This month had so much content potential that about 80% of it ended up on the editing room floor, so it wouldn't be difficult for them to fill a magazine back up if they were cutting chunks out of it.

As of Thursday morning though, August white dwarf hasn't been sent to the printers. The drop date on that is Friday.

The only rumor for Chaos aircraft is for something like a biomechanical dragon. GW hasn't been redoing Forgeworld stuff lately anyway.

A few months away? That's not really hard to figure out. If Chaos is September or August and we're getting rumors in July, it's only reasonable that we'll get DA rumors about a month or so before they come out.

YAY! I was pretty bummed about not having a codex until September at the earliest, or Oct/Nov, but next month, and some new models as well?!?! The car fund will suffer because of this.

While reading this exciting post about CSM, i cracked open the codex and a story cought my eye and gave me hope that they hopfully will fix this imbalence between CSM and SM. And by that i mean drop pods.. It clearly states on pg 28 in the little story there that CSM have drop pods...so why not. With all the buzz about new CSM stuff, i choose to hope for drop pods. it would be so easy to make a sprue and throw it in the already made box and let us do the rest. and the new flying modle sounds cool, probaly will have 2 battle cannos, highly inacurate and the crazy table from the dreadnought hahahah. that sounds about right to me.

I'm hoping to see something 3.5esque. The first chaos codex I got was that one with an ebay purchase. i read it and was incredibly excited. I went to a game and heard, "oh, you're using the old codex", so I bought the most recent one. Was a little sad. I think only having followers of one of the gods should have bonuses.

I started with the 4th ed chaos codex. Its still fun to play but long overdue for an overhaul. I am really hoping that defilers were redone so that they are more reliable. They should be a match to the blood angels furioso dread. The update to the carrying capacity for the Chaos Landraider will be nice, as would an update of the points cost for vinidcators. Mostly i am just hoping that they do a great job of overhauling the Mark system. paying 50pts for the mark of nurgle makes taking small units a lot pricier. Here is to hoping that it is redone as a per model upgrade like the cybork body is for orks.

I suspect that if we get 'zerkers on Bloodcrushers, they will be an option for a Khorne HQ. That'd be cool, though I'm not sure I'd be playing anything Khorny.

In light of the update on 7/19....

Soooo, screw Tau? I mean...for being one of the oldest codex's out, there sure is a whole lot of stuff coming out before them.I for one hope that prediction is off.

That and Black Templar. Granted, even though Black Templar are a little older I think, they really don't need it as bad, seeing as how they are Spess Mahreens and everything...

I too hope this is just off....Tau/ eldar need it more. BT might not be getting a new codex. I say this because, in the back of the rulebook, where it shows the models. Every SM army has its own section. BT is put with Codex:SM.

I know its not alot to go by, but thats my 2 cents.

I woudl have thought so. they can just as easily use most of the normal SM kits with some special DA additions.

so i would guess they would get maybe some new IC/SC sculpts, Maybe a rework on Ravenwing and/or deathwing kits. Maybe a "veteran" kit with some of the cowls and cloaks and stuff that DA seem to liek so much. I'm guessing they will also gets some snazzy unique wargear options in their dex as well liek the other "unique" chapters do.

No really sure on DA fluff - do they field anything that no-one else does? Anything akin to BA Death Company or Furioso Dreads etc?

I'm pretty sure it is because they are both marines. BT are way to different from C:SM to warrant falling into the same book. BA are closer that BT to C:SM. I also am not so sure that tau and eldar got hosed that badly in 6th. I mean some of the armies that they can ally with make them pretty decent. BT, while they can ally with IG, don't do that well since they pay the same cost as vanilla marines, don't get frag or krak, or a bolter and pistol, or combat tactics or squads, or even proper typhoons. Now BT can be fixed with a few erratas and be perfectly playable again.

I can see DA getting the Space Wolf Treatment

Full on kit for PA and Terminator, not just conversion sprue

They (and Grey Knights

) also need the Mortis Dreadnought (I hope they have both dual autocannons and dual heavy bolters, HB mortis dreads are so cool), so plenty of DA stuff there

Unless every GK player in the world needs 3-6 more Psyriflemen in addition to the 3-6 that they already own, I can't really see what you're saying.
