Having beaten Borderlands Pre Sequel I'm hoping to get more time in on Payday 2 with all the new stuff. The new talent tree was a bit of a shock, but I decided to stick mostly Ghost since I like going silent. Still, picked up the skill that let's me pick up items while in casing mode, which seems huge for certain maps. Sadly, the Ghost skill that gives an extra body bag does not stack with the ... new talent tree whose name I forget's skill that ALSO gives an extra body bag. Was hoping to start with three for maps like Art Gallery/Framing Frame.

The new skill tree is an interesting one, I've only put a few points into it, mostly because getting a movement speed bonus when using steel sights? feth yes!

It's worse on overkill, which probably wasn't the best difficulty to try it on first. Got to the control room on our fourth attempt with only me and the enforcer left. I blow open the door and there's a bloody skulldozer in there, nice to know it wasn't just us who got a bulldozer inappropriate for the difficulty. Suffice to say we wiped about five seconds later. But yeah was a really enjoyable heist, and the money and xp are pretty sweet.

Day One of the heist is a real buster if everyone isn't with the program, namely staying with the van and always moving forward. People fall behind they get surrounded and die fast because the van is the best cover you'll get. Day 2 is way easier. The Money and exp for the mission are insane.
Best answer to the Skulldozer; Someone with e HE Sweeper ready to stun lock it. Honestly, every crew imo should have at least one member with an HE Sweeper. It's too damn useful not to bring it imo. Especially with the new maps seemingly increasing Taser spawns. Pretty much mandatory for smooth Deathwish Runs (along with C4 and Inspire).
Also, who's tried Akimbo? Personally, I'm hoping that it's just a glitch that no skill bonus' apply to them (namely the stability boosts and MM pistol skills). Just two plain pistols with a massive stability nerf is not particularly useful (and then on the tail end of the SPAS' final introduction being a complete let down). Naked Berreti's are useless. Crosskills and Deagles pass, but I'm not really sure why anyone would take them over assault rifles except for a longing to be in a John Woo movie.

I've given guns akimbo a go before putting everything into Armourer for the time being. Guns akimbo is.. okay, but nothing stellar or super useful. It's fun for showing off or when you're doing a heist that's easy and doesn't require a lot of serious thought. Only good thing is the insane high rate of fire on the Crosskills and Beretta's, other than that, not doing it for me as I had hoped.
I mean, I can move at a regular speed with steel sight now, so taking point and double-tapping just got a whole lot more interesting for me. That's our next move, try and tackle it on Overkill, though two of our guys need to respec first, the reset of all skills came as a bit of a surprise to them and they wanted to jump in ASAP. But playing through it with a Ghost-Mastermind, a jack of all trades and two Tech-forcers (one with ammo, I went with trip mines for doors) made for a great experience. Oh yes. Getting a good Akimbo build with the Pistol perks is super heavy on your skill points. I basically have all my stuff invested into MM and Fugitive to make it work (my only real utility is that I got Inspire Aced, which will be useful).

Shouldn't have started playing Payday 2. Wife's enjoying it..maybe...to much. But we always play together, so that's awesome.

Yeah. I used to be annoyed at the old doge builds, because they just weren't good, but with the new Perk Decks and the adjustments to the skill trees a Combat Suit has become very practical, if intensive on your resources. The hardest part of my current build has been keeping my concealment under 25 while keeping a useful secondary.

Beretta 9 for secondary ftw. If you got the AT DLC, get the Gruber Kurz. Good concealment, super precise. Akimbo is just amazing. You can literally run up against a Bulldozer and down it with a few shots. Not having armor is good for your playstyle as well as you will automatically go in cover all the time whereas armor might tempt you to go out in the open with a false sense of security. 60% dodge is aweseome. Full rogue deck.

While I'm not full Fugitive, I did pump points into "Run and Gun" because move speed bonus aside, being able to move at regular speed while using steel sights is just fething awesome.

I did try guns akimbo for a bit before my perks get reset again (I really need to write down the current loadout, because as soon as Clover gets her release we'll see another reset) and while it is a lot of fun, it does require you to really rework your skills to an extreme degree to make the most of it.

Yeah. I like fugitive but Fugitive has a serious problem in that it's lower tiers are filled with trash abilities. Climbing ladders faster. Really?
The top three tiers, are pure GOLD. Every single one of those abilities is amazing in some way, but the tax you pay to get them quickly grows.

Kinda hard for me to do, as I'm a dedicated technician and I'm also very much sold on the enforcer bits where I can take more damage and bring along a saw. I'm not that big on waiting for drills to finish.

Yeh. You don't need the Medpack Ace either aka 4 more packs. Not a fan of body bags either. I still got the 1 pt faster climbing perk, be it just to ask my wife to watch HOW FAST I climb that latter in Go Bank.

I do have the body bag perk as it is useful on some maps (namely Election Day Day 2), and it helps in Framing Frame not to have to go all the way back to the roof to refill your bags, but unless you stealth frequently, there is no need to spend the points.
The ability to move for 6 seconds after being hit though, is so damn useful. And in the case of having a grenade launcher or LMG, kind of hilarious (maybe not the LMG, but definitely a shot gun with HE rounds)

I wonder: if you get the "Don't die but get 6 seconds before actually going down" [Hard to kill?] perk and are the last living member in the Escape Zone, will you get to escape or will you count as being down and thus not trigger the escape?

Lasers are fine for when you've aced Iron Man, when mobility and a base of fire are required, but other than that, I always use the Speculator Sight. I'm drowning in those.
edit.
Though if you really do need to use a laser, always try and take the combined module, which may sound silly, but some jobs do have their dark spots where a flash light might be handy.
