The Rhino Medusa is done. I've decided to name it the Sucker Punch, I can't figure why, but I like it.
Painted the dozerblade with teeth and it seems to work well.
As for whats next im not sure. I still need to actually do something with the Stuart hull... I have the T28 Super Heavy Tank still in its box. and another Panzer 4 hull. So I need to hurry along before Christmas brings a bunch more models to work on.

On my Christmas list is multiple model tanks and even a heavy defensive fortress
From those I can remember on my list.
"Wheel Tank, Mine Clearer" or some German Tank with huge wheels that I want in 1/35th which would make it big enough for a Macharius tank. Refitted with a larger turret, and given duel battle cannons it should work well.
a Locust (M22) and a V1602 Leopard (german light tank, never built) should have hulls small enough to be Leman Russ Tanks since the tiny French tank I have is smaller then them (width wise) but its shorter length wise. So they should be big enough to be LRBT sized.
VK4502B (German Heavy Tank, never built) its long hull should be good enough to build a Macharius Omega and strap a big Plasma Weapon to it or a massive Tesla Cannon to shoot super destructive lightning blasts at the enemy.
and a few other things.
In the mean time. Ill get out the other Pz4 hull and put tracks on it. Could use another Malcador Infernus maybe.
and the T28 still needs to be built. Ill get him done to complete the trio of Shadowswords. I think hes to short lengthwise but I can easily extend him with modifications.

Christmas has come by and I have a large amount of work to do. Also hope everyone else's Christmas was just as good as mine. (and If you don't celebrate Christmas, hope your Wednesday was good)
Apoc book, Escalation, Stronghold Assault books.
Vk4502 B (rear turret). Will possibly be Macharius Omega, probly mega Tesla Coil cannon, or Heavy Quantum Eradicator Cannon
Leopard Vk1602 Light tank prototype. Could easily fashion into a LRBT if the size is right (which it should be, its only slightly larger then a Stuart.)
LVT5A1 a massive ampbiious vehicle that could serve as a CRASSIUS ARMORED ASSAULT TRANSPORT with only a few modifications (but Ill mod it further of course), if its too big for a CAAT then I can rip off the top and further mod to make a Gorgon (but I don't think I have the infantry to make it efficient.
Another Walker Bulldog. could make another PYRO Flame tank (but BLU)
A Mark 4 Male Heavy Tank (WW1 British rhomboid Tank). Not sure what to make him into, leave suggestions, perhaps a Macharius if done properly.... add a turret super structure to its top... I dunno.
A German Experimental Mine clearer. VsKfz 617, Giant Wheel tank of Doom. Not sure what to make it now that I've seen how big he is. hes just large enough to be a Macharius (length wise) and his wheels make him just wide enough. But he has a thin body. Im sure some mods to the hull would make it work.
A tiny little heli called a Flettner FI 282. what to make of him *shrug*. depending on how big he is, its gonna be something.
and a massive Tempestus Firebase. I never imagined how BIG the Aquila turret is. nor how large the bunkers are. but jeeze! The Aquila turret can be reworked to use its eagle elsewhere but a big Cannon of some sort of course will be used.
Ill get back when I get something done.

Progress.
Im done building the Firebase and it just needs paint. The Macro cannon won't have the eagle part on it but instead some heavy armor riveted onto it (just don't like the eagle part on the gun. Im sure I could use it for something else)
but first ill need to paint the firestorm redoubts (one is partially done other only based) and get some more basing paint. don't have a picture of them but I did get some progress on 2 armored vehicles.
the VK1602 Leopard (German light tank project. only in blueprints.) It fits the size of a LRBT and is only a few MM longer. I managed to remove the front of a LRBT turret and bolt it to the front of the turret of the VK, otherwise only a piddly 5cm (50mm) cannon would be used and its size would make it only an auto cannon in-game. I should have some spare bolter sponsons should I ever decide to apply them but that's unlikely.
The tracks were a pain as they needed to be assembled piece by piece so I didn't bother with the tracks on top of the road wheels and just hid them behind the armored skirts. Im thinking of adding a stubber to the rear of the turret.
the Lascannon I'm thinking I will need to cut the hull and build it into there.
overall I am happy how its turning out. much like the Vanguard its "sleeker" (if you could call an armored war machine sleek) then the boxy LRMT design, and feels like it would be more efficient and speedier then even a Hellhound.
The Pz4 hull has tracks (finally), Ill get around to building the super structure on it eventually...
Ill get back soon hopefully with painted firestorm redoubts and a more complete VK1602 LRBT and Pz4 Malcador.

