That jet is turning my mek even greener with envy.

Yup, I invested in about 300 bendy straws, in 3 sizes, for all my industrial piping needs.

Markers come in a wonderful array of sizes and are very inexpensive. Cheaper and easier than keeping various diameters of PVC or Brass around.

I've already have bits and concepts for 2 more DakkaJets. One looking like the Ork version of a X-Wing and the second a flying saucer.

i´ll be looking forward to these new dakka jets then... sounds like great fun ahead^^

Viktor, I have you to blame for my Flying saucer inspriation.

I went for a more traditional cone nose for the new dakkajet. Thinking of adding teeth to it as well, making it more in line with the GW model.

The original dakkajet has new bits on the jet intakes.

The third thing is what I am thinking of using for the chassis for my flying saucer dakkajet.

the flying saucer one tho reminds me strongly of a cylone spaceship... that earns you extra points

For the saucer, I decided I needed to cut into the top canopy to fit in the pilot. The decision was between UFO bubble top or Necron Scythe open top. I decided since the whole flying saucer concept is tongue in cheek to begin with, that I might as well go all the way and use a transparent bubble top.

will this UFO later on me armed?

the transparent bubble top looks very good... will it be all glas or will you add metal stripes?

Oh yeah, to be a proper dakkajet it needs at least 3 sets of twin linked heavy guns.

I don't know about the dome yet. I was thinking of trying to detail the interior and let it show throught the dome.

that would certainly be a new way to get things done... one of these days i need to make a transparent canopy too... just to get it over with as i always fear my paintjob then would ruin the model... as you cant really redo transparent stuff after you messed it up...

Watched the first one and a half seasons of Breaking Bad and whipped up two random pieces of terrain while doing so. I built and took photos of an Ork Guard Tower and a radar dish, but haven't uploaded them because every time I sat at the PC I just ended up watching more Breaking Bad. I hope to have some pics of the new stuff up inthe next 24 hours.

I don't find Breaking Bad particularly violent. In the first season only two deaths, in the second season only one so far. What makes it shocking is that the main characters are good guys pushed to the breaking limit, and they start making all the wrong choices for all the right reasons. To use a Star Wars analogy, it's like watching a Jedi slowly succumb to the Dark Side.

That really reminds me of the electric cannons from godzilla movies. neat.
