Anyone heard about an Dwarf zeppelin kit? Perhaps I'm just not searching right.

Anyhow, here is where I saw it first, the new picture from the GW site regarding the release of the 8th edition

I agree with master, but it would be really cool if it was an actual peice they were going to release. I'm looking to start WHFB when the new intro set comes out but if the dwarfs get a zepplin I may have to pick them over skaven.

We're Skaven, we'll just try to steal one(Gotrek and Felix novels) or make our own(Vermintide).

I agree the pic looks scratch built. If GW does do the large size fantasy kits on the level of the 40k Baneblade, I think a Dwarf Blimp would be the right size and sort of thing for them.

Looks like something that would be fairly easy for a scratchbuild.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

I heard about something in the new book that lets you design your own warmachines, perhaps its to do with that?

There are stats and rules for dwarf airships in the book. The book has a tremendous amount of stuff in it. One part shows some huge battles, with some amazing terrain, and pieces like the dwarf airship. Stats for some of them are on following pages.

So happy to finally have the book and be able to go through it. Game is looking very solid, although different than it was obviously. Quite a few sections are very well worded and unambiuous, and work their way through the possible outcomes in a logical manner.

Feels a lot better than previous rules sets. We'll see, as proof will be in the playing.

Which starts tonite for me. Going to get one in with a friend after we close up the shop.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Runnin up on ya.

I would hope it's tight....being 500+ pages and all. That's a massive book/tome.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

Dumbasses didn't even put enough trolls to gain their new horde rule.

ForgeWorld produced a very large Drawf Zepplin a while back did they not?

It makes sense since FW took down all their fantasy experimental rules... Does this mean my FW Chaos Dragon/Mammoth are possibly legal ?!?!

It has T6, W10, 10 crew with dwarf stats and has 5 organ guns. When destroyed, crashes into the ground 3d6 in a random direction and hit stuff.

There' also chaos siege towers. T8, W20, mobile building that runs over stuff.

The new rules lean heavily toward building awesome cool stuff for special imaginative senarios. Make awesome stuff and play with it is essentially the idea.

Here's a link to two threads and pics by Ketara showing the progress on his Zeppelin, based off of the Lego Airship. I think the model could work well for this fantasy unit, too!

As for the trolls...

While they are 3 trolls shy of the hoard rule, thanks to the Monstrous support rule they can attack in 3 ranks with full profile attacks! So that unit of trolls does make sense in the new rules.

There have been rumours that I seem to remember being supported by harry that FW are making a warhammer scale airship...

Nice of the studio to give FW a chance to sneak something in.

There are a few blimp kits around. Revell of Germany released one a few years back but it is now out of production. Was always tempted to get one , and wish I had now.
Not sure of the size of the kits.
That is no Zepplin btw (sorry to be pedantic) again the Zepplin plastic kits come up on ebay every so often but can be a tad pricey, and are probably going to be too big for gameplay.

Good way to recycle pop (soda) bottles

I think it's time I dug out the designs for the Snotling Pump Tank and Troll Cannon (similar to a man-cannon, but for trolls.)

The length of the Revell Zepplin is 35cm. Approximately 12" so not too bad for gaming!