the Vk1602 Leopard LRBT continues.
Additional pieces of equipment have been added and the Lascannon has been wedged into the front hull. A smaller Sentinal Lascannon was used with its cables removed.
A hunter killer is mounted on top of the turret on its own launch rail. alongside a Search light and smoke launcher. spare infantry backpacks are also on the turret rear.
The side skirt armor has a small detail on it which I think makes it look a lot better then the plain sheet it was. Its small But it looks better I think. no idea what its called though..... but it makes it look like panels (kinda)
At one Point I thought of making a "clothes line" radio antenna around the turret or on one side of it. But I didn't bother with it. the turret would be too crowded.
Besides painting up the Firestorm Redoubts and the Aquila strongpoint (minus the Macro Cannon Turret). I still have to finish up the Pz4, or of course go onto work on something else from the Christmas line-up.

update.
The leopard is nearly done painting. got the turret done (minus a few tiny tweaks). Ill get the Hull soon.
I've decided just to name him "Leo", and on the front of the turret has a pair of eyes painted on and kill tallys on the barrel.
He should be a good lightning bruiser. able to move faster then a normal russ (due to better suspension) with equal armor and firepower. in fluff only of course.
I've figured out the concept of the panzer 4 Flame tank. instead of fire the opposite Ice shall be used. The idea comes from the Allies I C&C Red Alert 3 who have a love of Cryo Weapons, that freeze things solid. The theory is the tank has a chemical mixture derived from Starship reactor coolant that expands to 200x its volume in a heavier then air gaseous state (stored in liquid form) and can freeze things into an ultra brittle state in a fraction of a second. Its like Liquid Nitrogen but could freeze your car solid, and cause it to shatter under its own weight.
Infantry are killed as they are frozen and only the lucky ones (rolls of 1) survive to watch their friends turn into popsicles and shatter into a frozen bloody mess (they become so brittle they shatter under their own weight). Power armor and cover prove no match against it as it seeps its way into the armor and freezes the marine solid, (worst case of frostbite ever! like instant, full body frostbite!) while freezing the armor solid as well. Cover is pointless as it sinks to the ground being heavier then the air around it. It is highly visible though, seen as a blue-ish white fog that erupts from the weapon (some liken it to Frozen Fire). It dissipates at a steady rate, allowing troops to follow up in the wake of the machine, the ground crushing like broken glass from the micro crystals of ice that form from the gas. Light armored vehicles with thinner armor can shatter under the deluge of freeze chems. Heavier armored machines weaker rear and side armor can allow the freezing gas to reach critical components. freezing and bursting fuel lines, destroying vital electronics and more. Only the most resilient of creatures and armor (anything that can withstand ST 6 AP3) can survive the icy blasts, if their armor can hold against it! (failing saves)
Plus I want to try out icing effects like icicles on the barrel of the projector and out of vents. Was thinking of naming it the Cold Hearted . With only the first letter legible with the rest obscured by a sheet of ice coming out of a vent .
The LVT on the other hand will come afterwards. Unless I get side tracked and work on it as opposed to the Panzer 4 Ice Tank (Malcador Infernus), which could happen....

Leo is done.
Can't think of fluff right now. But I tried out some new paints on him. some ryza rust dry painted on some places and typhus corrosion on the lower hull and side skirts. I like how it turned out. Will have to add it to other tanks as I go along.
the Pzr4 will be starting soon.

Cryo Tank under way. Decided to switch out the hull though.
The Cryo tank is now on the T-34-85 hull instead of the Panzer 4. most of this change comes from rumors of a malcador inspired heavy tank the IG might get in the future (it being a rumor, im taking it with a spoon of salt)
I can still work the Pz4 into whatever I want in the end anyways.
The rumors also say something of crazy things like Knight Titans (another giant walker model like the riptide) and a dog fighter style aircraft. Will these be used in my army... possibly. As a giant bipedal war machine is easy to dream up, and the Panther fighter can be changed around to be the Dog fighter craft depending on the size. but im not going to go further then dreaming up concepts for either one until the IG dex drops and we find out what there actually is. I already have a concept for my own "Knight Titan" but again, plastic won't move until the dex drops.
ill get back soon.

