I love it how Dakka Dakka has a spell checker now, or is it?. My question is, when I type Dakka Dakka, how come it says Dakka Dakka needs to be corrected? Or is this a Safari thing? The only way I can log on Dakka DAkka is with Safari so I don't know if it's Safari or Dakka Dakka spell checker.

The spell checker is in your browser.

...I like how this topic implies that you visit no other websites besides Dakka.

If you are using Firefox then the spell checker is an addon to that, nothing to do with Dakka.

You can also right click on the word and click 'Add to dictionary' in most browsers to stop it being highlighted as a typo.

I've added dozens of terms to my dictionary since starting 40k.

How the heck is Primarch or Adeptus Astartes not in the dictionary?

Probably the same reason why GameFAQs built in one accepts my name but claims that spellcheck (spelt like that on it's own button) is wrong

Someone has to build the database and it's pretty impossible not to miss words.

Ah thanks guys. As to the comment I only visit Dakka Dakka. LMFAO, well it use to be one of the few sites I visit. I thought I got banned since I couldn't log on with explorer. I found out with Safari (which I didn't know I had, guess when wife installed her ipod stuff I got it) that I wasn't banned from Dakka Dakka but problem logging on.

So when I use safari, it's only for Dakka Dakka. I use explorer for the other sites I visit.

I always get confused when there's a topic like this, because for some reason firefox never uses the spellchecker on my computer, even when I switch the checker off and then back on.

I cant live without spell checkers. I used to be a good speller when I was a wee lad, but forsome reason I just cant spell to save me. The worst is when I misspell a word so bad the checker gives me the wrong ones Then I have to think of a different word

You probably don't have any dictionaries installed. Right-click in the text field, go down to Languages, then Add Dictionaries.
