There's a 1,000 point singles tournament coming up in a month and I'm preparing for it. This is what I'm playing on Monday as a test:
HQ - KFF Mek, Cybork, Burna - 110
Elite - Lootas x15 - 225
Elite - Burnas x14 - 210
Troops - Grots x10, Runtherd - 40
Troops - Grots x10, Runtherd - 40
Fast Attack - Deffkopta, TL Rokkit, Buzzsaw, Bigbomm - 85
Fast Attack - Deffkopta, TL Rokkit, Buzzsaw, Bigbomm - 85
Fast Attack - Deffkopta, TL Rokkit, Buzzsaw, Bigbomm - 85
Heavy - Battlewagon, Deffrolla, Grot Riggers, Big Shoota - 120
---
1000
Burnas and Big Mek sit in Battlewagon, rolling around setting things on fire. 15 Templates in one spot = Dead unit
Lootas sit in the back with Grots in front providing cover.
Deffkoptas; if I'm going first, Scout 24", Move 12", shoot TL rokkits at back/side of armor, assault stationary armor. If I'm going second, hold in reserve, outflank, crack armor. Making Bomming runs over gunline infantry (it's an imperial guard gunline-heavy meta).
That pretty much sums it up. The only thing I'm considering is that instead of the Battlewagon, Burnas, and Grots, for that same 440 I can field two full units of Shoota Boyz, complete with PK Nobs. Thoughts?
inb4 Claypool says "Split your Lootas."

I think it's a little light on infantry. There doesn't appear to be a clear focus - is it shooty or CC? It's sort of somewhere in the middle, doing neither well. You only have 49 infantry, 15 of which probably won't see CC (lootas), and 20 that are pretty much useless in it (grots).
This leaves the burnas - if their transport gets popped (and it will be heavily targetted, as it is the main threat) your looking at having to footslog them across the board. They won't survive.
I DO like Burnas in the wagon, but I'm not convinced of how worthwhile it is at this point-level. I'm doing a similar thing with my Deffkoptas - I think that 'alpha-strike' tactic is pretty much indispensable for Ork players.
It's worth pointing out that I don't think there are any BAD choices, just choices that might not work as well at this point-level as others.
Here's a link to my 1000pt list - the revised list is at the bottom of the page. Check it out, let me know what you think!

The biggest problem I see you having is the solitary battlewagon. It has a giant "Shoot Me!" sign on it. While the Big Mek will be riding in it giving you a 4+ save, every heavy weapon will be leveled at the wagon and then at the koptas.
I think I would do something like this:
HQ
Big Mek - KFF - 85
Elites
5 Lootas - 75
5 Lootas - 75
10 Burnas - 150
Troops
12 Boys - S&C, Nob, BP, PK, Trukk, RPJ - 152
12 Boys - See above - 152
13 Grots - Runtherd - 49
Fast Attack
1x Deffkopta - Buzzsaw, TL Rokkit - 60
1x Deffkopta - Buzzsaw, TL Rokkit - 60
Heavy Support
Battlewagon - Deffrolla, Big Shoota, RPJ - 120
998 Points
With the lootas split, you can (hopefully) crack more small armor each turn, the 13 grots can spread out amongst any objectives/screen lootas. I could only fit in 10 burnas and took all the other stuff off the mek. He shouldn't be put into a melee. Plus, 10 burnas can still easily get you 40+ hits.
I would take the big bomms off the koptas, make 'em do the burny dance from the safety of your wagon.
I personally don't like grot riggers and think RPJ would be a better 5 point upgrade. Plus, adding in the 2 trukks gives your opponent more targets to shoot at.
I have limited experience with IG and tournaments in general, but at 1000 points, my list would probably look something like this.

Split your Loo..... Hmmmm... Well, I have nothing else to say.
But seriously, you don't have enough target saturation in this list. Battlewagons work best in pairs so the enemy has to split fire (which equals Ork win)
I also think you're lacking good troops, which are the core of any Ork army.

Hey boyz before toyz and you have way to many toyz. You need to do just a big mek w/ kff, 2 20 boyz mobz w/ nob w/ power klaw and bosspole. and maybe a warboss w/ pk, cybork, 'eavy, bosspole, and an el cheapo nob squad w/ a painboy and 3 deff rollaed battlewagonz. The battlewagons need to have: deff rolla, armor platez, red paint, and grot riggerz.

I appreciate all the feedback. In general, I do understand the weaknesses of the list. What I'm trying to do here is come up with a list that sort of deals with the threats I experienced in my last tournament. The six 1,000 point armies I played were:
Wing DP (Warptime), Wing DP (Warptime), Defiler, Nurgle Marines in Rhino, Nurgle Marines in Rhino
Wing DP (Warptime), Obliterator, Obliterator, Kharn with Berserkers in Rhino, Berserkers in Rhino
Huge IG Gunline (Autoguns, Leman Russes)
Huge IG Gunline (Autoguns, Psykers)
Mech Blood Angels (Land Raider, Rhino, Razorback, Mephiston)
Mech Space Wolves (Land Raider, Rhino, Razorback, Wolflord)
These are the sort of lists I anticipate facing next month, which I think this list compensates for pretty well. Not to mention, I went out of my way to model 15 burnas and a burna Mek, and just bought a battlewagon. I know that dropping the burnas and battlewagon and grots and going for the two 30 man shoota units is the smart choice. I'm gonna run the list above and report back on Monday how it fared.

I hope you do well with it mate! The beauty of Orks is you just never know how they will work out until you get out there in the field.
At 1,000 points the best list I've ever run was Nob bikers BUT the most REWARDING list I ever ran was Kan Wall shooty time! Basically 6 Killa Kans with Grotzookas, KMBs, 90 Boys some lootas and a Mek with KFF. That list shocked most MEQ's and ate Chaos for breakfast! (I put the Kans in 3 units of 2 and tied up their big nasties like SOul Grinders and Demon Princes in H2H) then eliminated their scoring units with some 300=350 shots per turn!
Moral of the story is: Play what you will have most fun with. If you have fun with the Orks, they will know it and will treat you well. If you build an army and decide you want something different becuase your being competitive (not fun) they will know and some of them may even leave home without their favorite choppa!
