Hey folks!
Razorbacks cost $2 more than rhinos.
Is the razorback just a rhino with a gun on top? Can I buy a razorback box and just not add the gun on top and have a rhino? So that I can mix and match as I need?

I think so. It's exactly the same except it comes with a top hatch thing. As long as it has the hatch doors, you should be fine

it also comes with the rhino top hatch, so you can easily change it back and forth. I see no reason to ever buy the straight rhino kit in all honesty

True.
Also, the TL Heavy bolter and TL Assault cannon turrets from the LR and LRC/ LRR kits fit perfectly as RB turrets.

I think that was why they put the Twin-Linked Assault Cannons in as an option for Razorbacks, just in case people clued into the interchangeability of the kits.

Although oddly enough the Land Raider heavy bolter turret uses slightly different parts to the Razorback version. So while the turrets as a whole are interchangable, the individual parts are not.
And just for redundancy, with a slight amount of shaving as the turret ring tends to be a bit of a tight fit, the Defiler Autocannons also fit on a Razorback.

Ya the rhino kit just takes up shelf space. I really so no point in GW continuing to make it when the Razorback is the exact same thing, just with a turret that can be removed.

I was just going to say that
Yes, they do. Quite well. Which is why Chaos needs razorbacks with Reaper cannons
Also, the defiler's heavy flamer fits in a standard marine hatch. By that same coin, you can put a standard hatch on a defiler, which results in a guy hanging out of the side of a defiler

Oooohh! I never noticed this, I'm SO getting Defiler autocannons to replace the HBs on my Alpha Legion Land Raider. They'll still COUNT AS HB, but look cooler