The Cryo tank is built. I just needs its fuel trailer, ice effects, and paint.
I've seen a few suggestions on how to get ice on the tank. from hot glue or gel water effects to a few things. ill try them out and see if they are to my liking.
That's all for now. Ill get back soon as I try to get ice on the tank.

Update
The icing process is coming along with the Cryo Tank. the Water Effects stuff if pretty neat and it seems to be working so far. Perhaps I'm not doing it right in some places as its not going totally clear (or it hasn't been long enough). but the ice looks good (I think). I might dap some nuln oil on it or some really really light blue to give it a tad bit of color.
I tried 2 ways with the stuff. 1 was direct application with it forming around the pipes and coming out of vents and things where I tried my best to shape it into ice. the other was a way shown to me in a video where I make icicles on a sheet of non-stick wax paper then carefully remove the hardened (ish) water stuff and "glue" it onto the cryo cannon barrel like on the prongs and the pipes on the front. Heck if some of it doesn't turn out right I can shave it off, its cuts easily.
Either way Im liking how its turning out. My only fear at this point is how to transport him with the icicles? much like antenna and other bits they are likely to break at the smallest nudge (unless they retain a small degree of flexibility which would let them take blows). My only guess is to forgo a box and just carefully carry him around whenever he is called to battle, which should be fine as he won't see much action due to him being a Malcador (and them not being included in things like Escalation).. Oh well. still cool tank! (no ice pun's please....)
Plus blueprints. I said I already had an idea for a knight Titan (rumor not, I can't help but imagine a giant bipedal combat walker). Didn't want to lose it so....
Its crude I know (and I need to practice my drawing), but I kinda did it in a manner that could be constructed with plastic. like sprue for the cannons stock frame and a cover on either end with plasticard. Panzer 4 shells 75mm arranged in a long belt to an ammo drum (not shown). Its like a weird combo of a Titanfall Titan and a Tank.... or something... I dunno. true or untrue Rumor, I didn't want to lose the idea.
Perhaps ill put more blueprints to paper but I dunno. Ill get back soon as I can with progress on the Cryo Tank!.

