hey Dakka...
here are the close-ups of my latest commission...
my first proper display mini!!!
since i had so many pics on hand i went for the full 360 view...
can you have too many pics???
probably not...
there are 10 shots in the collage, so you can really check him from all angles...
have a look, and cast your vote ...
http://coolminiornot.com/257412
my brief was to take the studio scheme, and make it better...
i hope i pulled it off...
i made a few changes from the studio version, mostly to bring more detail to the paint job...
battle damage, buzz cut, and freehand rank badge are all additions to the PP version...
for a more detailed description of the paint job check the previous submission, or head over to my blog to read my usual full write-up on the paint work...
it was nice to paint a PP mini after a 2 year break from their stuff...
it's got me excited for the next job...
i hope you like him...
thanks for lookin'...
cheers

Excellent facial highlighting, cloak colouration and depth is also great.
Your axe gore-splatter is tastefully done, I wish more would take your example there that 'less is really more'.

Oh man, as said before that is a really, really sweet model. I've had a look at your 360 view and voted and I've got to say, it only got better the more pics you took!

Oh my.....
That paint job is fantastic. The base is very nice. I agree with the comment on the gore on the Axe- wicked
I was particularly impressed with the highlighting on the belly/crotch plates.
Can't believe I missed this- Thanks for pointing me here MGS!!

Seriously good paint job. Kinda puts me off getting the butcher as I know I'll never paint that well.

Oh awesome, I've just seen your breakdown of how you painted him and it's made me so happy! This should be massively useful, might PM with some questions at some point, but this should keep me going for a while!
