My dream army for 40k would be a full mixed Eldar force of Craftworlds, Dark Eldar, and Harlequins.

For AoS/other fantasy games, I'd love to expand on my Fyreslayers with a full set of Dispossessed/classic dwarves. I would style it on the dwarves from WFB, so the main bulk of my army would be the classic dwarves, while the Fyreslayers would be allies.

I want (and am determined) to get a copy of every LotRs miniature. They were my entry into this hobby and I must have them all.

Time and money allowing, a full Dark Angels chapter would be nice, with accompanying BFG fleet.

Been looking for 3 more Armorcast Warhounds.
Always thought doing one for each Chaos God would be a really fun project. Do each one to the max of my skills, total conversions on each one. Take a mediocre, old model and make it a masterpiece (or as close as I can).

I like tiny things, and so i've often wanted an army of the tiniest little guys that various wargames have to offer. An army of snotlings may not make sense from most perspectives or even be possible now, but that doesn't change the fact that I want one.

I think I am well on my way to my dream collection, I can't say I am missing anything I really, really want. It was a collection of dungeon tiles and enough fantasy minis to run any kind of fantasy game I wanted, and I am there now.
So at the moment what I really want is terrain.
I would love a collection of terrain for a Dark Ages Ireland set up, a Jungle set up with aztec ruins, and a ruined cityscape and ash waste set up. I think with those four (2 on a green mat, 2 on a grey mat) I would have enough battlefield variety to keep me happy for a long time.

A renegade IG army with a mobile, aggressive flavour; hellhounds, sentinels with flamers, ogryns and infantry that look like the current cultist models. Some ranged support but only enough to hold objectives. It would be Khornate planetary defense force in the fluff, and on the table should be a blast to play

Realistically if GW released plastic steel legion, Valhallans, Tallarn or DKoK I'd go for it, they don't have to be renegades

I have the army, I just have to muster the will to play it. My Chapter - the Avengers of Horus. It is composed of a Grey Knight first company, Space Marine Dark Angels successor 2nd & 3rd company, Imperial Guard recruit 4th company, with a Knight attachment and Admech motor pool.



Unfortunately the pictures are a tad old (and taken for reference for what I still needed to paint vs. what was complete). I've added Primaris to the marines, another superheavy, squad of tanks and support vehicles to the IG, up to three Knights + Armigers on the Knights and the Admech army is now over 2K points by itself.

...And I still want an Impulsor.

Given unlimited time and money, I would love to do a Space Marine army that is fully kitbashed with the Stormcast Eternals. I think the aesthetic would work out very nicely.

I currently collect Tau and will be starting sisters soon. Dream there would be 3 of every unit and 6 of every troop choice. Let me take the rule of 3 to the next level for some apocalypse games. lol.

For my gloomspite gitz I want at least one max size unit for each options and 2 if possible.

I always tell people that I don't play an army I collect an army and the play the game using the collection.

Well from the sound of it Archon may finally have got the manufacturing for your Aztec stuff done and the latest update says they'll be offering in via ks agAIN but their customer service is still shakey at best(https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/archonstudio/rampart-magnetized-modular-terrain-for-tabletop/description),

Impossible for Skitarii. They have ALWAYS been cool. There is no before.

In terms of collecting stuff I feel like I'm almost there. I own the armies I want, and while there's always another unit or two I'd like to add to most of them there isn't really any other army I'd want.

The real issue is getting them fully painted. For instance I have 7 WHFB armies, high elves, dwarfs, lizardmen, goblins, skaven, undead and ogres. Only one and a half or them are painted! 3 of them haven't even been assembled. Given the years it's taken me to collect them (over 20 at this point) I feel like I need to do something dramatic to get them done.

The one big one I always regret not getting at the time is a praetorian guard army, zulu style. I don't really need it, as I have 2 imperial guard armies as it is, and good forbid the painting que will last me my lifetime already. But if GW did a made to order for them, I would get very carried away.

I guess my "dream army" has been in the works for decades.
I made a plan for the colour scheme to be used by any and all models no-matter the faction I field.
The Inquisition pulls it all together, I have the ultimate "soup" army.

