Kinda makes sense lore wise since Guardians should only be used in battle if there is no alternatives

It's also a Boarding Patrol meaning you don't *need* troops. They could have addedd more aspect warriors.... oh wait the only elite Aspects in plastic are Banshees and Avengers, right....

They're allowed a single Dark Reaper Squad - and aren't Corsairs experts in ship-to-ship actions?

You would assume so - they have to make a living doing it.

The dark behind the eyes.

The Craftworld/Corsair one looks pretty nice. Not a fan of special characters but the rest is fine.

Dark Eldar... zzzzzzZZZZZZ.

Isn't this basically the exact same one they've done before, just minus the vehicle?

I guess that's what happens when you strip a codex bare and refuse to add any new units in 12 years.

They could be comically bad at their job, like the pirates in Asterix or Homer Simpson

With a grand total of three Troop choices and a single Elite choice that is actually available right now there's not much else they could have reasonably put in the box. Mandrakes would have fit, but they seem to have gone too...

Absolutely. About £52 if it's available on Wayland. If I didn't already have Jain and the Banshees then I'd be getting this no problem.

This is such a shame, because Banshees and Reapers are my jam.

Do they offer plastic Banshees in any other way? I haven't been keeping up with modern 40K releases...

Looking for dice from the new AOS boxed set and Dark Imperium on the cheap. Let me know if you can help.

They have been available for a little bit now. But the way they are priced ($60 for 5) you really want to grab them in a discount bundle.

The problem is that I'd be getting them for a 3rd Ed. force so the whole rest of the bundle is useless to me.

On the assumption they have a set price point across the range? The U.K. SM one is £65. So not allowing for upcoming price rise? I’d say check the Aus price on that and you should have about as accurate a figure as one can hope.

If this is the price of 1/3 of the Eldar box, that's a steal, even at £75:
https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/kill-team-corsair-voidscarred-2022
Kill Team: Corsair Voidscarred; £35

I might have to dive in and buy the Corsairs I told myself I wasn't going to.

Ahh, I see! Couldn’t find them on the GW website when I looked.

But even at £75, it’s still an attractive price. I currently have no Jain Zar or Corsairs, and any 2nd Ed Eldar army can use more Bumshees, because they were ace! Ace but fragile to shooting.

Yeah, they aren't up for preorder yet but FLGS's have price lists. From B&C:

Dare we hope that’s already incorporating the forthcoming price rise?

Yeah I think it must be, prices go up two days after so i would think anything released now will have them worked in already.

It’s good Iyanden themed as well :-D so fits into my Eldar well, Yay!

Might go for the Corsairs box; definitely don't need them, but have 10 as is and they're stunning models.

Seems to be a super flexible kit in terms of modelling options, and indeed what they can field as a unit.

Eldar are the clear winner here. All newish models with Corsairs only a year old. Sure makes the Dark Eldar box look sad. GW should really give the army a substantial model release when their next codex comes around.

On the bright side, when you inevitably miss out because GW produced too few boxes, it'll feel much better if the box wasn't too good to miss.

it seems like an odd choice but why do they keep adding named characters to these patrol boxes?

Who says it must be done as named character?

Can't you just convert spare Jain Zar into a banshee Exarch (downgrading a mini by clipping off excess gak is pretty easy after all) then use extra Exarch as say Autarch who kept his banshee plate?

This argument was always weird to me, I have seen lots of named primaris captains converted to generic officers from other chapters, converting eldar to slightly different eldar sure can't be more difficult than removing all the lizard junk from Agatone for his badass hammer pose...

Leave the Kabalites and Raiders alone, there's zero chance GW can improve them and they'll get a price increase. Delete the Green Goblins and figure out what to do with the rest of the stuff they've been neglecting/removing.

I mean, just look at the size of Jain Zar vs the Exarch... Space marines are easy conversions, whereas Eldar aren't readily convertible due to how they're built.

Most of her 'size' is the hair and the special base. Looking at her sprue, there isn't actually much there- the arms, body and weapons make up less than half. A head swap is pretty easy, the trick is getting her feet on the floor (a foot or leg replacement from another kit is recommended)

Efficiency is the highest virtue.

If it is £75, less 20% discount for £60?

I could stomach doubling up, as even with no immediate use for two Jain Zar, the second is still a £45 saving.

Yeah, that is true.

And if its £75 I'm really not losing any sleep. Might consider a pair of Wardogs instead...
