let’s see you paint both of them (and 3 other guys)

Your Ultramarines deserve a nice ride.

Made quite quick work of the power armour using the tutorial here: https://youtu.be/m88k6YYm9Uo

Using drybrushing as a big stage does jar a bit with how I normally paint, but I do like not taking hours per guy.

Plus I got the test base done.

Everyone looking really solid this month!

This might be another no-show for me this month, been so busy with moving into my new place I havent even been able to prime my entry and I also need to move it to the larger 32mm bases as well!

I'm in, with what was going to be my entry into last month's challenge had it arrived in time. But with a speed of 240ft (or around 0-150mph and back in) per turn (6 seconds), I think Critical Role's Vax'ildan qualifies this month as well! Lovely model to paint, albeit tiny (without the wings he's maybe a third of the mass of a Space Marine). Since people have been asking me for bigger pics recently I've tried that here, although I do think it just makes my paintjobs look way worse. These probably aren't final pics, as they've not come out as well as I thought.

I'll get the OP squared away momentarily, apologies for the delay as I've been sorting last-minute uni stuff again.

My entry:

Going for the look he's going so fast, the pitch/dirt spurts behind him, kinda like this:

Might be a bit ambitious, looking at the remaining time and my skills, but we'll see how things work out. Otherwise I can always go for just the Blitzer only.
Don't mind the look of the grass and "dirt" as it is now. It's just a test-look. The grass will be cut better, PVA and sand will be added to the gully.

I'd love to hear your thoughts about this. Tips and critiques are more than welcome, especially on how to create that cartoonish base!

Nice work guys

Jamesy, they are looking very cool, You have done the half and half colour scheme very well.

Yay bigger photos from Para still looking awesome you have nothing to worry about.

Thats a great idea Tim, are you planning to try and make the dust cloud? (since I think that would be the hardest part to get looking right) you could add footprints behind him to show he has run through the dust/sand.

Dust cloud, no. Dirt and grass, yes. Unless someone has a brilliant idea to make that dust cloud very simple and easy.

Nice, very atmospheric.

I need to "Pick up the Pace" on my entry. I can't believe it's the 19th already. Of the five models, four of them are plain black with the skin areas blocked in. I might not finish all of them, but hopefully I'll finish one or two.
