I play war games a lot i visit my flgs like 4-5 times a week. its close enough for me too bike there, and so far i have thrown some bubble wrap in my backpack with my miniatures in there. it does not work, things break and paint chips a lot. can someone tell me where i can find a transportation case that i can bike with that will keep my hordes/warmachine models safe. I only need to carry like 25 troops 2 heavy war beasts and 3 light war beasts. That I can bike with

GW sells some good cases. They're pretty cheap too. I've never had a problem with throwing them into a box with plastic bags as padding. It gets them where they need to go until I get something better.

Hence why you use a backpack.

Do you have a rack on your bike? If not, that would be my first purchase. If you need something to go in a backpack, try a flat fishing tackle box with one or two sides. They aren't expensive, and you can wrap and individually pack each mini. If you need room for larger beasties, break out the dremel or hobby knife and remove some dividers.

If more of us valued food and cheer and 40K over hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

Ah, a tacklebox. Good idea. Also, mattress foam is nice. You might be able to get a free mattress if you buy some

Jackass moment:

Just get a car and drive.

Biking and keeping models intact is HARD, because they move around and bounce around so much. Find a good tackle box, and stuff the crap out it with foam. Getting a decently lined and padded backpack would be even better.

Or possibly one of those metal baskets on the front. Put a layer of foam on the bottom to cushion it better, then just strap the case in as securely as possible.

Don't forget to put a flower on the basket on the front of your bike though...that stuff is important!

Unless you have some major inner ear issues, you can bike just fine with any army case hung on one of the handle bars. I have one of these full of metal miniatures and I bike with it no problem.

You can get camera bag backpacks, they have loads of compartments. With some added foam/bubble wrap it should do the job.

GW sell a nice rucksack, it can hold 2 GW cases as well as space for other crap you may have at the time. It's about £45.

PACK 1520 from battlefoam - has backpack straps on it. Imagine a carrying case larger than anything anyone else has to offer that is *also* a backpack!

I he could afford that, he wouldn't need to bike to his FLGS.

I personally don't like the idea of a GW case strapped to your back. They look like gun cases.

Battle Foam would be a better option. Just go to their website. I own the 1520. A smaller one would be fine for you, I'm thinking.

As other suggest, get a small, hard-sided figures case and put it in a backpack.

The GW case is a good starting point.

Problem solved.

Here is one - Wargaming Backpack

or this tactical backpack

Note that in both of these cases, these are rather expensive bags that do not include the hard sided figure cases they are meant to work with. As you say you're 14, it's a pretty safe assumption that you already have a book bag/backpack for school. As such, you should just get a hard sided case and call it a day.