"By Khorne, its hot out here" Trev complained wiping his brow, causing a quick retort from his commanding Chaos lord "Silence wretch, keep marching". Trev and his lot, a rough squad of cultists and commanding Chaos Lord were being sent to investigate an anomaly that had been sensed on the auspex only recently. As the group marched to their target it seemed only he really noticed the fact that the temperature was going down, despite the fact they were in the middle of a searing desert. As they continued the temperature began to further drop and the rest began to notice, looking around confused making sure they were still on the same hot rocky desert planet. "Hold fools" The Lord grumbled and the squad frozen in place, in the distance they could hear the rumbling of an engine and clanking of treads.
"Positions! prepare to fight in the name of Khorne!", the squad spread out on the rocks in the area to seek cover, ready to spring at the enemy and cut them down in the name of the Blood God. The temperature by then had plummeted and some of the men were beginning to panic as they could suddenly see their breath in such an environment. The Rumbling continued to get closer and the temperature continued to drop until a single massive tank roared from behind a rock outcropping turning to a stop facing the squad of chaos worshippers and their Lord.
The machine was covered in ice and dirty icicles hung from various parts of the machine and the long barrel of its weapon and triple prongs, even its trailer had ice covering the fuel tank.
"CHAAAAAAAARGE!! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!" the Lord roared like an insane animal prompting the squad to run screaming at the machine. The lascannon sponsons on the machine, if they could be called that, slued towards the tanks aggressors and opened fire. One crackled over Trev's head and vaporized a man behind him, the other fired and blasted a rock next to Trev causing it to explode from the force, blasting him away from the group and landing him in a heap. Trev looked up at the Ice covered tank and watched as it unleashed a thick bluish-white plume of fog or mist from its long barreled weapon and Trev felt the air temperature drop like he was suddenly plunged into the meat freezer back home as his favorite restaurant, the mist blanketed the area the men were charging into and as the group ran into the mist screaming they vanished in the fog and went silent. Even the roar of the Chaos lord had been snuffed out by the mist fired by the tank. As quickly as it came from the weapon the mist dissipated revealing what was inside. Trev's entire squad was frozen solid, their faces and bodies frozen in an eternal mad charge of glory, their faces screwed up in permanently stuck war cries. The machine gave a loud huff from its engine and the entire squad shattered like glass, pieces scattering everywhere on the frosty grounds.
Trev got up in a daze of disbelief, walking over to the still ice covered helmet of the Chaos Lord he had served, the ground crunching under his feet like splinters of icy glass. As he held it up it shattered in his hands, the pieces slid away as they crackled on the ground. Another grumbling huff from the machine brought Trev back to reality, turning to see the monstrous machine that had shattered his entire squad. A hatch on the top opened and the figure of a man clad in what looked to be a thick parka grabbed the storm bolter and pointed it at Trev. "S-s-s-s Surrender! In the n-n-name of the Emperor!" the man in the tank yelled through chattering teeth. Trev felt the rage that only Khorne could give him, so he believed. With a final roar he charged the Ice tank and the machine silenced him like it did the others with a freezing blast....
"Enemies eliminated c-c-command!" Lieutenant Moskvin chattered into the vox set. "Good, return to base, I expect to see a Test report on my desk before we move out tomorrow" the voice of Commander Andrews answered.
"Oh and try to chill out Moskvin, it was only a single squad."
"F-f-f-feth you command and your p-p-puns" Moskvin tried to chuckle into the vox set through chattering teeth.
The Cold Hearted B****, promptly turned around and crawled back over the rocks, the freezing air around it and its ammo trailer following it.
The remains of the enemy squad quickly thawed out in the desert heat as it returned, only leaving a bloody mess for anyone unlucky enough to find it.
Cryo Tank is done, I think.
The ice worked out really well I think. covering good portions of the vehicle, from the weapon's barrel itself, the lascannons, and portions of its pipes and from its vents. Ill build the ammo trailer eventually, ill get some treads from a bitz site to build it
Now, besides painting a few firestorm redoubt Lascannon turrets and armor plating the Macro cannon turret (all of which will be in their own picture), I think ill either start on the LVT5 or even the giant T28 Super Heavy/T95 GMC.

I recently had a shipment of bitz come in. The sides and treads of a chimera and LRBT as well as some other parts like a frontal lascannonfor a LR, missile launchers, mortars, comms equipment and a few other things.
Im not sure what I will do with the treads.
Current ideas are.
Basilisk with Coil Gun: wrap bands around the gun barrel for the magnetic coils with lots of wires and electrical equipment. The micro basilisk (a Wespe that's been modified) has been damaged and its no longer the right dimensions, it can be fixed but id rather not have to keep fixing it, so it would be best to replace it.
Manticore with large MRLS style Rocket battery (essentially 1 large box with 4 missiles in it)
LRBT with oscillating turret (look up French tanks. they have oscillating turrets some of them.)
Erradicator with Microwave emitter (originally was gonna be the Stuart tank, but I can't get around to build it and I don't know why)
I don't specifically need a certain unit at the moment so its up in the air.

Work continues. AS well as a personal first. Im working on a small project that had some semblance of planning.
What started as a small idea turned into the Triple treaded Leman Russ. My only guess is some design aspects might have come from tanks of various video games. Which ones exactly I am not sure. Very few tanks have tricycle style treads (1 central locomotor with 2 on the sides, usually at the front or rear for stability) or at least those I can remember....
As I drew it out I figured due to having a pair of LRBT treads I could build a Twin Pair of these Tri-Track Russ tanks. the first one currently being built has the battlewagon treads from the Dragon Wagon, whose trailer was heavily damaged by a cat shoving it off a shelf again and again.... Ill rebuild the trailer later, I still have the primary structure of it. The second will either have another pair of battlewagon treads (From a purchased battlewagon or from a bitz site) or will have some treads scratch built.
A small bit of fluff I figured I could do for the Twin tanks would be a reference to the Brothers Grimm (the giant monster trucks in Twisted Metal '12 which are a reference in themselves).
The tanks design came from a Forgeworld that was missing the LRBT and tried to quickly put together a design for a tank. But before the tanks could be put into mass production the LRBT STC arrived (or was authorized) so the forgeworld quietly sent the blueprints away to Schrott to be stored alongwith the only 2 prototypes. They were later recovered by twin sisters who are incredible competitive, having both set out to find their own tank to command (and out do the other). Ironically they found the roughly identical tanks, which only caused further feuds. Together they are the Sisters Grimm. Its kinda silly, but like I've said before I can scrap the fluff on a whim...
So far the hull is nearly done. the lascannon is in and the drivers side is in and its the same width as a normal LR, as I measured it to one of my "normal" hulled russes before bolting it together.
The turret and upper hull should be easy to build so the tank should be done soon, and the second one will be built when I get the secondary treads (or build them)

