Not where I should be

Totally love the heavy walkers bud, Stompa looks possibly a little small, but great work, really wonderful vibe to it, and inspiring stuff. The Gorkanaut is brilliant, and looks pretty spot on ( main body seems to come out at 12cm front to back, 6cm wide and 13 cm tall for reference.) Would love to see them painted up, and more as soon as possible, I need more inspiration.

That is looking awesome! and that is of the right size, and has that Orky look, will you add rust and grime to it for that special orky touch?

Got in a few games of 40K. Actually got to use my Stompa and Monoliths.

Haven't got any additional work done on the Gorkanaut, but I did bang together a much needed shelf to store my big models on.

It comes down to me really wanting to play Orks, Tyranids, and Necrons, and Necrons needing just paint, while Tyranids and Orks need to build and paint.

Working on Necrons at the moment. Just bought another unit of 5 Deathmarks, and base coated 3 Monoliths.

Figured I would build a few lists and then focus on the models needed for those lists, and get a few games under my belt to try them out.

Things I've learned so far....

The Ork Stompa is better in Assault, despite having more than a half dozen heavy ranged weapons.

20 Strong Units of Necron Warriors are a trap. 4+ armor is easly shredded and if 10+ or so die, the rest will fall in morale/battle/shock phase, BEFORE anyone gets to test for reanimation protocols.

A 10 strong unit of flayed ones infilicts an average of 6.67 wounds on MEQ units on the charge, which is more than enough to wipe out MSU units of Marines and scouts, or cripple Primaris Squads. They also do an average 3.33 wounds to those pesky back field Devastator Centurions.

Nice work on Gorkanaut.

Sounds like you've played quite a few games. The morale phase can be brutal, no wonder games are quicker in 8th!

My ability to buy miniatures vastly outpaces my ability to build and paint minaitures.

This Week.
Assembled 60 termagants and 5 Deathmarks.
Bought another Dark Imperium and Dark Vengeance.
Drew plans for Industrial building terrain, and a Necron Imperial Bastion equivelant.

While trying to organize my miniatures collection better, I keep finding Ork and Necron models that I had aquired and forgotten about.

This is what I've been up to the last few days.

Started with this image.

Printed it out. Cut it out, then glued it to a cereal box.

I notched where the folds were, then flipped it over. Next, I took a ruler and pen and scored the fold line on the back.

Fold and glue.

We've been playing with 30+ cargo containers and they are indeed great.

They block line of sight, stack for additional height, can be stacked in various configurations, easy to put models on, etc..

We've been counting them as hills, so they don't grant cover for being on top of them.

I love your stuff and your scratch building skills. The stomp looked great, and I think your new gorkanaught looks even better. I'm going to have to try out a lot of the cool stuff you made for your nids, when I get around to starting that army. Keep up the great work

Really love the work you do. It is giving a lot of ideas for once I'm through with college.

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

Gaming group has their heats set on Necromunda..so I headed off to the bank.

Okay, Okay, My bank is located in a shady part of the Underhive and I got those sheets for one tenth their face value.

Just don't tell the other Gangs that...

I have a fairly good-sized collection of Russian made Technolog Bronepehota/Robogear models that have just been sitting in a box for years. Found them again while cleaning and decided that I needed to make good on that investment and do something with these models. Since a good chunk of them were cyborgs, I decided to go with Adeptus Mechanicus.

Still early along in the conversion process, but I've worked out a 2,000 point army list around the models I had in my collection.

So to start off with, I needed a Tech Priest Enginseer.

Had another of the same figure, so I figured a second Tech Priest Enginseer wouldn't hurt.

Also, had another box full of HulkBusters so I figured I could use some Kastelan Robots.

Need a Datasmith to program them

Decided I'm going to run a half dozen bare bones five man squads of Skitarii

Didn't mention it before, but I've been waiting to field Electro Priests since the 2nd Edition Black Codex. I was a bit disappointed when they finally made it to 40K that they had a retail of about $8 each, and I couldn't justify buying the 40-60 of them I wanted to field. Until GW repackages them cheaper, or I luck into a bargain, I'll settle for 20 of these cyborg killing machines.

Lol...I own a respectable amount of the footsloggers of robogear too...never thought about turning them into ad mech.
For me I just wanted a simple retro looking robot army...what I did was flip the torsos tho... they look a bit less human then but still humanoid bipedal convincing enough...but I guess for your needs they're good enough the way you did them...

I'm still envious of the hulkbuster models...

Hulkbusters you say...

I couldn't justify the cost of a GW Admech Army, when I have such a backlog of unbuilt and unpainted models. This way I'm putting that backlog to use.

Thanow for the link...so essentially they are Lego from what I see? Cool...

Conversionwork looks very good... I'm eager to see them at least primed now...what about some posing tho?

Posable? Look at that Posability!

I had contemplated cutting them at the elbows and building new elbow joints. Sill might. The arms are pretty easy to snap in and out, so working on them later would be easy.

Added a scratch built servo arm to the hooded Techpriest

good looking priest...

the busters look still a bit stiff...but "we are robots"... so probably quite to the point^^

that link unfortunately didnĀ“t yield any possibilities for me as Germany was banned by the retailer...funny,eh?^^

No Admech Army would be complete without Grand Daddy B Cawl.

Seriously, wasn't going to try and kitbash that guy. The only human thing on him is part of his face. Everything else is mechanical limbs and robes.

Have some new prototypes of Kataphron Destoyers

I have 6 of the Blue Bodies, 3 of the Green Bodies, and 5 of the Big Guns.

Cheers and greetings from Canada! My older brother lives in Braintree and uncle in Brighton.

Scratch building is a blast!

I had a lot of fun turning old models in a cohesive unit, refurbishing IG / AM Leman Russ tanks... gotta put in PLOG together yet!
