Well, not very easy to present my game here (feel like shouting "kill the grots" alone and naked in front of a Waag

Eden is a skirmishes game, played with 3 to 6 models on a 60*60cm table (23 inches square). A game lasts 5 rounds for a total duration of 1h
We have designed it as a compact format wargame, played when you lack of time, space or just want to relax between 2 matches of Warhammer or Warmachine

Eden is sat up in a post apocalyptical universe, were survivors struggle for their lifes.
4 factions at the moment, with a (very and for some players "too" ) strong visual identity and radicaly different gameplays

Eden features :
Alternated activation of the miniatures, with the possibility to bypass your opponent if you have a faster fighter
1 mission objective per player (picked among 18 mini scenarii)
Tactical deck build before the battle to draw one special effect per round
Hits localisation, with the possibility to aim your blows
Wounds actually affecting your fighters by reducing their skills
Special abilities adding character and gaming depth to the game

English rules and gaming material can be downloaded for free from http://www.taban-miniatures.com.

Models come packed in starter boxes (3 to 6 minis for 100 gaming points) allowing to play the game with no additional miniatures.
And also in blisters to try new combos or buff up your army.

So far this game is a real success inFrance were many players feel the same "waow effect" they experienced years ago with Confrontation.
(Rather normal since most of our staff worked for Rackham)

well enough said, here are some pictures of the range so far... and if you are not sure about the models, just read the rules, the gaming system is rather fun and addictive !

I am actually a huge fan of the mechanical serpent and the mechanical centaur. Basically, the entire "ICS" faction looks great.
How large are these miniatures? 28mm? 32mm?

I personally dig the Biohazard faction. Very cool find, thanks for sharing.

There is no art more beautiful or diverse than the art of Death.

Oops sorry about this detail...
Scale is "32mm heroic", like Reaper's warlord or Confrontation :
Human size models are 32 to 35mm top of head, large mutants 40 to 60mm, beasties 28 to 32mm tall (with the exception of the Bayakoyé standing 50mm tall)
The robots vary a lot, but usually tower above the fighters crowd : serpent 40mm, komuso 35mm, Rikishi 50mm, Hadakauma (centaur) 80mm !

Lycal pack is way cool, though there's a lot of good happening all over these releases. Definitely can never have too many minis using barrels as weapons

My big problem is the models - I'm really not a huge fan of irradiated Kenyans or Juggalos. In fact, I find it disturbing there are any Juggalos left after the apocalypse. However, the quality of sculpting is solid. I'm sure it's a decent game, but I just can't get over the minis.

Am I slowed, or did he not post a link to his website?

There is an attitude that not having an insanely optimized, one shot, six stage, omnidirectional, inevitable, mousetrap of an assassin list army somehow means that you have foolishly wasted your life building 500 points of pure, 24 karat, hand rolled, fine, cuban fail. That attitude has been shown, under laboratory conditions, to cause cancer of the fun gland.

I'm really liking the models as a whole and as long as there's a good backstory, I'll be happy to send in the post-apocalyptic clowns.

The rules sound intriguing, too, especially with targeted attacks having appreciable effects. Iit sounds like this game toes the line between skirmish and RPG rulesets. I'll have to give this a read to see how it handles it.

Price range for a starter set? Rules included or is there a need to purchase a separate rulebook? I really like the "buy one/two boxes and you're good" sales format...

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

The rulebook is free from the website; there doesn't appear to be a book yet, as far as I can see. The starter sets are 31 euro a box, which isn't too bad. I'm tempted to buy a couple of starters and see if my local club wants a go as it looks really interesting

I stand corrected, you can get a printed version of the download for 1.5 euro when you buy the card decks from their online store.

Our team is a bunch of Fallout / Akira / Gunmm addicts...
hence the targeted damages and manga inspirations...

I plan to translate the factions background and post it on the website before the 15th of July.
We still lack a full rulebook with stories, painted models pictures + rules... At the moment, the rules booklet (also included in the starters) is only 30 pages with no fluff inside.
our priority is to release many models and playtest them to keep the game well balanced
A bigger pdf version should be made this summer, along with a demonstration video of the game.

We will keep you guys informed on the UK and US forums !

Cheers

A small update to inform the Forum members who are interested by these models and don't have a local (or online) retailer providing our stuff, that shipping will be free worldwide until the end of July...
