Aside from being bored of painting red, how do you feel about all these tau? Not to sound rude, but they seem a little less inspired than your other works. Is farsight starting to wear on you yet? The pops of grey look great in contrast to the blocks of red.

I quite like the Farsight Enclaves scheme and there's loads more to come so it's lucky I'm not bored of it yet.

I wasn't sure if the red from the Blood Angels was going to work with the lava bases but I think we've pulled it off.

It's not commission work but there's a Fantasy tournament coming up in my area in a few months so I thought that would be a good excuse to paint up a Dark Elves army.

@LutherMax: The Dark Riders are quite quick to paint but the Bloodwrack Shrine/ Cauldron of Blood is a whole different story. It's got so many nooks and crannies that you really have to paint those in stages and then assemble them when it's finished. Definitely increases the amount of time spent.

Very clean and sharp! Are the bases on the infantry staying black? I quite like the contrast as the models themselves are colourful but the larger models seem to have more tone - grey / brown etc.

Can they be detached from the 40mm bases to be used on the Space Hulk board?

@Luthermax: They're really great fun to paint, so many little details! These one's can't be detached from the bases as the client was only going to be using them for 40k.