Tri Track Russ has finished construction (or the first one is done anyways).
It doesn't look exactly like the blueprint but it doesn't matter. Its close enough.
Ill work on its twin when I get the battle wagon treads.
 .
The Knights (apparently not titans) thing is interesting and I already have designs ready to roll. I only need to get their dimensions (and their rules) to start construction. In the mean time, the battlewagon treads have been ordered (alongside the entire lower hull of a baneblade) so Ill start on something else until I get either the bitz or the Knight rules.

Work continues and another shipment of bitz came in!! bunch of bitz which include the sides of a baneblade, battlewagon treads for the 2nd tritrack russ, and a few odds and ends like stubbers and storm bolters. Also. Tri-Track number 1 Is being painted. still needs some wash and roughing up to look good. Its sister tank should start construction at some point soon. the CRASSIUS ARMORED ASSAULT TRANSPORT LVT5 has started up finnaly. the treads, suspension and the primary hull have been built. It sonly a hallow shell right now, with no doors, vents or anything. Plan to get it auto cannons on the front and lascannon sponsons with some added bulk and armor. recently this little fella. the "Micro Basilisk" one of my early attempts at conversion has been damaged due to general wear and tear from being moved around, its little feet on the sides that made it the width of a chimera snapped off and instead of just gluing them on. I've decided to revamp and upgrade him and give him a proper chimera hull so he would be wide enough without needing little hard to miss stabalizers. From This (the little one on the left) To This. He fits perfectly between the treads really snuggly. Idea being it was damaged in battle then just driven between the treads of a chimera hull then welded down permanently. Ill have more wires and restraints on him soon but it seems to be working! I might extend the cabin on the back a tiny bit as well. I originally conceived of the vehicle being an advanced servitor or something, with a brain inside a small tank like chassis with cannon auto loader and such (hence the small compartment). It would be a rather "dumb" tank and followed orders to the letter but couldn't think beyond that. It could still be such a thing but redone and a bit better with the new chassis. Also now that I know how tall and what base the Knights sit on (6 inchs tall and flyer base), I can green light their construction If I get the initiative I will build 3. 1 errant (thermal cannon) and 2 paladin (battle cannon) to make a squad. But first I gotta finish Tri-Track #2, the Revamped Basilisk and the CRASSUS LVT5. They should go by quick if I can hunker down and get them done construction wise. Ill get back with progress when I can.

One of the Tri-Track Russes is totally done now.
This first one is Red and bears the name The Ruby Blade. You can figure out the more modern reference through the interwebs but the primary bit is Red Riding Hood (but in this case, no wolf would dare approach a young woman commanding a multi-ton armored war machine)
The other is going to another color (with the standard 91st, black, bronze and gun metal. The Red is usually Mechcanicus but its different in this case). Its probably going to be White. As in Snow White. Mind you its going to be a dirty white as no war machine would be clean for very long.
The Microbasilisk Revamp is finished in Construction (except 1 little thing on the rear, but its done overall). Still have no idea what to name it.
I think hes been bolted down into the Chimera hull well enough.
All he needs now Is that one piece and paint (of course).
The CRASSUS ARMORED ASSAULT TRANSPORT has not had much progress. since last time only a small turret with a stubber has been attached to the front (on the real machine its a turret on the front with a short barreled machine gun) and I have guys standing out of the hatchs, with a commander on the left side and another on the right (not sure if he would be the driver or what...) Ill get back with a picture when more progress has been done on the CRASSUS. Same with the 2nd Tri Track Russ.
I figured out what to do with the Baneblade tracks too. A Stormsword (I think that's what its called, I get the nameds confused). the one with the big Hellhammer Siege Gun. St 10 Ap (can't remember) No cover, super huge blast of "Go away you stupid Tau, cowarding behind the ADL and cover!!" awesomeness.
I think ill have a large gantry on its top to load the main gun. I drew it out on paper, so ill load that up at some point.