So yeah, I have about 2000pts of these guys somewhat fully painted (5000 points just primed but assembled).
These will remain the squat-marines only army.

I have 7000 (not 100% sure, could be more) points of Cadian Imperial Guard assembled and primed (Including Shadowsword and Baneblade) but only some 100 grunts fully painted.

2000 points of Grey Knights assembled and primed silver (At least half of them are metal).

And I have an exclusively Primaris Army of Ultramarines some 3000+ points with at least one squad/model of each that is out there.

I have a fully painted Imperial Knight with... a few... more guys in boxes...

I have an army of Mechanicus largely in boxes.

I have about 1500 points worth of Deathwatch together... with more in boxes.... some are the original metal parts guys.

So, my actual achievable goal is ensure the "I have everything" Black Templar I finish up painting the more competitive stuff and say "done" for the time being.
My Ultramarines I already have over 30 grunts fully painted I am about ready to slap decals on and then focus on the "more competitive stuff" to get completed.
We are talking full Brigades here.
Imperial Guard are in a similar boat where I think I can get a Brigade to work... finishing off the number of tanks and heavy weapon stands will be a bit daunting (Got about 24 of HW).
The IK will be a bit lonely, he will need some Mechanicus to ensure he works OK.

This dream (or nightmare) is only possible due to me owning a couple airbrushes and now "competent" enough to use them effectively.

Every last stand is painted that orangey-brown base colour.
They are also all gravelled and have the odd interesting bits on them (I now cut and glue small brass rod for shell casings where appropriate).
Plasma is always green-glow.
Power weapons, engine exhaust-glow and las-cannon glow of any type are blue.
Every last lens is a glinting red unless the body of the item is red, then it is green (most vehicle viewports or glass tint are green).
Every viewscreen or monitor is a dark green.
Every last barrel has a hole, period. Yes, I drill them all out.
Where possible like with chainswords or power-fists the body of the weapon has the yellow and black hazard stripe: anything that us a melee item, some vehicle ploughs I have added the stripe, espcally if they have spikes).
Where possible, the housing of most guns are red.
Melta / Flamer / Plasma nozzles are brass/copper (anything that is the business end that gets hot).
Most weapon options get a magnet... almost all vehicles have fully swappable guns.
Every last Aquilia is gold.
Every last pouch, belt, strap is a "snakebite leather" (ish) colour.

So, all in all, they all match when fielded as soup.
If I put out all my models onto one surface i think they would all be sucked-up into a hobby black-hole by their collective weight and cost.

So yeah, I AM living the dream.

My dream collection I think isn't too grandiose when compared to how wild dreams can be. Or maybe it is. I don't know.

I'd like to have a 2500 point army for each W40K faction; nicely painted of course. They would all be displayed nicely in my game room where I have a simple, but effective, vaulted game table and swaths of awesome terrain.

I would like to collect a full imperial guard infantry regiment based on a Soviet guards rifle regiment. Currently I have a platoon. It may take a while!

I recently got super lucky and landed a whole bunch of Kasrkin Guard... they've always been my dream, painting them is becoming my nightmare xD

Given enough time and money I'd like to create a small table and 1250pts of an army that plays well and balanced against them... maybe genestealer cult with stealers for those starship troopers vibes...

a Zone Mortalis style board is looking within reach maybe with the new stuff we've seen, who knows?

My dream collection is my own custom Chaos Warband, well more Legion sized, with one of all the different CSM models in the same scheme.

I just started not long but am slowly working towards that goal, mainly focusing on the newer models and working my way down, logic being some of the older models might have a new sculpt appearing in the future.

One day I hope to gather enough together so they look like they are on a proper killing spree on a planet.

Putting the armies together for me isn’t the issue, it’s painting the bloody things. I just wish I had the will to paint all the Plague Marines I have, but I truly hate painting them.

That's why I loved Conquest. Monthly drops of Plague Marines in small amounts. Very achievable for me at the time.

I've been away from home for three months so I do have a backlog now.

A daemonkin army with a firey devil theme would be something imo.
