Everytime I see them I think of the different coloured Minis in the Italian job. I thought that the WW2 daleks were awesome though.
One thing that Dr Who seems to be doing is using the Daleks every time they need to fill a random episode slot, for me it means that they are loosing a lot of their impact and are less menacing. It also seems a little daft that the return of the Daleks was handled quite near the begining of the new series and then not mentioned for the rest of it, I am fairly sure that if my 900 year old arch nemesis returned from the dead it would be a bigger deal.

I totally agree with you there. The current Daleks don't really look as good as the other ones, and they simply look like they're being used when the writers cannot think of a plot.
"Ok, so what have we planned for next week's episode"
"Umm...Daleks?"
"Sure, whatever"
Also, something which is anathema to me is how every single time the Doc defeats them, he always states that "they were the last ones", yet next time, they have some even crappier way to create new ones, simply to keep the most common enemy going, therefore keeping the viewers watching.
I don't like them. The previous ones were a great redesign. These New Paradigm ones look too plasticky and their bums look too big. (Remember the Daleks at the end of Chris Ecclestone's incumbency were new paradigm as they were created from human cells.)
And yes, the Daleks are in danger of getting overused. Though I did enjoy all the Dalek episodes in the last five seasons.
Blink along with the Empty Child have to be two of my favorite episodes since the re-vamp. I just hope we dont get the weeping angels making a miraculous come back per series, They were a cracking bad guy and leaving the fans wanting more will ensure that they are remembered as such.
Not sure what can be done about the new "Megane" style Daleks, they may be here to stay.
did something happen to the daleks in the new season because were still waiting for the season one finale next Saturday here in the states.
Or are you talking about the new colorful daleks

Your Torrent-Fu is weak my son. Also BBC America sucks, as it is made for American television...and commercials...so they cut as much as they can out of the British version of each show. It is much better to watch from the source, if you know how to make torrents work.
Well if you have time warner you can get them on bbc on demand. Not to bad if you have your dvr filled with you're wife's hgtv shows. Not the reason I got the dvr but you know what it makes her happy.
I liked the older dalaks better than the ones now. I have been rewatching the entire dr who right from the beginning. The dalaks were much better even in the early 1960s.