Microbasilisk Mk2 painted up and ready to go.
I can't figure a name for it right now, So fornow its the " MB Mk2".
The Ruby Blade Tri Track also has her name painted on, ill get the picture up later.
Im still surprised the Marder 3 (the original model) fits so snuggly inside the chimera hull.
I have a copy of the White Dwarf with the Knights in it. So I have the rules and a few references. At some point Ill try to build my first one. Not sure If ill complete the crassus before or after I start on the Knight.
The knight model is cool and all. but $140 is out of my price range unless its Christmas or my birthday, both of which are really, really far away!!

Got a mass army picture. new series taken yesterday. It has the Crassus in it that has had some progress. Side LC sponsons are on and the base plate for the frontal weapons is in.
Im running out of room. eventually I will need to either only do this at my local gaming store (which has plenty of tables that are much larger or are multiple tables end to end), or do it on the floor!
Crassus is the greenish one in the middle under the Harbinger.
Oh and I have a picture of some of my fortifications.
The Aquila Macro cannon is on the main table in the back.
The Knights won't start construction until I find myself some Chimera/hellhound parts. I want to have the Hellhound top end and thin turret to hold the secondary stubber on the knight (with the tertiary stubber mounted on the Battle Cannon rifle coaxially on a rail system), issue being parts are expensive and the only chimera hull I have is trashed and unusable. Getting a full Hellhound is expensive (I swear they are now the price of a full Leman Russ used to be while the Russ is now that of a Land Raider). Ill wait to get the pieces I need either from friends or perhaps hoard obits when I get some cash.
Ill get back when there is further progress with the CRASSUS

The semester is practically over so I got some time to build.
First up. the CRASSUS ARMORED ASSAULT TRANSPORT.
Which I've named the Sunderer. Armed with frontal auto cannons , heavy stubber turret and lascannon side sponsons it has heavy armor and firepower. All to deliver troops to their destination.
Im not sure if its the same size as a CRASSUS but from pictures on Forgeworld comparing it to a chimera, the LVT5 seems roughly close to it. perhaps a tad longer.
I also have this
Its going to be the torso for my custom Knight. Because I don't have $140!!
The heavy long barreled stubber is in the front of the hull with the "turret" having the sensors attached, which would be controlled by the MIU the pilot would wear Im hoping to have 3 in total at the end. roughly modeled after the TItanfall Titans. The Mark 1 (this one) will be the "Atlas" which is the jack of all trades machine. the Mark 5 will be the heavy weight holding a thermal cannon and the Mark 7 will be the thin and fast one (fluff wise anyways)
THe hull itself is 2 inchs tall (counting the "turret"), so that leaves 4 inchs for the legs and lower torso. Either way this should be interesting to build. hopefully won't get distracted!

Quick note: I read somewhere Forgewolrd will be making the other Knight variants at some point. Hopefully their data in imperial armor will come out before I get to the Mark 7 a Knight Lancer would be perfect for it. Plus I want the heavier Castellian or whatever it's name is, it's armed with big lascannons and a quake cannon.

Work on the Mark 1 continues. Bolted together the lower torso and leg mounts as well as covered over the hull interior. I have a piece of paper somewhere where I traced out the size of a proper knights base but I can't find it, I think I left it in my paints box. Anyways
Compared to a Guardsmen. The Sunderer CRASSUS in the back will be further painted Thursday.
The piece of landing gear the torso is sitting on is only holding it up as it can't stand freely. I think it came from a stormraven or something.
Ill get back when I start up the Legs. Ill do the arms and armament last

