Anyone know of any kind of turtle/ tourtise models out there? I have an old style Slaan model for my lizardmen, and I thought it might be cool to have his throne on top of a giant turtle kinda thing, instead of being carried by the old fashioned saruses that won't match the rest of my army I tried looking at Reaper but didn't see anything. Dunno where else to look....

The rhinodon could be a mean looking snapper if you took his tail off.
You can see Malfred's here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/420/212216.page#top

The Rhinodon's upright pose and back spines would make it a tricky model to base your conversion off of. Still, it's definitely large enough to mount a Slaan on its back.

Not sure, but this guy from Reaper looks nice for a Slann mount if converted correctly:

You could always just find a small turtle toy. One you would find in like a museum gift shop.

Check out Dark Sword Miniatures. They have a few odd Frog and Turtle minis like this one:

Edit: Looks like this is the first mini in a Tortoise line they are producing.

wow I like some of those dark sword minis. The turtle cleric would be great for another model, and the frog mage is great too. I saw that one turtle guy from reaper but it looks like he's gonna attack something, I was hoping for just a plain ole turtle on all fours with the throne on top of his shell. it's not a mount that can attack so I don't want to confuse people. If only they were allowed to be mounted on a steagdon .. surprised they didn't do that since that was the big new kit they wanted to sell tons of when they redid lizards...
I have a spare salamander from a trade, maybe I can just use that and sculpt my own shell around the body with green stuff. All I really need is the feets and head poking out.

I'm pretty sure you could get a miniature of the Great A' Tuin, from the diskworld series. That might be exactly what you're looking for. Trouble is, it's exactly what I'm looking for as well, and despite scouring the internet for the model, I still haven't found a link (or even a picture.) If you can't find anything else, that turtle dragon suggested on the Warseer thread seems perfect if you filed the spikes down and smoothed it off.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Those are pretty cool they might have made good skinks. I was originally planning to use the wargods of aegyptus crocodile guys for my kroxigors too.
I just ordered the war turtle though, he should be good for my slaan.
