I don't think I've been this stumped by the Rumour Engine before
Its a baby vampire in the curtains of a window or a door (you can see the arch along the side). What's to be stumped by?
Baby vampire, sure. But where you see curtains others see a beard. What you call an arch may just as easily be part of the phantom giant of the opera's mask.
... what?
how does the phantom of the opera come into anything?
Because the phantom's mask only covers one side of his face and the thingy in the picture is also only on one side?
Because the picture is left justified and clipped on the right. Out of frame is not non-existent.

Given how a good amount of Rumour Engines for things get posted a year and then some in advance, and the Cursed City expansion was delayed by a lot and Cursed City dissapeared and came back, shouldn't we have most of the Rumour Engines for the expansions by now?

Not necessarily. It depends when GW knew the CCsnafu happened.
'Don't put these pics up, use these instead' is a very simple thing.
Now that they're sure they can get the stuff out, they can go back and put up the various images.
Presumably because the order isn't set in stone, so if they want to change it - for instance, if they're unclear that a product will be released, like CC expansions after the initial botch - then they can do.
Now it is confirmed that said expansions will be happening, they can put the teases back into the feed.

Either way whatever it is, looks rather huge, given how it's beard fits an entire little dude - perhaps an expension in the vein of the Dreaded Ambull? With a vampire giant rampaging through Ulfenkarn or something.

An undead giant would be so cool.
It looks kinda Soulblight to me (are the number of digits on the hand a clue? Are there any established races with Nightcrawler hands?)

Who says we don't? Some of the older rumours could still be related to Cursed City...

Your argument is flawed. You can continue the curvature of the arch both outside the picture (green) and inside it (red):
The red one has the benefit of aligning with the symmetry of the hair. The green one does not. Based on that I don't find it likely that it is clipped on the right any more than on the left.

Baby vampire might be similar in size to a Cherub if the skull is any indication. If so, yeah, we're looking at something exceeding ogre size and more in giant territory.
No idea if that's a reasonable model to use in Cursed City.
Nehekhara lives! Sort of!
Why is the rum always gone?

Spoiler:
Speculating but possible contenders...
The vulture from there is from the Chaos Knight that was shown in part in the new year preview thingy.

You think that skull... stops existing at the eye socket?
The photograph is really obviously clipped.

I don't necessarily think it is big, directly above the bab is that not a chin?
Looks to me like this is a papoose for the critter and its some sort of witch maybe? A staff in one hand and an outstretched hand casting a spell in the other?
Edit: although I do hope it's an undead giant because that would be awesome.

I mean, we have a skull for a size comparison. Assuming it is a beard, it's probably larger than an ogor. AOS has the opportunity to make so many new races, like ogroids, fimiroid, etc, so it could be something completely out of left field

The bit to the left reminds me of a hockey stick as muchbas a frame, I can see it being a big crude weapon.

I'd have to agree as what I thought was a doorframe on the side could easily be the braided hair that is on that sculpt.
I was always a fan of that model, I look forward to him returning and wrecking that horse faced dufus Kragnos.

I agree that it looks like an explosive lance, but what are the odds of it being a necromunda ash wastes thing, and not some form of rough/death riders?
chaos0xomega wrote: Its either Rough or Death Riders - its a different design from what FW Death Riders had, which gives me hope for Rough Riders.
Actually, IIRC the Death Riders didn't have the explosive lances, but Rough Riders did?
The Death Riders, in the original IA: Vraks Volume One had CCWs+Laspistols, with the options to buy Hunting Lances--copypasted from the Rough Rider options.
Who cares its awesome regardless. Until the price for the kit comes out and it contains like 3 dudes

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units." Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?" Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?" GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!" Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.
Here's the image from the Ork codex that is why I keep mentioning Death Riders rather than Rough Riders.
No reason they couldn't give both rough riders and death riders though (presumably as separate kits). I mean, DKoK are already redundant with Cadians and Catachans, same unit just with different aesthetic, no reason that can't follow through to cavalry units too.