As Andy crawled his way into the interior of the machine everything was pitch black aside from the light funneling through the hatch, he had to feel his way around the controls, and pilots seat.
"Hold a sec, the cogboys will get the lights." a voice echoed from outside the hatch.
A loud mechanical thud, echoed from outside the machine's body only for a low humming to come to life inside with a few lights flickering on. In the sparse light provided Andy could see the pilots chair and its mess of cables snaking into the floor below him, the helmet resting on the top of it with a myriad of screens and dials infront of it.
"Ok now just hop in the chair and we'll get everything started up" The voice now spoke from inside the machine from a small vox emitter inside the helmet.
falling into the chair, Andy found that despite its age and military origin... it was actually comfortable, for however comfortable the pilots chair of a multi-ton war machine could be.
"Put the helmet on" the voice commanded.
Andy took up the helmet, feeling its heft from the jumble of cables sticking out of the back and gently placed it on his head.
"There you are" the voice said as the screens before him came to life, showing a middle aged man dressed in a partial uniform of the 91st Schrott at a large console surrounded by Tech preists and adepts busily working around him, fixing things with incantations and bolting things together with mystical words. The man waved and Andy sheepishly waved back, "so can you see me? hear me in this tin can on legs?" Andy spoke into the helmets vox, giving the side of the helmet a hit with his palm to see if it could help make it work.
"No, and Yes." The man replied, leaning down and speaking into a vox phone. "Now, the cogboys are going to do some rights and double check everything before the test, so sit tight. I think the thing might have a music player in it"
At this one of the tech priests made a motion with his head Andy believed to be like rolling ones eyes. If someone actually put a music player in this machine then someone would have to answer to Magos Desat.
"If you need anything just let me know, the name is Jerry"
"really?"
"no..."
After some time, the metal doors behind Jerry opened with a hiss and 2 figures strode through. Andy immediately realized who they were, he had seem them on posters all around Schrott and in war reports on the Vision Set before he joined the 91st. The left figure was tall and heavily built with a small green cat perched on his shoulder, an enourmous pistol and power sword strapped to his sides, was Commander Andrews, lead CO of the 91st, the Red Robed one to his right was Magos Desat, the ruling Mechanicus over the 91st itself, she hid herself with her robes and Andy could not see much of her, but even within the giant mechanical beast he could feel an air of authority from her.
Jerry and the Tech preists spun about and each in their own way acknowledged their commanders, Jerry snapping to attention with a salute to Andrews and the Tech Adepts bowing and chanting Desat's name in acknowledgement.
"What's the status, Jerry? we gonna see this thing walk or what?" Commander Andrews said coolly
"Yes-Yes sir!" Jerry stammered spinning back around to the console "Okay, the Tech preists will engage the MIU in a sec, this is going to feel REALLY weird, so don't panic"
"The machine doesn't have its arms yet so... you'll.. well... feel like you have no arms... so there that too... anyways.."
One of the Tech priests began chanting in ernest and the rest followed suit as they pluged in wires, turned dials and frantically worked the console around jerry.
"Ok, get ready in... 3.....2...1...mark"
The plug in the helmet plugs clean into the MIU socket on the back of Andys head, in an instant he felt as if his body fell away, leaving him numb to everything around him. With a jolt everything came back but he could feel nothing of his arms and he felt as if he had been put back together backwards. But the feeling subsided quickly and everything turned back around correctly, except for the total lack of feeling in his arms.
"You okay in there?" the disembodied voice of jerry spoke, not from the headset in the helmet but more... inside his head.
"Yeah, im okay" Andy managed to say.
"All systems green, the machine spirits are happy it seems"
Andy suddenly felt the presence of another in his head, he guessed it was the war machines machine spirit itself. it felt like if someone was looking down on him, sizing him up before leaving satisfied.
The screens infront of his eyes became a blur as he could suddenly control the upper turret as if it here his own head, the sensors as his eyes and ears to the world.
"Ok, I need you to take the weight on you legs and get ready to walk, take it slow, its like learning to do it all over again."
Andy felt his feet touch the ground and the weight of the rest of the machine fall into place. Slowly he lifted a foot and in a distant place he could hear the hiss of hydraulics and whir of electrical motors around him.
"Steady" Jerry's voice said
As Andy's foot landed he felt the entire weight of the machine rest on it, the sensors on the machine told him of the stillness of everyone around him, he could see everyone in the room watching him.
With a deep breath he lifted his other leg and set it down, the machine stood up proudly, no longer held up by chains and cables.
The room erupted in cheers and praise of the Omnissiah and Emperor.
Andy quickly got used to his "new body" and began to shuffle about the chamber, but never straying to far from the gantry where the machine was once suspended. Each step and action heralded more cheers and praise.
"So what do you think?" Commander Andrews said turning to Magos DeSat.
Her face emerged from behind her red hood, revealing raven black hair and bright green eyes. "This should be fun." she said, her cybernetic eyes glinting.
Im really excited about the Knight as I get to building it. Its my first standing model and plus.... Its a giant robot. Its REALLY COOL to me. Plus its something I would have never attempted when I started building all my tanks and troops.
Both legs are on the machine, they are not fully armored and detailed but ill get to that. Posing the machine may be a hassle as the legs are a hair off but Im sure with debris or manipulating the base surface I can get the machine to stand up straight and look good. Ill get to the Arms and gun soon.
As for the long fluff. IM no super writer but like building the tanks and such I find it fun to imagine it all.

