Yeah, I wonder about that. I have seen some 40k-ish things in the "pre-quels" of ep-1/2/3. Mostly 2 and 3

Almost every good setting I know is based on stagnation, decadence and postapocalyptic vibe. At least the most awesome of those.

Surprisingly, but I've never heard of the SKIF models before. I'm still is a pretty new to the modeling hobby... The only one Russian major model manufacturer I can recall is "Tehnolog", but I can't say I like their products, though it's of a fairly good quality and can be a decent material for some conversions.

It's totally true - the silent monolithic grimness of such masks fits perfectly for the bad guys. As for the Count Dooku... Indeed, he is perfect as he is. I like his appearance in the Clone Wars series by Genndy Tartakovsky the most. In fact, I think that's one of the best media product about the Star Wars universe.

Yeah, but that head is still pretty cool. That just means you need to sculpt an NCR ranger for the head.

one thing tho... on the mask...the snout... the lil "Y" shaped structure...that looks strange to me... if it was me i would do something about that...!

Hmmm, the cloak has that almost medeival vibe going with the "dags" there, so I think he screams Mask+Hood.

Anyway, I've noticed a lot of skilled people do lack some adequate critiques sometimes about their product, which leads to lower quality. In fact that's one of the biggest problem of humanity... Along with determination of what the heck the adequate critique is

well...the el vik effect...:

commonly known as the butterfly effect... at first it looks like a sunny day... with kittens, and bluetits and stuff...all flowery and green grass...then i hit the crit-o-meter... and then whoooop ... stockmarket crashes all of a sudden, you get cows with two heads... and also...you never find a pair of shoes again that you doens´t have to squeeze into...true story bro!

Personnally, I find that El Vic is one my stongest critics! He really doesn't pull punches when he finds something off. I like that. And yes, it does improve the overall quality.

Always in the back on mind, I am thinking, "Will this please El Vic?" I have completely re-done certain things with that running through my mind before I ever post pictures.

Also, in my mind, El Vic sounds like Colonel Klink from Hogan's Heros....so, that is incentive right there!
