Nice of the government to protect you from all those naughty words Bad media people!
Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

They arent, all they do is whine about the FCC over there, i fear it may be the same as over here.. you know.. where a small minority makes the rules for everyone else.
What percentage of people in the UK are screaming liberals who think that Somalians should get free housing and Pedos should get Playstation 3s and broadband internet is a basic human right and soldiers are baby rapers? 5%?
The spankers make all the rules mate. Thats just the way of things.
Nice to see the appeal successful.
We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

US appeals court strikes down media swearing ban
The FCC said the court's decision was "anti-family" A US appeals court has struck down a government policy that banned the broadcasting of profanity, ruling that the rule is unconstitutional.
The policy was drawn up in 2004 and meant that broadcasters could be fined if indecent words went on air.
The court said the FCC's (Federal Communications Commission) policy had a "chilling effect" on broadcasters.
The many media outlets that challenged the rule said that they were satisfied with the ruling.
The court said banning all "patently offensive" references to sex, sexual organs and excretion without a clear definition of what is considered offensive, effectively chills speech and creates an atmosphere of fear among America's broadcasters.
FCC commissioner Michael Copps called the court's decision "anti-family" and said the commission would "clarify and strengthen its indecency framework".

It is a few people that ruin it for the rest of us over here.
It was a pretty easy ban to get around though, you only had to comply with it if you were a network that was broadcast for free, meaning something that you could pickup with an antenna, like nbc, fox... If you were considered a premium service you could get away with anything, thats how we got wonderful programming like Southpark.

South Park is an abomination, it is very heavily partisan. If you are going to allow program amkers get away with the content of programs like South Park then the manure has to be spread evenly.
You can have outrageous comedy and even heavily politicise, it but it must be fair agenda if you do. Spitting image is a good example of this done well. They did puppet porn long before Trey and Stone claimed to have poineered it and had no probolems with crossing taboo lines with regards to politics, public figures, nationality relgion etc. However it doesnt have the partisan taint to it South Park does.
n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

South Park is allowed to be partisan, It's not the BBC news.
They are allowed to be offensive and have an opinion. Spitting Image also has an opinion and was also very biased, you probably just agreed with their slant.
Both programs are ace IMHO.
On Topic
Remember that America was founded (partially) by all those football/dance/fun banning puritan killjoys and things like this make more sense.

So liberals are scum yet this liberal decision to appeal a conservative ban on profanity is all good?
Keep in mind that the US was founded by people that were kicked out of England for being wackos.
Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do