The robot is ready. I finnaly built the arms on it and bolted them on.
When building the arms, I made a slight miscalculation on their length or postion on the body so I had to build a large side handle into the gun but I think it works just fine. COuld use the leverage to cut through things with the bayonet chainsaw.
Its shoulder plates consist of a piece of an Aiegis defens line that I happened to have (I dunno where it came from, must have been from a bitz trade) and some armor plate from a german tank. the smoke launcher on the shoulder plate has been removed before posting this.
I still need to add minor details like additional armor plates on the arms and thing as well as more stuff on the base. the base and paint.
hopefully Ill get it all done before the 25th then im headed on a trip to England and part of the trip is to see the the Bovington Tank museum and other things.
the Mk 1 is heavily armed with a Stubber in the torso slaved to the pilots head movement, the Cannon is carries is unique as it fires pulses of energy to allow the machine to run on its reactor as opposed to use clips of ammo (in short, I was going to have a long ammo belt but that was a nightmare to build so I dropped it) and along the side rail of the Cannon is another stubber for anti infantry work. underneath the barrel of the cannon is the massive chainsword that with the combined might of the hydraulic muscle of the machine and energy field around the blades it can cleave a tank in half or remove parts from a larger foe.

The "Mark 1" is complete. Construction wise.
thre is nothing major on the body itself save for a few minor armor bitz and a vent or other piece, most of the new stuff is on the debris on the base.
To scale it should be roughly the same dimensions of a Knight Paladin. Maybe give or take a few MM as its hard to do exactly by hand. Standing tall over the tiny guardsmen and even the mighty Baneblade I had a lot of fun creating him.
The crushed debris under his foot was to compensate for an error in the legs but after some tinkering and greenstuff I managed to have him crushing the back end of some poor enemy chimera with a dead or nearly dead crew member crawling out.
the left foot in fact sits on top of the loading door with part of the hull infront of it.
Ill get back with paint at some point. Hopefully before I leave for England on the 25th. Won't hear from me until maybe the 9th of july.

The "Crassus Armored Assault Transport" is complete. Now its named the Sunderer, Super Heavy Assault Transport. The name Sunderer coming from the giant "bus" that runs around on Auraxis in Planetside (1 and 2), its name often shortened to "Sundy".
Armed with autocannons on its front, lascannon sponsons and a stubber mounted in a tiny turret on its top, its built to smash its way through enemy lines to deploy troops where needed, its steely eyes and teeth painted on its front leading the way.
Also the Mk1 has had some progress with painting.
Besides a few details like some pistons in the middle leg joints and things, its overall nearly complete. I also need to add the rocks and dirt to the base.
I got a chance to sit him next to a GW Knight today and my Mk 1 is just as tall as the GW Knight, give or take a MM or 2. I had a picture of them together but it came out blurry. Ill get back eventually with a better one (after I get back from England).
I also managed to nab 2 used rhino chassis for $24 too. 1 razorback priced at $20 that my guess is had only recently had been stripped of paint, as it smelled funny and some small bitz of paint were still visible and a Rhino that had warped from heat damage (I think) that I managed to negotiate from $12 down to $4. The warped rhino will be scrapped for its treads and likely turned into terrain as a wrecked vehicle or something, the damage is to extensive to salvage the chassis for a proper fighting machine. the Razorback im not sure, but I can use its lascannons for another project. Perhaps It could be made into a Wyvern?
