Well...I hadn't really expected to get excited about this release, but I am. The wolves and TWC look great...the only complaint I have about the Wolf Lord is his silly face (he looks like a dwarf). Fortunately, Finecast makes that an easy swap.

I don't like all the round shields...there should be a mix. I love all the bits that they crammed into the TWC sprues...whoever was complaining about bolters...shut up and use them on your GH

Arjac's shield is way too small...Fortunately, I have a friend who is going to give me the shield from the master of the watch and I'm going to stick Arjac's shield over the top of that.

On the subject of bringing models up to scale, I have established at a millimetre or so of greenstuff on the soles of the boots and a few bits of other tinkering to increase apparent height was enough to make the slightly stunty 3rd Edition Captain Stern equal in height to his plastic 5th Edition chums, so I presume that a similar procedure would bring Ragnar et al into proportion, possibly with a bit more to elongate their pauldrons (or some butchery to swap their arms for new plastics).

Off topic, but do you know of a good tutorial on how to do this?

Sadly, no. Since I have a few 2nd Edition-era Chaos miniatures awaiting the same treatment, I shall endeavour to take a few pictures and scribble down a brief tutorial when I get around to them. Even without guidance, I found it fairly easy to do by eye, simply by comparing dimensions.

Cool. Well, if you get around to it, I'll be interested in taking a look.

Arrgh, my biggest issue with GW is the lack of scale on some models I.e. SW or any version of Space...
I know the marines are supposed to be anywhere from 8-9 feet even with big lugges monster kicking boots on.
I just hate that they are almost the same size as Imp Guard.
GW really did a good job of putting together a cohesive line with all heights within a certain parameter, bit I'd like to see them towering over humans.
